The amazing Ronnie Spector!
My fave Ronettes song
I have always loved this song and used to cover it in one of my old bands. It is an iconic example of the "Wall Of Sound" created by producer Phil Spector, who was as eccentric as he was talented. He actually married Ronnie, the lead singer here (the other two women are her cousins) and basically kept her from her career for years. He was sent to prison for murder back in 2007 after he shot a female guest at his house "accidentally." He died in 2021. Ronnie died in 2021. She is revered for her talent and early 1960s image. And as awful as Phil Spector was as a person, The Wall Of Sound remains an important part of 1960s music history. Love your eye make-up! BTW, since you are doing a woman's music appreciation month, please consider reacting to Fanny, the very first all-female rock band signed to a major label (1971) and one of their songs...maybe "Hey Bulldog"...here is the link: czcams.com/video/Pdwzko9DZ0s/video.html&start_radio=1
Phil Spector's Wall of Sound background. The force behind the Righteous Brothers, Ike and Tina and so many other great hits of that era.
"Walking in the Rain" and "Do I Love You" are two more big hits by the Ronettes.
Love the Ronettes âŠ.. enjoyed your reaction!
good to see you girl.. keep up the good vibes
When I saw "Baby I Love You" pop up on my Lizzie notifications, I couldn't click on it fast enough because not only is it my favorite Ronettes song, but it's also my favorite Ronnie vocals. Her vibrato on this hit is amazing, as is the classic unmistakable Phil Spector audio-engineered "Wall of Sound"! So glad you enjoyed it Lizzie -- please consider doing a Karen Carpenter reaction as part of your Women's Music Appreciation Month. đ€
Enjoyable classic treasure that still sounds great.
Eddie Money..! 'Take me home tonight' would be Fun..! Your Lizzie Fan here..!
Hi Lizzie, hope you are doing well. I grew up listening to these lovely ladies.

Awesome reaction to this great song and it's cool that you listen to Christmas music throughout the year. So do I. Here's your next reaction! đđâ€ïž
Yes the 60s were the greatest rock and roll of all time, and how could you not like Christmas music all the time I like it too..
Lizzie....One of the most popular girl groups in the 60s. Three beautiful ladies. So many excellent girl groups back then besides the Ronettes. The Shirelles, The Chifons, The Shang-Ri-Las, The Angels, The Toys, Martha and The Vandellas, The Chantels. What a time for great listening.
Love all your reactions. â€
1:18 'Oooooo...'
1:57 'Aw, now!!'

Thank you for your work.
You know you are fine. Stop playin.
Wonderful song from my childhoodđ
First, this song is so underrated that it's a crime! And yes, that voice... The wavering of her voice in this song is really profound and it adds so much to her already unique sound. Great reaction!
That isn't a unique sound, she's coping Brenda Lee and Connie Francis.
Dorothy Moore's Misty Blue pls đ¶đ” Good to see your smiling face again đ
RENE &ANGELA YOUR SMILE YOU DONT HAVE TO CRY TRY THAT EYES ARE ONE OF A KIND COOL ONLY ONE LIZZIE :)
The sound that you heard is very distinct. Its called the 'Wall of Sound" created by Producer Phil Spector who said it was created simply through a "maximum of noise and distortion using an array of orchestral instruments". It can easily be heard on all songs Spector had produced.
Believe it or not, six years later (1969) Canadian singer Andy Kim took this same song and had a bigger hit than The Ronnettes as it went to Number 9 on the Billboard charts as opposed to the Ronnettes reaching No. 24 in 1963.

I love this music! When I was a teenager I wanted to be Ronnie. Not easy for an ordinary white girl.đ

You keep changing you look, but it's your big beautiful eyes that shine through. You're doing great music from the eras of the past that for beat anything crap going on today with autotune and computer generated instruments. Real musicians on these records were known as the "Wrecking Crew." And the orchestras...they all had work, now...nope, not much.
Please check out Lucy Thomas out of England. She has videos from age 14 covering all the great diva songs. She is twenty as of February and has five albums out and soon to appear in a broadway type show in England. I appreciate your honesty with your followers.
Please react to lovers concerto by the toys
production by the sanity-impaired phil spector.
