I spend my hours reacting to music from all over the world! I realised i was listening to English music only even though i am Bilingual. So i decided to enjoy different genres of music from all over the world in front of a Camera!
I have only started recently and am still growing so I am also reacting to Battlerap and Anime but slow progress is better than no progress right?

The best reaction to this song I’ve seen so far. Thanks man for being real.
+1
People from Poland have generational trauma after World War II. My generation didn't experience war but we carry this burden through couture and our gens. Thus we feel really moved and scared because now war is happening right next to us, it awakes this trauma in ourselves.
This is a huge generalization. I have no trauma, even my parents don't have it though they were born during the II war. Also I am not scared, not a bit. I suggest that you speak for yourself, not for the whole nation. Roman below dobrze to ujął. :) If they come they flee quickly
I live in Poland, in Krakow. Every day, when I go to university, I see lots of Ukrainian women with children, every day I cry seeing the pain in their eyes, the longing for their husbands, the fear for their children, the fear for tomorrow. In Polish the lyrics is more powerful and poetry. This song captures the feelings beautifully, but what is happening cannot be told or sung. Thank you for your reaction ❤️
Lyrics of that song can be read in few ways.
First off all, the song begins with a child singing, which could be associated with a lullaby. It is a very telling message, considering the childrens who cross the border alone, without their parents, eg. the border between Poladn and Ukraine (everyone in Poland has seen such stories since the war broke out).
Seen from a different perspective, the song tells the tragedy of mother who wants to protect her child with all her might from the tragedy of war. A mother who would gie anything for the peace and safety of her family.
On the other hand, bearing in mind that the melody of the song refers to the work known in Poland: "Prząśniczka" composed by Stanisław Mioniuszko in 1846 (every Pole knows this piece from music lessons in primary school; many people remember itswords), one can assume a wider context. In old Poland, it was the motherland that was referred to as the "mother", and all citizens were its "children". If we look at the words of the song in this sense, then the drama of a soldier fighting for peace to his homeland appears.
Poles have tears in their eyes when they hear it, I greet you from Poland
In Poland, people also metaphorically name their land as "mother". The song shows the drama of Ukrainians and their families, but also the attitudes of ordinary people who are just fighting for their mother with a much bigger opponent, risking their lives.
This is the best reaction I've ever seen. All income from the song will be donated to Ukraine.
Greetings from Poland bro! 🙂
I’m Glad you enjoyed! And I’m so glad Poland is being so supportive of Ukraine!
In this song They sing "idź precz" in English translate its "go away" but in Poland we say "idź precz" when we are very very angry. It's something more than just "go away"
"Idź precz" means rather "Go to hell" than "Go away"
@@joannamazurkiewicz7351 A tam, kogo to obchodzi.
Ten utwór to sztos. Pokazuje ból wojny , moj pradziadek zabrany podczas II wojny światowej na oczach żony i mojej babki przez żołnierzy hitlerowskich....Ból
STOP WARS !
That song is dedicated to Ukraine and all profits go to help victims.
Melody line is inspired on 'The Spinisters' by Moniuszko- that is old song set deep in Polish culture ( licics are less sober) that every child learn in shool from generations and many mothers sing it as lulababy.
Also Igor is from Łemkowie- ethnic minority from mountains in bordelainn between Poland and Ukraine, that suffered a lot duuring WWII and not many of them left.
Igor is Lemko

I appreciate your reaction.
It's not only about war in Ukraine but about every war from child perspective.
In Poland we've had many wars. Unfortunetly.
Sanah and Igor are amazing young Polish artists

Yes, you are correct. This song is about the war, mostly about orphaned kids, kids that lose their families (That's why child is singing first). Those kids needs home, need some stability in their lifes, that they don't have now. Picture is about it - having dinner together is a sybol of home, the warmth of the family home. Whole song is about it: Moms are crying most of the time, beacouse someone hurts their famielies, their kids and their country. They are loosing their mens, when they are going fight. They don't know what to do to protect that all. It must feel really lonely, to deal with it all alone. Even if they had help from other countries, still menatlly they are drowing. It's frighting and scary. People in this country looses everything. And that's horrible.
Some things:
- You translated "Idź precz" as "go away" and it's correct, but in Poland we use it when we are very very mad. Just wanted you to know.
- When you have "mamo tyś płakała" you can use translator to see how to read it. It's hard to explain.
- This is the best reaction for this song that I've seen. Like, you had lyrics, you were trying to understand. Mostly all those youtoubers reacting for that didn't understand what is this about, they didn't understand the lyrics and didn't even try to understand contecst. You did. I am so pround, and that you really tried to did it well... Just precious. This deserve to subcription
It is all Pain about war in Ukraine
@@magakam8583 yes
In English there is a phrase "go to hell" and in Polish we also use this phrase and it does not mean the same, but it has a strong overtone. In my opinion, it better reflects the power of the Polish "idź precz". "Go away" is rather used when you don't want to be in someone's company and "idź precz" is rather just "get the fuck out and close the door behind you" only without swearing.
@@angogregory914 yes, great explaining
@@angogregory914 exactly (dokładnie tak)
In Poland when we call 'mother" it sometimes means "the homeland".
Yes But mosly literly Mother your biologycaly and Mother as Wife
This song is a response to the war in Ukraine and Russia's attack on innocent people. the war has been going on for a month. During this time, 2 million refugees (mainly women and children) from Ukraine came to Poland, and we try to help them as best we can.
Only Poland know what Ukraine is feeling bless and i hope you as well
I'm from Poland and I think that Igor Herbut has THE BEST voice on whole world. You have to check his other songs :-) for example "Lwia Część", "Corda"...
And your reaction is beautiful!
I am musician,i understand your reaction so much,i feel this so deep too.Thank you for this true emotions!yes, music can explain evrything, better than language!
Hi I am from Poland, the song is 10 times more powerful when you can uderstand it becuse in some parts it is more like a poem so it is hard to translate some words with the same emotional power.
But here is the best translation I have found so far. I am really grateful that I am able to understand it while they are singing. I hope it will help, and perhaps Sanah and Igor will record Englisg version too.
Igor voice is so powerful and full of emotions because he has Ukrainian roots.

They singing about people of steel and it relates to when soviet invasioning poland and ukraine - it was called steel curtain
The best reaction to this song I’ve seen so far! I appreciate you having subtitles ready and that you were even reading them to us. The melody and voices (I especially like the male one) convey emotions very well, but the lyrics give the full picture. I like "how can I protect you and on which side" part the most because the mood changes from "mother, save me, take me away from here" to "how can I protect you" when the singing person find out they are not a children anymore, they have to take responsibility and action on their shoulders now, because the mother is just a human being, she can't solve that horrible situation anymore, it's out of control now. And that part "on which side"... doesn't that mean they could do anything, literally everything, even betraying, taking the enemy's side to save a loved one? Very tough decisions. And I can't stop thinking that when the song is ending, it's because the mother, the child or both of them... have been just killed by same stray bullet or something. And I have goosebumps every time I listen to this song!
Thank you very much for your reaction. Greetings from Poland!

Hi, I'm really impressed your deep reaction. Maybe I can help a bit with pronunciation: "mamo tyś płakała" "mamo tysh pwakawa" (it is difficult to Find similar sound in English "ś" because it is very soft, "ł" we read as "w" and we read all letters). I hope it is helpful. Thanks for your reaction :)

Maybe this will help you understand this song:
Mama you've been crying
No use for lying
Deep in your eyes I see you're hurt again.
One more punch they're throwing
Steel fists are glowing
Brighter than tears blending into rain.
Tuck in, tuck in
My eyes wide open
They'll come when I close them
Cry out, cry out
Cry out to heaven
A miracle could happen
What you want
Take, take what you want
Take it all
Take, take and just go
Leave alone
Leave, leave us alone
I have no
Tears left, they're all gone
Mama you've been crying
No use for lying
Deep in your eyes I see you're hurt again.
One more punch they're throwing
Steel fists are glowing
Brighter than tears blending into rain.
How can I protect you? Who do I turn to?
Nowhere to run away from evil eyes
Scream is all they make me
Mama, please, take me
Take me somewhere they won't find us.
I long, I long
I long for those days
When I knew the right ways
Today, today
Air filled with noise
Made me lose my voice
What you want
Take, take what you want
Take it all
Take, take and just go
Leave alone
Leave, leave us alone
I have no
Tears left, they're all gone
Mama you've been crying
No use for lying
Deep in your eyes I see you're hurt again.
One more punch they're throwing
Steel fists are glowing
Brighter than tears blending into rain.
How can I protect you? Who do I turn to?
Nowhere to run away from evil eyes
Scream is all they make me
Mama, please, take me
Take me somewhere they won't find us.
Słucham i płaczę.
I'm from in Poland. Thanks
❤❤I am very happy that someone from England reacts to our Polish songs

RESPECT from Poland. Sub
Mate, these are 2 best voices in Poland actually. Absolutely beautiful. Awesome young talented people. Igor is crazy, melting my heart. And you don't really need that much context, obviously it's war and it's a tribute for Ukrainians. Translation is pretty decent.
Poles have artistic souls ❤️🇵🇱
please listen to "lwia część" by Igor Herbut. you will fall in love
Love this song! So beautiful, please lisen to you. 🇵🇱💗

❤️🇵🇱
the song is written from the view point of a child that is watching and living horrors of war. Mind you children often want to protect crying mothers from harm, and here all this child can do is shout which is not enough when faced with soldiers/occupiers, the song is full of helplessness and raw pain of parents not being able to protect their children from war and children not being able to protect mothers from the blows and hurt inflicted by the enemy. This is how I understand it, but it is singing poetry, so different people may have different opinion, as poetry often does.
Mamo tyś płakała 🤗
It's most about the war Russia-Ukraine
This song is beautiful, can't explain my feelings about it. ❤️
the song was written as a protest against the war and all the cruelty associated with it during the Warsaw Uprising. It has a universal character, no matter who it concerns, anywhere in the world, on any continent. This time Ukraine is experiencing it and that is why this cover of the song was created to protest against the war and to support all those people who were wronged there with the song. Greetings from Poland
,, Co mi Panie dasz,, polecam. 🇵🇱
Dear Friend, You must see another song, new but it talks about II world war , Kolęda warszawska by Margaret. There song hurts deep my heart. I`m from Poland. Thank You for Your reaction Mama tyś płakała. Greetings from Zawadzkie, Poland.
you got it pretty close, tho still waiting for that 2nd reaction you mention, can help you with translation and content of each line, im native
😭😭😭❤️
The mother means the HOMELAND, COUNTRY too
this song is about being victim of war.
I also recommend the song in the same context: Kamil Bednarek i Dana Vynnytska - "Nad zieloną miedzą". PL ♥ UA
You were reading the real lyric
Jestem z polski

Mamo tyś płakała hehe
Piosenka na te czasy na wojnie
Mother in this song is a metaphor for homeland, in this case, Poland.
Płakała🙂🇺🇦🇵🇱
Moments before watching your reaction, I saw the reaction of a Ukrainian man (he is in Ukraine, while his wife, children and mother are nowe in Poland) who interprets the song in such a way that first sings the confused and sad child who, terrified of war, worries about his/her mother, then the mother sings, the third is the voice of a father who is far away and misses his family (this sadness and rage in his voice…). This interpretation appeals to me very much... But I wanted to write this comment to let you know that I really appreciate your effort to understand the song in a language you don't know, and I am impressed by your sensibility. For me it is another proof that music is an international language of good people. Thank you for not removing the video and that I could watch it.
Reading lots of comments I’ve realised there is a lot of different interpretations of this song and this comment definitely makes me understand a better perspective! Thank you for commenting and thank you for taking the time to watch.
✨plajaja✨
For me, "Mama" has two meanings here. Mother and homeland, homeland is the mother of everyone.
❤️🇵🇱💙💛🇺🇦
Yes it's a child in the beginning.
Płakała you pronounce kinda like: pla- (like in platypus) -ka- (like ca in car) - la (like in lala land xD).
Your translation is kinda meh, but it's so hard to properly transcribe it not just translate it.
Here is my translation, you cant sing along with it cos the rythm isnt there but it conveys the meaning a bit better i think:
Mamo tyś płakała | Mommy you have been crying
Oczy tyś miała | Eyes you’ve had
Szerokie, czy Cię znowu skrzywdził ktoś? | Wide open, has someone hurt you again?
Oni cios zadali | They’ve struck a blow
Ludzie ze stali | The people (made) of steel
Patrzą ci w oczy | They look into your eyes
Gdy mówisz dość | As you say enough
Otul, otul | Tuck in, tuck in
Me oczy jasne | My eyes bright (as in wide, bighteyed)
Czekają aż zasnę | are awaiting for me to fall asleep
Wołaj, wołaj | Cry out, call out
Wołaj do nieba | cry to heaven
Cudu potrzeba | a miracle is needed
Weź co chcesz | Take what you will
Co, co, co tam chcesz | What, what, whatever you want
Wszystko bierz | take it all
Bierz, bierz i idź precz | Take it, take it and AWAY WITH YOU
I ten stres | and the stress
I ten cały stres | and all this stress
Sobie weź | you take that too
Dosyć już mam łez | I’ve had enough of tears (of crying)
Mamo tyś płakała | Mommy you have been crying
Oczy tyś miała | Eyes you’ve had
Szerokie, czy Cię znowu skrzywdził ktoś? | Wide open, has someone hurt you again?
Oni cios zadali | They’ve struck a blow
Ludzie ze stali | The people (made) of steel
Patrzą ci w oczy | They look into your eyes
Gdy mówisz dość | As you say enough
Jak ja Cię obronię i po czyjej stronie | How will I defend you and on whose side
Stanąć mam dziś, gdy oczu wrogich sto | stand shall I today, when there is a hundred hostile eyes (gazes)
Krzyk mój to za mało | Scream of mine is not enough
Zabierz mnie mamo | Take me away mommy
Gdzieś tam daleko | Somewhere far
Daleko stąd | Far away from here
Tęsknię, tęsknię | I long, I long
Za latami | For years
Gdy podpowiadali | When they’ve been hinting
Dzisiaj, dzisiaj |Today, today
Chcę krzyczeć z dala | I want to scream from afar
A głos nie działa | But my voice is mute
Weź co chcesz | Take what you will
Co, co, co tam chcesz | What, what, whatever you want
Wszystko bierz | Take it all
Bierz, bierz i idź precz | Take it, take it and AWAY WITH YOU
I ten stres | And the stress
I ten cały stres | and all this stress
Sobie weź | you take that too
Dosyć już mam łez | I’ve had enough of tears (of crying)
Mamo tyś płakała | Mommy you have been crying
Oczy tyś miała |Eyes you’ve had
Jesteś super gościu
