      A brand new $27,000 won't haul 10k lbs gvwr, doesn't come factory with cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows, touch screen radio, 360 backup camera, or a 10 speed auto.
      You can still buy very very nice low miles cpo base model f250 single cabs for cheap, and your dealer should search gods creation for one and ship it to their dealership if you pay for it

      Nothing against the capability of the truck! Our customers generally go XLT and higher for their work trucks, so it’s more of a comfort difference. This truck will probably “out work” most of our customer trucks ten fold during its lifetime.

      @79dent Před 8 měsíci

      @blksn8k the 6.8 engine is 12 lbs lighter then the 7.3, BUT they use different 10 speeds. The 6.8 uses the 10R100 which is also used behind the 5.0 coyote and 3.5 evoboost which makes me hope they are preparing to put it in the F150 lineup. I'd scoop a 2wd 6.8 10 speed f150 in a heartbeat. The 7.3 uses the 10R140. There is a 70 lb difference I believe between the 2 transmissions which would put the margin at 82 lbs. Don't hold me on the transmission weights though. I could be wrong but ik they are different.

    Personally, I think its a shame that Ford punishes people buying an XL model by forcing them to get a 6.8L V8 instead of the 7.3. You want advice? Stop appealing to yuppies that "want a big truck" and start building out legitimate trucks for working people. Make the 7.3L V8 standard with the 10 speed transmission. Keep manual roll down windows, vinyl flooring, and low tech features. Secondly, it is absolutely abhorrent that these trucks have surged to the cost that they have.

    • @josephg41
      @josephg41 Před 7 měsíci

      Options are king. Get the 7.3 if you want it, but keep it cheaper by offering the 6.8 for everyone else. This keeps base cost down, not everyone needs the 7.3l. Geez it's just what auto manufacturers have been doing since the 40s
