The moment when the patient tells you how tremendous the improvement is after surgery is priceless, right ? In my office these moments always give me an extra heartbeat.
Thank you for the bonus video !

WOW,,, He is gracious. Two things occur to me. One is that he did not complain of pain with such significant stenosis of the cord. The other is that these types of interviews if correlated with images and surgical findings could be very instructive to surgeons and other care providers. And of course the absolute joy you must feel to be able to help someone so significantly.

Hopefully he is much better than before today. I’m looking at the same thing as he went through. Broke my neck and back in 93. I am a welder/ fabricator and it’s impossible to continue to the work I’ve been doing for almost 40 years

Hi Doc, this surgery was done 6 years ago. Any updates on his opll build up? Is it thickening?

I was born with cervical stenosis and have had 2 fusions and 1 decompression, now bedridden anticipating the 4th. I never understood why I don't know where my hands are and it's more than just that., I feel it contributes to my balance or lack thereof, rather. Last week, I was able to drive, now I am in bed just exhausted. Great video and thank you 🙏.

      Hello,
I am curious about how you are doing now? I will be having my 5 cervical surgery in the last 11 years soon, but the first involving the lamina. I'm a little nervous about this one, the others I was not. Not sure why I am feeling this way before this one. Sidenote- I still have the original shoulder pain that I started with 11 years ago, I'm hoping (again) that I'll get some relief this one.
      I hope you're dong better!

As a patient myself doing research on the subject, your patient has such a long OPLL, from the back seems to be the best option. I am wondering if the OPLL would get thicker as time goes by

What? It makes nonsense whatsoever that an H2 blocker could be used as treatment for OPLL.
