Lyrics:
Now you're here, like you've been before
And you know just what I need
It took some time for me to see that you give good love to me
Baby, so good
Take this heart of mine into your hands
You give good love to me
Never too much
Baby, you give good love

Me too!!!!
I'm here at 5:57am
We're right here with you ❤🎵
I'm here! :).
She didn’t just sing this song, she delivered it.
I remember this cut! Summer 1985!! I was 17 years old, working a summer job in Columbus, Ohio. A brand new silver BMW E325 was cruising down the street blasting this song!! And that's when I knew...Whitney Houston had a smash!!!
You can say what you want about Clive Davis, even though he should have cancelled that Grammy's Afterparty the night she died! The man is still a Genius!!
The album was certified diamond for shipments of 10 million units or more on March 16, 1999, and later 14× Platinum by the (RIAA) Recording Industry Association of America on January 27th, 2023!
With sales of over 25 million copies worldwide, Whitney Houston is one of the best-selling albums of all time!!
Rest In Peace, Whitney "Nitty" Houston!!

Don't care what no one says whitney Houston the best singer ever.
One of the greatest!
@Dean Sanders Why are you getting so upset over nothing? I have a right to watch what I like and I happened to really like Whitney. What you said was arguable, but she's great without a doubt.
Agreed but difference is I'll fight someone who says otherwise 😂😐
It’s just sad how she went out ! Fame can be stressful
I totally agree!!!!!
Whitney's best song and one of the best songs ever recorded. Few people appreciate the talent and the difficulty that is involved in this song and Whitney executes it with effortless class and flawless projection.
+Adam Grizzly The best thing about it is this was her rehearsal of the song. She was just testing out what she was gonna do, dynamically, and Kashif recorded her without her knowing. They kept it.
+TheLanard thank you for that info
Nya Assis You're very welcome.
+Adam Grizzly Yep, her heart was into it more I think. I know I could feel it more than any of her other songs...definitely the best Whitney Houston song.
I totally agree. She was most likely thinking of Jermaine Jackson, since they were dating at the time.
Whitney is the Michael Jordan of singing 💪🏾😁
You can tell Whitney was in a really good headspace when she recorded this song, just her facial expression of joy, when she smiles and her eyes squidge together like that, its a clear sign of happiness.

Word!@@dennishenry3319
Her voice was as high and beautiful as church glass. I was a teenager back in 1985 when this first hit, and I remember just sitting in stunned silence that this kind of talent was gracing pop radio. Her whole story breaks my heart...she should be with us today, still ruling our world. Things never should've gone for her like they did.
@@dennishenry3319 hi how are you?
Whitney also did her own back vocals.
I remember when she was a Seventeen model. I was shocked to see her singing in this video. Im like she sings too. Lol. Gorgeous and an amazing voice. She was so revolutionary. She broke so many records and barriers for Black women. Im so sad that her and her daughter are gone.
Steve just shut up
@Steve Seriously? Please think about what you say before you say it .
@Steve I don't know what your racist ass is talking about but Whitney looks very much like a black woman. And she broke quite few barriers. One was being on MTV. MTV did not play black artists when it first started out. First Michael Jackson broke that barrier and Whitney and Tina Turner were some of the only black women MTV would play. MTV didn't play videos by Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills and other black women. So yes Whitney broke down barriers for black women in the music business.

Anybody who remembers that era, the first few notes, that sound just sends you through an instant time warp. Real R&B that envelops you like a warm breeze; caresses your soul. From the instrumentation to (of course) Whitney's phenomenal vocals, this song is romance personified. Not sexual just a pure feeling.

Your opinion
Of all the '80s "divas" (Madonna, Janet, Cher, etc.), Whitney had the best voice. She could really sing. Great pitch and such clarity.
@paulsenforprez
How on earth can you put those three people in the same sentence with Whitney Houston? The names that could be beside Whitney Houston in terms of an out-of-this-world voice from the 80s are Karen Carpenter and Annie Lennox, and in the 90s Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.

Yes Andy She had a beautiful voice and her music always gets you in your feelings. There will never be another Whitney.
@@loveinautumn3978 Andy S is wrong. She had no equal in America. There are plenty of foreign singers from the 80s and 90s with powerhouse vocals who have become legends in their respective countries. There will never be another Whitney, or Mariah, or Celine but in the phillipines for example there will also never be another Regine Valesquez ie Queen Regine, Asias Songbird. She has shaped the whole filipino music industry and is powerhouse vocal in her own right. You wont see female singers with big voices in the philipines trying to imitate whitney or Mariah like they do in the Western world, they imitate Regine. Brian Mcknight sang with Regine and said that she was one of the greatest singers he had ever heard, and put her in the same league as Mariah. If your black and heard her youd probably say she has no soul, but thats becausecshes mot a soul singer. Whitney is Gospel. Mariah is R&B, Regine is filipino ballad singer
