6:42 “Early stage startups should hire folks who can roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, and who have a builder mentality vs. Someone who is used to a little bit more structure and processes, folks who can navigate ambiguity”. The question is where to find these people. Most people can’t navigate clear processes and have trouble retaining information. The few that have the ability to navigate ambiguity either start their own businesses or not in the startups budget. Most small businesses don’t have access to capital and not a single financial institution will lend you money for Human Resources, one of the most unpredictable resources.

Can we please stop praising companies whose only value is based on funding rounds instead of actual business fundamentals.
