Lots of people have seemed to forgotten about the importance of cover art. Not only does it set the tone before the music even starts, but it enhances the listening experience just by being there. In particular, I love cover art like this because it reminds me of old fantasy RPG art. Music and visual art like this gives me a slight, sometimes overtly nostalgic feel, which can sometimes easily cross over into a sort of liminal space vibe. Overall, I love this, man. You got yourself a new subscriber and listener.
Very true, well said! And I'd like to add that great album art can't help bad music. I grew up in the 80s and a lot of albums had great fantasy art, but then when you listened to the music, it was like... country music??? It was surprisingly often that I wondered why the music didn't sound like the album art!
@@FiggsNeughton Oh, I always get so aggravated by that. The first things we notice are the art and the title, so if it's not going to be indicative of the sound, it just ends up feeling like clickbait. Also, I grew up in the early 2000's (born in 96), so music like this not only gives me fuel to come up with creative fantasy stories, but it also reminds me a lot of the old days of Everquest (if anyone still remembers that). It just has a very pleasant, very specific feel to it that I can't really describe without abstraction. Just love it.

I'm surprised there isn't more genuinely good dungeon synth around. This really scratches that "I'm 10, playing Warlords Battlecry at 2 AM when I should be sleeping" itch. Seriously good stuff.
I played warlords battlecry 2. Really made me feel some kinda way. It had everything to be a perfect game except a story and balanced gameplay and sophisticated unit stats and abilities and tactics and a lot of other stuff.
Here before my eyes lay ruined, destroyed, a city - its roofs open to the sky, its fallen temples, its dislocated arches, its columns lying on the ground, from which one would still recognize the reliefs of Tuscan architecture. Further on, some remains of a gigantic aqueduct; here the high base of an Acropolis with the floating outline of a Parthenon; there are traces of the quay, as if an ancient port had once leaned against the shores of the ocean, and disappeared with its merchant ships and war galleys. Further still, long lines of sunken walls and wide deserted streets - a corrupt Pompeii escaped under the waters. Such was the spectacle that Captain Nemo presented to me! Where was I ? I must know at all costs. I tried to speak, but Captain Nemo stopped me with a gesture and, picking up a piece of chalk stone, walked up to a black basalt rock and traced the word: Atlantis🕊
Fantastic dungeon synth release. Always a fan of the more melodic, less distorted material. Also, glad to have found this on the artist's page rather than one of the dungeon synth compilation channels.
Realmwalker is my absolute favorite (Last one) it’s just pure feeling, I was finishing my fav book The alchemist with this songs and realmwalker at the end was perfect. Ty
Artwork looks like something that'd be on an 8 bit Nintendo cartridge. I love that look and this with the music brings a feeling of nostalgia I didn't know I needed. Thanks for that. 😌
Got this in the background while writing and building my TRPG world, currently working on a Lady of the Lake type deity and the music fits perfectly with the images in my head. Great stuff Atlantean Sword!
This is pretty awesome. Not sure what I was expecting, but this gives off some incredible dark fantasy vibes. It could also go with a grimy scifi adventure. Well done!
Quite the emotionally evocative thing you’ve done here. Like a bizarre mix of Mars Volta (Miranda That Ghost Just Isn’t Holy Anymore especially), Les Miserables (the melody on the second track), Akira Yamaoka, and your own little personal flourishes throughout. It’s perfect. Thank you.
I loved the album cover, was disappointed when I found out there were no vocals. I was looking for a summoning kinda vibe. Now, I'm just sitting here vibing like crazy. This is very fucking good man. You captured the aesthetic without sounding boring or aimless. The layering and phrasing is so good. Thank you.

Couldn’t agree more!!! Old school fantasy art creates an ambience in your mind…

You speak my language.
great game, sorely underrated.
There certainly is more genuinely good dungeon synth around in the modern era. It's a niche genre but it's still going strong since its last revival.

@@maseratidyce3587 3 is also really good but 2 has best campaign hands down

Ran an AD&D adventure from 1981 last night. This fits perfectly.
My man over here keeping it classy with the AD&D.
Details, sir?

Astonishing masterpiece that takes me to other realms
the cover art looks like an amazing NES game cartridge
Kinda like a Castlevania
vibe... ❤️🏰 🖤🏰❤️🏰🖤🏰❤️
The Armour of Solacesteel feels like how truly earning and finding the Armour of Solacesteel would feel. Thank you.
"Solacesteel" is such a Dwarf Fortress autogenerated name.
This rips hail, forever Atlantean Blood
Times Of High Adventure is sooooo good
Huzzah !
ahh! the medieval dungeon-ish sound of playing parallel 4th's. i love it

Loving the atmosphere of "Times of High Adventure" and "Realmwalker". Good stuff!
Love your Mesopotamia album, Ziggurath!
Thanks man!
Beautiful melancholic feel.
Conan inspired dungeon synth ? Sign me in !
like a NES game label💖
Great
Nice one
Really love this album.
Excellent work! By far my favorite dungeon synth album in a long while.
Wonderful is a true atlantean vibe thanks for this masterpiece 💎
This is some quality dungeon synth right here
This absolutely rules dude. So glad I found this
Amazing for Morrowind!
Amazing stuff. I like how the songs are tempered without losing any depth or variety. It's so easy to make dungeon synth garbled and unrelaxing.
I subscribed and I need more. If you post it they will come...
Realmwalker is my absolute favorite (Last one) it’s just pure feeling, I was finishing my fav book The alchemist with this songs and realmwalker at the end was perfect. Ty
Awaiting your next album with baited breath - such a talent, arguably one of my favourite artists in this genre.
This is REALLY good

Soothing and intense all at once. Love it
Now this is dungeon synth
legendary!
Good stuff
I will be using this as background music for a Spelljammer campaign in AD&D 2nd edition.
Never heard of “dungeon synth”. Must say I am pleasantly surprised.

brilliant
This is phenomenal...
This is excellent work! Thank you!
Love this. Love the dark evil synth sound. Much better than just stringy Skyrim bs like most of the mixes out there
"That's ruddy mysterious"
Very good. Perfect for a d&d session.
In Diablo 2 there was a sword called "The Atlantean" it was a gold item
So glad i stumbled upon this. I've had it on repeat for days. Thanks so much for creating this masterpiece.
looking forward to more

Absolutely loving this masterpiece! Thank you!

Using this for my next DND campaign on god 💯💯
Hyperborea'an tunes for sure
Awesome
that first track
Realm Walker would be a dope band name. Atlantean Sword is cool too. Wonder if the Atlanteans looked like the Greeks.
I also like your PFP!
Stunning work!
