Can you do a top 5 luxury concealers video too?
Great idea!
Yes! That would be great, and sort by category like you did with your lipstick video!
Yes yes yes!!!
My #1 right now is Dior Forever Matte and I’m 49 and have a dry skin type.
I use the glow one because of my dry skin but you're the third person I've seen that likes the matte. Hmm
❤I love Dior forever matte, too! I'm 38 with dry/combo/sensitive/acne-prone skin, and I hate to feel foundation on my face, and the Dior is 💕 Feels like nothing on.
The only other base that I reach for is rose inc skin tint when I want to look better without dealing with a full face.
Off topic..... but we're dying to have a tour of your new place!
Love, love, LOVE your videos! 🤍
Soon! Almost done with my room haha!
Love that you only did 5. Too many and my brain gets lost😂 I'm interested in the CDP but that price is Crazy!!!❤
Haha yes you know if was hard for me to choose ;)
I absolutely love the Guerlain Terracotta foundation. I have rosacea and need fuller coverage. It blurs pores and covers redness without looking heavy. It's also great for my dry skin. I might need to try the Chantecaille future skin foundation next!
Thanks for sharing!!
My favorite are the Chantecaille future skin (esp for the office where the air is dry) and the Armani Luminous Silk for special occasions (skin looks flawless in photos with this one).
I’m probably in the minority here, the Chantecaille foundation does not work on my skin at all. I tired their sample for weeks with no luck. I have normal skin, no issues or acne just normal lines and pores I’m in my 30s. This foundation has settled into fine lines that I didn’t even realize existed on my face. I really wish it worked on my skin because it didn’t make my skin oily and really loved the cooling effect it had upon contact. May be in another life haha.
Thank you for sharing your experience it's always good to hear feedback
You are not alone. I have a dry skin, and the foundation looks bad on my skin. It emphasizes all imperfections like wrinkles and pores Alabaster color looks very yellow on me.l have lots of Chantecaille products and not impressed with any of them. I think it is very overhyped brand. That is my opinion only😊
My combination skin doesn't like it either. It never sat well on my skin. Also, all their tones lean a bit too cool/rosy or yellow. Some of Chantecailles skincare irritated me to an extent, that I used up the rest and not buying anything Chantecaille anymore. I have an eyeliner left and a lip chic and the latter has such a strong scent, that I will not purchase anymore.
@@sanellaaletovic1303 same, I tired two of their face masks and got rosacea. Had to get prescription medication from my dermatologist to treat it. I have never had skin issues before until I used their skincare. My derm said it must have been because of the fragrance and some natural oils and ingredients they use in their products. I have since stopped using them. I love their lip veils, however there are cheaper alternatives on the market.
My top are La Mer and Givenchy Prisme Libre Glow❤❤❤
I love the givenchy as well
I was so surprised to hear you say Pat Mc Garth… just because no one speaks about it… perfect skin tone match and the foundation just looks like perfected me… Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Tint is also a staple… Le Teint Ultra Chanel foundation is my favourite full coverage thus far… thank you for sharing your list! Very interested in the Chantecaille!
Yes exactly! The shade range is great and it never fails
Thank you Sofia❤
Nice!
Hi Sofia ! I would love if you can test the new Tom Ford architecture soft matte foundation and tell us how it compares to the Prada according to you (there is too much alcohol in the Prada foundation for my sensitive skin) because I trust your recommendations the most. ☺️
Great suggestion. I need to find it in store cause I have not idea what shade I would be
Love the Prada foundation ❤
I love your background! Beautiful! Most beauty CZcamsrs blur their background 😊
I love the Prada with the Dior Star Filter as well!! Absolute perfection. And I'll be a Chantecaille Future Skin lover forever. LOVED this video! I want to try the Cle De Peau so bad!
Awesome video, lovvvvved this! Thank you so much!! For winter/dry skin, I love the Chanel Sublimage and the Chantecaille Future Skin. For summer/humid weather, I love the Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer for everyday and the Valentino when I need a flawless look. Well, as “flawless” as can be 😂 I’m dying to try that Prada foundation as soon as we get here! Have you tried the new Tom Ford? I heard it’s pricy $$ but incredible. Oh and thanks for reminding us how these foundations look on your skin, super helpful! I’m sure it takes more time, but we appreciate it :)
Loving your background ❤ Thanks for this video 😊
Yay! Thank you!
I am still watching but yay i have future skin and i absolutely love it. I live in a state where winters are extremely rough and this one survived the winter and even healed my eczema
The Chanel Water Tint was a game changer for me. I just got the No 1 de Chanel to try something with more coverage. Now I’m curious about the Chantecaille. Before Chanel I used the La Mer Skintint for years.
Looove the Chanel water fresh blushes so very pretty and flush from within look 😍
The best!
Absolutely love the Pat McGrath foundation. It’s amazing. I used to use only Chanel or Armani, until i tried this one. It’s now my very favorite-perfect for mature skin.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I love the Chantecaille foundation! I always come to your videos for what is best to try :)
Aw so glad!! 😇
I love your videos about foundations, Sofia! ❤ I kind of like collecting them, even if I know it's not a very clever thing to do (they expire)... 🙄 I don't have the Cle De Peau and the Prada, but I've recently bought the new Very Valentino foundation and I LOVE it 🤩 I'm also obsessed with luxury synthetic makeup brushes and Rae Morris is going to launch such a WONDERFUL limited edition travel set... 😭😱 It's literally the cutest one I have ever seen 😍
I love the Prada, it’s my holy grail, you’re so right that it’s like a filter in real life☺️ and I love the water fresh tint too for summer. Great video Sofia
Yay same faves!
I really like the Nars tinted moisturizer with SPF 30. I try others, but always have this as part of my rotation. It's a reliable one that goes on easily and gives medium coverage (IMO) for a tinted moisturizer. Good color range too.
Well, we’ve got one of five in common! I have to admit that the La Mer is my HG but I love both Dior Forever finishes and the Chantecaille.
I already have the Chanel in the Prada. Love them! Now I'm just gonna have to get my hands-on the cle de peau beaute! Love your channel.!
My two favorite foundations are the Prada and the Chantecaille gel. What funny is that I have oily skin and you have dry skin and they both work for both of us! THAT is the sign of a special foundation! I need to try the Chanel Water Fresh next!!
Hey @LisaF_ ! Do you find that the Chantecaille sets down well enough that if you touch your face, it won't lift off? In someone else's video, it looked a little finicky in that respect, so I've not ventured to try it. I hate touching my face, but sometimes it's unavoidable when allergies strike and I have to blow my nose. I'd also be curious your thoughts too, Sofia. :)
@@das_ein Because of my oily skin, I always use a primer in my t-zone (Danessa Myricks Balm Powder) and I always set foundations with powder. I have not found the Chantecaille Gel foundation to come off when I touch my face. I think it wears really nicely.
@@LisaF_ TYSM! 🤓💖🙏🏽 I’ll definitely try it then
I have oily dehydrated skin and this sits perfectly all day long.. of course I need to blot with any foundation after some time but this hold on the longest I think.. of course because of my shine I always use setting powder
Love that Lisa!
I like chantecaille, bobbi brown and armani. I like glowy healthy looks.
CdP cushion and Armani LSF are my all time favorites. I like the Chanel water tint too.
I love Giorgio Armani luminous silk!
This was fun to watch. What I love about you is that you are consummately HAPPY. 😁
😊 thank you
My favorite foundations are Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Foundation, Prada, Suqqu Cream Foundation, Shiseido Syncro Skin Self-Refreshing, Armani Luminous Silk. They all work very well for my skin. I have (dehydrated) oily skin. I often use powder on top (Wayne Goss loose powder).
I want to try Chantecaille next. I am using Suqqu and I have backups. The CdP seems like it would be great for me as well. I have the Prada and I usually mix WA serum drops in it to give it a little glow. Loved this video.
Thank you Sofia.
Welcome!
My favorite worth the money foundation is Cle de Peau radiant fluid foundation natural.
I bought the Chantecaille foundation last summer from your recommendation and wow it's incredible! I own (too) many foundations and I don't wear makeup every day but I've used about 75% of the Chantecaille in 9 months which shows how much I love it. It's so fuss-free and I can really rely on it to look great every time, it's the only foundation in my collection I can say that about!
I am so glad!!
I’m 67 and I love this light weight Future Skin formula from Chantecaille. Also have LaMer, Chanel No 1, Guerlain Terra Cotta, and Sisley.
My top 3 foundations Tom ford shade and illuminate, chanel water tint and chantecaille future skin
14:52 wow, you look amazing!
Thanks!
Dior Natural nude, chanel water fresh or armani luminous silk for me 😊
I have been waiting for this video! I have the Prada foundation and I think the best way to apply it is with a sponge which helps it set down faster and gives a smoother finish. I have the Chantecaille one too but I always seen to forget about it since it doesnt fit in my foundation storage space. 😂 my top five are : NARS Light Reflecting ,Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate , Haus Labs , CT Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Prada but I’m getting the cle de peau one you recommended !
Applying with a sponge is a great suggestion for that foundation. I should try that out this week
Hi Sofia. I agree with the Prada. Love it. I recently bought the Chanel Sublimage Le reintegration Radiance cream foundation. I thought it might be thick or heavy. I was so wrong. It is amazing. Med to full coverage. The brush that comes with it worked pretty well. I’ve used it four times and I love it for my dry ish skin. I bought the Chanel primer also. Looks beautiful with that under. It you don’t have this one. Definitely go get it. Your mom will love it also. My instant holly grail. Xo ✨💖💄👄✨
Thanks for the rec!
I love Prada foundation. The best!
Same!!! ❤❤❤
Hi Sofia, thank you for your video, my favourite foundation for face, Tom Ford, La Mer, Cle de peau, Sisley. Have a nice day.
Thanks for sharing!!
Which Sisley do you like?
I love love the Chantecaille and the Chanel water tint, I also love the Tom ford one in a stick and the Guerlain terracota foundation. And as a back up the Lancôme and Estes Lauren 😉
The Tom Ford stick is really nice. I bought it on clearance for a steal.
I know I was going to include the Tom ford stick but unfortunately it's sold out everywhere! I am not sure if it's gone so I was too afraid to recommend
My favorite foundation is TF Traceless foundation. I know it was reformulated and renamed into Architecture, but I still use the old one. It looks incredible after putting it on and brilliant after 8 hours wear. It doesn't emphasize dry patches, the thin layer covers all my redness and acne spots and in the end of the day the skin looks luminous and fresh. I have the same Cle de Peau as yours and La Mer foundations, but they don't look so good after 8 hours and in general look worse on my skin. The only trouble with the TF foundation is the current price 🤯
PatMacGrath foundation is the best for me, and I really like the Prada, I have combination skin, more on the oily side and live in a very hot and humid climate.
Thanks for sharing with us!
the Chantecaille is the only foundation that makes my skin look like I want it to. I am not in love with the glass jar which may sound weird because it does make luxurious but getting my brushes in there can be a pain. The product makes it worth it though
I am sighing so much right now because I have the more expensive cle de peau one (the one for $270!!!!) and as much as I love the formula, the shades are so terrible for medium tones. I am dying to try the one you feature but I already know it will just look ridiculous shade wise on me. By the way I love the Prada, Chanel and chantecaille ones you feature, so I was surprised not to see the Loubutin and the Chanel no1 in your list. Those are my favorites together with the Prada one.
Great video! I have yet to try the Chantecaille, though it is on my list. I am Loving the Suqqu Cream Foundation, Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Natural, Valentino, Llisa Eldridge Seamless Skin and Giorgio Armani Lluminous Silk. There are a couple of others, but I´ll stay with 5. xx
The Suqqu cream foundation would be in this list but I was sad when they reformulated it. It kind of knocked it down a few notches :(
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I’m still using back ups of the old formulation! That’s sad to hear as it’s so lovely.
Now, Cle de Peau IS worth the money! I’ve been using the tube version for years. Love the tube handy to toss in the 👛
CDP and La Praire are unbeatable. Incredible foundations.
So good! I need to try La Prairie thank you for the rec
Hi Sofia! I think Pat McGrath foundation is awesome. I also use shade 6. I have noticed that we use same shades, I’m also fair to light. My other favourites are Haus Labs and CT Beautiful skin. I am 65.
I love the Haus labs too!
Love your channel! I love Haus Labs, Sisley , Chanel Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint, Prada, Gee ...
.
Chantecaille packaging terrible given price! Cle de Peau..too expensive and I like Luxury- Sisley is close but works great for me! I love Stick foundations too😂😂😂!
Also Cle de Peau packaging is poor for the price! I will try Pat Mc next!!🎉🎉🎉😂
Thanks for sharing Mary!
Love this list!! I’m most curious to try the Chantecaille and Cle de Peau foundations 😍. You mentioned that your Mom has been using the Cle de Peau pretty consistently for the past year, and I’m wondering if she’s gone through more than one tube over the year? ❤ thanks for your great reviews and content, as always!!
I’m wondering the same!
Nope! She is still using it! Both of us haven not been able to finish it up
🙌🙌 Love that! Thank you so much for letting me know. *into cart immediately* 🥰💕
Top current
- nars light reflecting
- Chanel no1
- Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin
- chantecaille future skin
-PML
On my list to try
- CDP
- Prada
- LE
How do the water fresh tint and future skin do in hot and humid climates?
Please do this for every single category please
I would love to!
I’m mature and have some texture around the nose area. I noticed the Chantecaille foundation kind of highlighted that, which was disappointing due to the price. However, I had a small sized gel primer by Milk and let me tell you those two pair well! Just mentioning this in case anyone else needs a primer for the Chantecaille foundation (hope I spelled those correctly). This Milk primer is also reasonably priced.
However, my favorite is Guerlain terracotta teint. That one is amazing!
Thanks for sharing!!
I’ll have to try Cle de Peau. I have all the others and agree except for Pat McGrath. I did not like that one. Armani Luminous Silk is my all time favorite.
Hi Sofia,
I was thinking you might change your mind with posting this video. But here you are! 🥳🥳🥳 My favourite foundations are:
-Chantecaille Future Skin foundation (I found about this one because of you 💕)
-Chanel Le Beiges foundation healthy glow
-Chanel Sublimage L’essence de Teint
I am very tempted to try Cle de Peau Radiant Cream foundation but the only option is to buy online 😞. Because in Chantecaille I have Alabaster I might take the risk and get the same shade like you have.
I still waiting for the video with ranking the Hermes eyeshadows. 😁
Please make a video with the best concealer for dry skin under eyes. 🙂
Thanks for sharing!💕
Great favorites and suggestions! I also love the Chanel foundations
I hope I’m wrong about this, but thought I would pass this on for what it’s worth. I love Chantecaille and Armani, but was going to try the Cle de Peau based on your recommendation ( and your mom’s). A couple of places I checked had very limited color choices, and they were all darker than I thought I could use. It looked like they came out with a new tint, and I was wondering if they were phasing out your Holy Grail. I figure you have good enough connections to get some answers! Love all your videos, and second the idea about concealers.
Yes I’m curious if they’re reformulating their foundations because I found the same thing with lack of shades in most of their classic foundations. They just reformulated their pressed powder and eyeshadows, so maybe foundation is next? 🤷🏼♀️
Here in Europe it is fully available, just checked some retailers and they had all colours in stock
Nooo I hope it's not leaving!
I love the Chanel water fresh. I want to try Cle De Peau but wondering- does it dry down or stay tacky/wet?
It's not tacky or wet :)
My absolute HG foundation is Louboutin fluide foundation. That stuff can do no wrong. Second choice is Sisley phyto-teint perfection. I used to love the Cel De Peau, but it breaks up horribly after a couple of hours. I am 48 with normal skin
I should try some stuff from Sisley!
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Their stuff is very good quality, but not cheap
Sophia, I also enjoyed the Chantecaille foundation but the color was way off for me. They need a cool leaning olive like LE has in her skin tint...
True!
My top 3 I think are the chantecaille future skin, the prada and the sisley phyto eclat. The LE tint does not fully count into my foundation category but is also a favourite. I also really like the Cle de peau radiant (both versions, I usually mix them together), but it is not my top 3 I think (so hard to rate this)… does anyone know how those compare to the cream version? I like the travel friendliness
I always wanted to try the Pat McGrath but I think I need to use up some other before.. somehow the chanel water tint does not speak to me even though I always wonder if I’m missing out on something 😂
The Cle de Peau cream foundation is just as beautiful as the radiant one but I do like the ease of use and the wear of the cream version better. It's not as buildable as the liquid one but it stays more hydrated on my skin personally :)
I get quite shiny myself so am a bit cautious to try given the price point.. but the travel friendliness is really intriguing..
My Top 5: Prada Reveal, Cle de Peau Radiant Matte, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Chanel Sublimage L'Essence de Teint, and the Chanel Complexion Touch (I use this as foundation, slightly more pigmented than the Waterfresh Tint.) 😊❤ I am 47 with Combination Oily Skin and live in a Moderate Climate (40's to 70's) on the Coast. Always moisture in the air here.
I love the ones you’ve listed that I have tried. Which of these is the most transfer proof for you? I have to wear a mask every day for work and I’m on the hunt for the most transfer proof luxury foundation
@@Olivia-bl8ez I sometimes wear masks for work because I do in-hospital functional assessments for Senior & Disability Long Term Care Services. I don't see much transfer with the Prada Reveal, Cle de Peau Radiant Matte foundations. I think both wear absolutely beautifully throughout the day. Hope this is helpful!! 💕🌺💕
@@sarahogren3697 thank you!!
Hello- I was so excited to try the Chanel Les Beiges water fresh tint but when I asked the Chanel sales associate- she corrected me that it is not made from any serums, just mainly water, as in the name 😅I decided not to purchase until you could clarify if you had made a mistake-claim on their product?
Does the Prada foundation have fragrance in it? I stick with MAC because it doesn’t have fragrance in it. I do have the Chantecaille one and I like it.
Yes :( I believe it does
Uh oh, I think they are discontinuing the Clé De Peau Radiant Cream Foundation. Almost all the shades are unavailable on the Cle De Peau website unless you have a bigger reach than I imagined.
OMG I hope not. Maybe I can ask them
Hi dear! Whats your current best concealer?😊
Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin concealer!
It’s harder for me, being 63, but. I’m your mom’s type. 😂😂😂😂do they all work for her ?? I know (Chantecaille) I need to shop smart. I do trust your opinion for reals tho Love this video.
He faves are the Chantecaille and the Cle de Peau. I don't think I would give her the Prada one. I should show her the Chanel because I think she would like it
Hi Sofia! Have you tried powder foundations? Many luxury brands have them. I have never tried and I wonder, what kind of skin it's suitable for, how long it stays, what's the coverage, how to apply it...
I only have the Chanel one that I will test this summer. I usually don't buy them because my skin is so dry
Throwing in a vote for the classic Koh Gen Do Maifanshi - more of a medium but buildable satin finish that makes my skin look natural. For reference, I'm late 40's with a medium skintone, normal skin type, and I only use powder on my larger pore areas. The color match is not too yellow, not too peach, not too olive, just perfect! It sorta reminds me of the PMG in finish, I think my color match is just a touch better. Thanks Sofia!
In my opinion Chantecille does not belong. Barely any coverage and the lightest was a shade too dark for me and I’m not even the lightest on the Kilpatrick Scale. Greasy and disappears. I threw mine away. Save your 💴
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Lisa!
🖤
So which do you prefer? Clè de Peau? Or Chantecaille? 😮
They are different foundations
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I think I'm going to try the Chantecaille based on your numerous reviews! I'm just going to go in store to swatch it just to make sure I've got the right colour.
I currently use the YSL re-formulated All Hours foundation and love it. I tried Guerlain's newTerracotta Le Teint and while it was beautiful for the first week or so, it began to dry out my face horribly.
So I'm super stoked to try a very hydrating foundation that will give me a beautiful glow and not dry me out. Thanks Sofia! 🌸
Isn’t that strange because the Pat McGrath foundation was the worst one I ever tried. I actually threw it out. Just goes to show how different we all are.
Thanks for the feedback!
