What I always do is call the apartment first, but I'll start doing that too! Sounds like both will save us lots of effort
The problem with this is you HAVE to reject them formally, meaning you can't check their documents afterwards to see if they're legit.

I have an idea Ryan. Basically you find a doppelgänger that’s going home to a wife/husband. Then let them in purposely and then after dealing with a couple more people you call their number and see what happens.

My idea is that you can call the cell phone, if it’s real it will ring, but the Doppelgänger might also steal it, so if it’s stolen, flecks of blood will appear on the phone and the ringtone will be garbled, also you will have to write notes about what’s wrong, and the d.d.d will evaluate if they need to detain or kill

This might be a stupid theory but maybe this job is a setup by the doppelgangers to learn how to be more human. They progressively become harder because they keep learning by their mistakes. We dont see the d.d.d. protocol when cleaning up so I believe it would be possible.

There is a logical gap in the games structure.
The residents of the apartment self-evidently have to leave. There is a chance for perfect doppelgangers to appear while the resident is away. This means in a real-world setting there is a chance for while the apartment having 0 people inside of it, the first 'person' to walk up could be a doppelganger with their perfect appearance, paperwork, on the correct day, to the correct apartment AND with no one inside of the apartment to confirm they are not there/to confirm they are gone.
This means in the game rules itself you can do everything correctly and still let in a doppelganger. This is a potential oversight on the game developers' part.
This could also be used to set up a different stage of the game another resident informs you that someone in the apartment is actually a doppelganger. Afterwards you need to logically uncover who the doppelganger is. As you let it more doppelgangers, they can start covering for each other making it exponentially more difficult to resolve.
The game could be programmed to not allow a perfect doppelgänger of someone who is not at home.

@@dioritanosatrionugroho6212I’ve played the game, there are instances where no one is home or one person is home but the other is out, so I can’t call and confirm and the doppelgängers are perfect. There is nothing wrong with the appearance, it’s perfect, the files and IDs are good, the D.D.D logos are there, correct ID numbers and etc.
That’s where it gets tricky. So you have to pay attention what they say on the entry request.
So if the entry request says “I’m a residence of this building, my apartment is 01 on the second floor.” Instead of saying their occupation it could be a doppelgänger.
@@dioritanosatrionugroho6212 yeah, and maybe the roommate can give a reason or say something that hints at the person not supposed to come home/that makes the dopplegangers reason for entry wrong? e.g "my roommate's not here as theyre staying at their (parents/friends/siblings/etc) house tonight" or something
Oh more tips! Sometimes the D.D.D. stamp on their files are not present (oh you discovered that the hard way...). Their names can be misspelled. If it seems they look too perfect- sometimes something as small as a mole can give it away. For the riddle guy; he is for a trophy. Watch out for misspellings in the forms (name, under the reason and the floor number). Eyes can be tricky too- especially if it's they right eyes but a bit bigger lol. Anywhoo happy hunting..! There are some super crazy dopples out there 🤩

Extra tip, sometimes you check the ID against the person, but not against their photo in the files. So like they'll have a mole in person and also in the (fake)ID/entry request, so you say it checks out, but the photo in the files doesn't actually have any mole at all. Same with Afton's eyebrows. The dopple matched the photo in the fake ID/ER he showed you, but not his photo on file. also super funny you emphasized ROBUST eyebrows but the dopple's were 2000's thin lol
the margarette bubbles doppelganger had a misspelled name on the given documents, saying "margrette"
the calls change depending whether or not the person is there or not, If you've already let in the right person then the phone will change so you can automatically tell if they're a doppelganger. If you call and the person says they're there when theirs only one person in the apartment then you can automatically rule them as a doppelganger, or if the person speaking to you is the person in front of you it's the same. If you let in the right person then the person picking up the phone will say they're both there.

Some of the differences can be VERY subtle. For example, the doppelganger pretending to be the pilot had a mole near his chin that the real guy does NOT have. It's also always best to call the apartment to see if they're home, so I encourage you to keep doing that!
