It's because being a follower seems like a bad thing nowadays and leadership is too much work. But life is bigger than this and there's no arbitrary Stat that applies to everything. Girl same!!!! I got a "QUICK/LONG" story.... So I was at work about a month ago and my team thought I had clocked out but I was still in n the building.... I overheard them talking ish about me saying I reminded them of sha-na-na girl! SHA-NA-NA!! (🤣) When I walked to where they were all gathered at?! all laughing stopped at once and the GENERAL MANAGER who was also laughing looked like she had seen a ghost! Eyes big as saucers! She said, " Damitra, are you ok?! She asked me that because she was caught and didn't have "ish" else to say, I gave her a weak smile, clocked out, went 🏡 and called HR.... and reported it, they began an investigation and later told me they concluded the investigation and found no wrong doing. I said WHAT?! I gave you guys the exact time and date that this incident took place, all you had to do is LISTEN on the camera, they said, "well ma'am we dont have any AUDIO".... It's basically "he say, she say" .... So, after hearing this I'm upset and feeling played! on top of that, I still gotta work on a daily basis with these mofo's that done showed me what they REALLY think of me as a person! so my energy is no longer super up beat and sha-na-na-ish I guess🙄🤭 NOW... I'm reserved and quiet, but professional and I do my job. But after that incident my hours also got cut from 26 hours a week to like 8 hours.... And that was the general managers way of retaliating against me for reporting them.... So cutting my hours is there way of trying to get me to quit! So I lawyered tf up! And I'm still fighting it .... Long story long lol.... I refused to stay quiet on the issue I guess it doesn't quiet fall under a follower or bandwagoner lol maybe follower a bit? whatever.... If you dont stand for something you'll fall for anything.... I guess the lesson is don't be afraid to speak up.... Thanks for letting me share sis (needed that😌🤦🏿♀️)

@@Katarina23 i would give her short story examples. And I’d use my actual associates (non friends from high school) that are now living with the outcome of being a follower. Also i used you tube stories! Unfortunately they’d have deadly endings but it would help to drive my point home. Also i used myself! My family dynamic is shitty, like most of us and what’s going on in my family is truly annoying… everyone is literally following the lead of someone that should conduct themselves better, but isn’t. And the outcome of their decisions is really really showing! So she’s seeing it front and center. But also when you see the behavior starting or the story line coming into play (be it with her classmates that she may think are friends) start to talk about what’s going on but leave her with a “so are you noticing something about their behaviors?”.. and ask her to see if she notices and fill you in. And really make sure you remind her of the situation and want her fill in. And yea I’d end up yelling sometimes and I’d let her know I’m yelling bcse this is a life lesson not something you can overlook! (But I’m a yelling ass rabbit so you may want to remove the yelling! 😂😂😂.. just being honest!)

Girl same!!!! I got a "QUICK/LONG" story.... So I was at work about a month ago and my team thought I had clocked out but I was still in n the building.... I overheard them talking ish about me saying I reminded them of sha-na-na girl! SHA-NA-NA!! (🤣) When I walked to where they were all gathered at?! all laughing stopped at once and the GENERAL MANAGER who was also laughing looked like she had seen a ghost! Eyes big as saucers! She said, " Damitra, are you ok?! She asked me that because she was caught and didn't have "ish" else to say, I gave her a weak smile, clocked out, went 🏡 and called HR.... and reported it, they began an investigation and later told me they concluded the investigation and found no wrong doing. I said WHAT?! I gave you guys the exact time and date that this incident took place, all you had to do is LISTEN on the camera, they said, "well ma'am we dont have any AUDIO".... It's basically "he say, she say" .... So, after hearing this I'm upset and feeling played! on top of that, I still gotta work on a daily basis with these mofo's that done showed me what they REALLY think of me as a person! so my energy is no longer super up beat and sha-na-na-ish I guess🙄🤭 NOW... I'm reserved and quiet, but professional and I do my job. But after that incident my hours also got cut from 26 hours a week to like 8 hours.... And that was the general managers way of retaliating against me for reporting them....
So cutting my hours is there way of trying to get me to quit! So I lawyered tf up! And I'm still fighting it .... Long story long lol.... I refused to stay quiet on the issue I guess it doesn't quiet fall under a follower or bandwagoner lol maybe follower a bit? whatever.... If you dont stand for something you'll fall for anything.... I guess the lesson is don't be afraid to speak up.... Thanks for letting me share sis (needed that😌🤦🏿♀️)
