Do you have plans for this My 8yr old Autistic son would just go crazy over this. He loves elevators. Watches You Tube video of people riding them and talking about them. We have been looking for a way to make or buy one but have found nothing. any help would be so greatly appreciated
This build was actually an attempt to make the door latching system and drop key. The actual mechanism behind it is very disorganized and messy. If you would like to see a much simpler elevator using a similar door concept, check out the version four elevator. I also have an in depth look video explaining the mechanism.
And also the 2nd music you played when you were showing the wiring reminded me of portal 2 same with version 4

Very nice winding drum elevator! I want to try and build one of these. I will start simple but progress as I learn more about the mindstorm
