      The snatch land rovers are coffins on wheels. Hated going on patrol in the fucking things in iraq & afghan before we got the mastiffs. Light skinned armour no protection from ak rounds what so ever. First time in a mastiff was like being back inside mums womb all nice & safe. Also the vikings were tin cans aswell seen them completly destroyed with ied's

    Hey Paul, these are all really cool, but if someone was a serious buyer like me, I've checked it's CRAZY EXPENSIVE to have these shipped to the U.S. They charge per vehicle, weight, and size, The only way to have them shipped is well...on a Ship, it takes months to arrange shipment, then when they arrive, lets say the Port of Houston they unload them and your on your own, how do you get them to your business to resale them? You have to have them shipped again on Transports, Crazy Expensive, once again, so its a shame they make it so hard to buy and ship these, their loss for sure...They hardly can sell any of these vehicles, at all most of them will be scrapped, if it was easier to ship them they would sell lots of them.

    • @PaulDonovan
      @PaulDonovan  Před rokem

      Over the years I bought many from them and shipped to the States. OK... this was 20 years ago when shipping was a lot cheaper. Landrovers and Trucks to Henderson, NV and Landrovers, trucks and an Armoured car to Chico, CA... plus more recently a CVRT Sabre to Canada (Container) Regards Paul cvrt Sabre seen here... czcams.com/video/wNZ1Jc1OHcs/video.html

    Cheap price but when you add in the shipping container cost for getting across the Atlantic and then shipping across the United States that's way too much what I need to ship them over here and then sell them but the price will go up

    The British government can maintain and modernize these vehicles and various military equipment ... It can also make adjustments to some of the dual use mechanisms (civil and military) and use them materially by using them effectively and morally by donating them to some poor countries in the Association of English Speaking Countries. ..

    • @attaat
      @attaat Před 5 lety

      If they could do that cost effectively then they would, after all, our military is hard pressed for kit thanks to a series of government cut backs and back stabbings. As for donating them to poor countries, well, a nice thought but why nor sell them and use the monies raised to buy more kit to equip our own armed forces?

    Why cant the redundant fire trux and cannons be sent to Australia?

    • @PaulDonovan
      @PaulDonovan  Před 4 lety +2

      I guess.... they are worn out.... training would be required to use them as they are different to aussie ones.. spare parts would be a problem... would there be enough crew to operate them... etc..! Does seem like an obvious thing to do... but would probably cause more problems than it solved. here are some fire service vehicles from several auctions over the last few years. czcams.com/video/85E5gXKeNQo/video.html regards Paul
