I have a theory about the first act:
I was thinking, since this was performed already by him, it is possible that people at home may think it's boring bc they are sure nothing will happen so he tried to step it up by PRETENDING to be nervous and that the technical issues are also planned. He was taking a high risk with that, since the people who were actually there are way more scared and thinking of the worst case, which could lead to this outcome he got at the end - the judges ending the act.
If course it's just my assumption but It's a possibility. If it was and he had said it, it would have still been a great act , since he managed to improve an act he already showed by just letting it seem more dangerous, than it actually was.

If alesha pulls four levers, I dont think any of the first four bows would hit him. In my opinion, the machine is preset to shoot the heart-target only at the pull of the last lever, no matter what the number sequence is. (Sorry for my bad English)
