Dan is good and can be funny with stuff that peaks his interest. If it doesn't he just goofs off. Which is one of the reasons why, I think, Giantbomb d&d tanked hard and never continued.
To think that there are people who prefered the bombcast to this, or even worse prefer the today's bombcast to this... GBE with this group was the best thing on the internet.
I'm convinced that Jeremiah is the real one and Dan is just a character he plays.
