Mega Man II is an action-platform video game by Capcom for the Nintendo Game Boy. It is the second game in the handheld version of the Mega Man series after Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge. It is noteworthy for having been developed by a different company than the rest of the Mega Man titles on the Game Boy.
The game follows Mega Man as he pursues his arch enemy Dr. Wily, whose most recent ploy for world domination involves the theft of an experimental time machine. Mega Man confronts both Wily and a number of enemies from his past, including new and mysterious robot named Quint. Just like other Game Boy games in the series, Mega Man II marries the features of two consecutive Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) titles, in this case, Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3. In 2013, Mega Man II was made available on the Virtual Console of Japan's Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS. It was later released in the North American and PAL region eShops the following year.

seriously? the entire soundtrack? recorded and put out for free? damn. I missed this earlier somehow. Thanks for posting!
And there's much more than one soundtrack!
@@METPoland I enjoy the guitar music
Excellent cover of the soundtrack.
On a different note, as a kid playing this game, I always hated the final stage. You just fought Quint to get his mechanical pogo stick and you don’t even get to have any fun using it before the final boss.
I am amazed by how much talent you can fit into a gameboy track from years ago! Great job!
@Gordon Valentino shut up
It's good music goddammit
The game‘s OST is already awesome, it sounds better in the Metal cover version which says a lot because most alternate versions of the score lack the power rush climatic fight feel that the game’s original score provides. The only gripe I have is that MET did simplify the fast-and-awesome section of the boss music that sounds like computer powered fight robots powering up their weapons. I guess it’s very difficult to cover this portion of the score because it’s very fast. Besides that, this is a perfect cover version. I would listen to it on loop on Spotify over here in Europe if MET would get the chance to make this perfect music available there. Hey MET, you got fans! :-)
I am violently angry because of how unreasonably underrated these videos are... dude, with that talent of yours, you should be getting millions of views!
99😮00
Maybe if he would make this guitar playthrough of MM II (GB) available on Spotify, he would reach more fans. His cover of the fantastic and insanely underrated MM II (GB) OST should be heard on Spotify worldwide.
Excellent cover. You made MM II sound like it was supposed to sound, and better. Hope to see MM IV and V in the not too distant future. LOVE IT!!!! 😎🎸😎🎸😎🎸
Megaman V for GB has an original OST, it will be interesting to see it remade.
Yes!!!! And, I think it could arguably be one of the best soundtracks of the entire MM franchise. I just KNOW @MET would do it some serious justice.
@@whiteraven7777 good lord id love MMV remade that game slaps
YES!!!! Such an amazing game. Soundtrack is phenomenal.
When you mentioned IV you just wanted to hear “Big Boss,” “Wily Iron Golem” and “Wily Station,” didn’t you? Or did you just like the compilation of Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5’s boss selection in that game?
This could have easily been the best Gameboy MM soundtrack back in the day if the company Capcom hired to develop it hadn't messed up the instrumentation. Awesome job covering it.
I love how you snuck in the unused credits theme into the version that got used. You played it so seamlessly that I almost didn’t realize it. Great freaking job! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
This game has a dope soundtrack! Thanks for reworking it
You can´t imagine how much MegaMan Soundtrack means to me! And by cover all those songs you put my love on another level. You´re so awesome, thank you a lot! Keep on doing this great work!
29:51 And the most metal theme song of all time goes to a mini green guy on a pogo stick.
My soul needs a MM10 GP. So much talent poured into a gb game soundtrack. You're amazing!
Title screen on loop driving uber & boss selection screen when waiting for a fare.
Truly amazing work! Mega Man II is blessed to have people like you bringing out its best qualities.
favorite ost of the mm series!!!
amazing cover album
this version of the game i have a gigantic softspot for so this was a treat
great work!
Excellent work, maybe, just maybe we'll get Mega Man 10 next time
Congratulations, you're a prophet.
I love this!!! Thank you for doing this! As an 80's child, this honestly brings a huge smile to my face.
dude this took me back!! I love how you actually play right along with the timing of the gameplay, so cool. And you nailed every nuance and feeling in the music! Sounds super tight, well done.
You are fucking incredible man, really, love your amazing playing and videos!
Great to hear both renditions of the credits make it in!
Thanks for taking me back to my childhood with these AMAZING covers! Well done!
Holy shit. This album was already a masterwork only held back by its hardware. Bless your heart and soul my dude, this is the shit we need in this world
This game music is so meaningful to me, thanks you for making this
AMAZING BROOO, NICE GUITAAR!!! I LOVE IT (hi from Argentina)
Woah... that Metal Man cover, though. Thank you!
This is my favorite classic megaman soundtrack. And you covers are lovely. Thank you 💜
Stellar work as always man!!
Great as always MET!! keep up the good work!
Fantastic as always! Keep up the great work!
So great to put this level of effort into a video. Deserves way more likes
Needle Man nails it again, both in MM3 and this game!!!
excellent work as always & many thanks for these wonderful gp's
The end song always gets me
Man that ending theme's such an underappreciated banger
Greetings from Częstochowa! Great work, Master!
You continue to crank my childhood WELL PAST '11'!!
Thanks for giving Megaman the Metal he deserves!!!
I love it.... no words...
You did such a beautiful job with this... We gotta find a way to spread your music more.
My understanding of Rockman World II/Megan Man II's music is that (1) the code that converts notes to frequency has the incorrect pitch for more than a quarter of the notes, causing them to be played off-key, and (2) some of the sounds are played an entire octave above what qualifies as music in other Gameboy games. The original music is pretty grating for technical reasons, but the compositions are really interesting. I really liked how that main motif appears throughout, giving the whole a unified music story other games in the series don't really have.
Anyway, this is my long winded way of saying this was a great interpretation of these tracks, and great work seeing the beauty that is hidden in this messy game.
Nothing is off key, some ears might have difficulties with enjoying hard and high notes, while others love them. You can hear the notes from the game here in the rendition. MM II for Game Boy has my favorite Game Boy OST besides Link‘s Awakening. MM II‘s OST is kind of an 8 bit version or precursor of a style that you can hear in the music of the band Beast In Black (highly recommended): Hard, high, joyful, energetic, emotional, dramatic, addictive.
Incredible work, dude
Great cover and great mix !
Damn those hard sexy strums for Magnet Man so fine, so metallic
Wooooow
How amazing arrange!
I played this game when I was Child hood.
So missed !
Thank you !!
Excellent. now can we get a Cover of the Mega Man IV GB pretty PLEASE!!!!
A year later, I second this. ^_^
@@heathernicol3026 BRO can u imaging this mad lad playing the Final Boss Song of dat game?
HOLY FUCK, ABSOLUTE HYPENESS!!!!
Holy ****, as someone who grew up with this being their only gameboy game and loving the original tracks (even with the ear-bleeding pitch) the first few seconds alone of metal man's theme sounds amazing, why haven't i seen this before?? i need this on spotify
This...is...my...HEAVEN!!!
Thank you for making an amazing medley!
Your guitar is so splendid! I love MM2GB,too!
Even after returning to this video a year later I still find it awesome. Go @MET!
As soon as the Metal Man Stage Theme came on i instantly got goosebumps
I love ur intro MET.
Hahaha u r amazing doing this remixes, think it, maybe not a concert but it can be a stream with a guitar solo of ur songs
Sounds amazing.
That top and wood man❤
I loved the intro!
This is masterpiece needs more visits
WTF? 39K views in four years? This should have a hundred times that or more. This is amazing work, and does what was obviously a brilliant soundtrack (not so much on terrible tinny little hardware) proper justice.
My game Boy loves you for this video.
MAGNIFICENT!
Just when I think it's impossible, you keep getting better.
Best ch Megaman guitar cover👍👍👍
i love all your works, i Think the F-Zero soundtrack would suit perfect for your stuffs
Rockman is life.
Thanks for fixing the boss music! Nice channel you have here, you got a subscribe out of me. Keep it up!
great cover
Amazing.
3:44 BOSS THEME
So that's how Wiley finally met his demise. Mega shot him down with a rocket in space and he became a crater on earth.
Magnet Man and Air Man were the best ones. But the whole thing was epic.
Man! It is the best of all your works! And taht has a lot of merit taking into account that MM II GB has terrible sound problems!
wow he actually made this game's soundtrack good!
It always was, the way it was instrumented in the game wasn't.
The game’s song were always awesome, already in the original game. I listen to many kinds of music including Metal and always loved the songs. Other MM songs usually lack the excitement and passion that the Game Boy Mega Man II score provides to me.
Too cool.
@MET I love MM II’s OST since I played it in the early 90’s, I always thought that it would sound even better as a version that is Metal and features synths. Your cover is wonderful. It would be perfect if it included my favorite part of the boss music, the very fast dynamic part that is the culmination of the boss music that in the original OST sounds like fight roboters powering up. But awesome arrangement and sound and I would love to listen to more of your covers. Is there an overview over your music? Some of my most favorite OSTs are the Game Boy Game TMNT Fall Of The Foot Clan and the original Mortal Kombat (PC Floppy Disc). I would love a reply. :) Cheers
Y..You!!!!! Very GOOD!!!!! :)
Nobody is going to talk about how Megaman just disobeyed the first law of robotics???
Personally, I was sad that there were fewer arranges in Rockman World(GB Mega man) 2 and 5, but I found a suitable one for me. I look forward to Rockman World 5 arrange BGM.
I legitimately love the soundtrack to this game. It just sounded bad due to poor programming. But, the songs themselves are very good and absolutely have that je ne sais quoi befitting a Mega Man soundtrack. It always makes me happy when people show it some love like this.
esta increíble
Love that you were able to clean up that insane Metal Man track from this game. I always liked what they were trying to go for with the track but it's such a mess in the game. Awesome stuff, thank you for this!
Oh yeah, I forgot how awesome the title theme was...
It would've been cool if, during the Airman fight, he'd play "I Can't Defeat Airman."
NOT A SINGLE DISLIKE AMAZING!!!
This sounds WAAAAAAAAAY better than the original soundtrack.
amazing work !! are there tabs for sale ??
Can’t wait for ANY of X3, X6, 10, or Zero 3!
He's actually already done X3,but he delisted it,it can be found on MegaMan Fandom wiki or something like that
@@juliopena9235 He has announced he's remaking X3. I'll give you a hint...
He's working on it. Just give him time. He's been busy with other music, life, and trying to recover from a difficult situation that occurred somewhere in May or June. He might be back around in a month or 2. No promises though.
Please do Megaman V (GB) also!
Awesome, is there a remixed standalone version for the main menu theme?
It's the same song used in the space Wily stages, so you can hear it loop a few times there.
@MET Put your MM II (GB) music on Spotify, please! 🎸 It’s one of my very most favorite OSTs! 🎧
Of course he uses Metal Man weapon for everything. Coz metal.
Could I reference this video and your channel in a video review of this game? Specifically "The soundtrack isn't bad but it sounds like lullaby renditions of Mega Man styled songs. So you know how to fix it? Turn the volume down, go to CZcams, check out the soundtrack covered by MET and rock out. Yeah now thats what it should sound like!"
Sure, no problem
@@METPoland Rock on!!!
@MetPoland Im from @KBXBand and Im the dude who is gonna shout out your channel in my short about this game. It'll be up tomorrow! And this is still amazing!!!
Nice, I'll look at it!
Nice played. I love it. Could you show us the TAB of the title song please? It would be great. 🙂👍
Is there separate title soundtrack? i know, this is too good. My only favorite song is Title.
ワールドでは2が一番思いで深い。
Somone should review that guy on metal archives.
I play this in the background of Kiki Chanel's Anti-MLM videos.
Msu-1 please!
The music for the GB MM2 is so weird, 'cause it's PAINFUL in-game, but it actually rocks if you drop it two or three (dozen) octaves?? Like, why???
The music has always been awesome. Maybe some people don’t like hard and high sounding music: some people only can stand vanilla mainstream stuff that’s boring while others crave the excitement and power of Metal. I love MM II‘s music since I played it in the beginning of the 90‘s, absolutely awesome music full of excitement.
Hell I think they should remake this whole game but make your soundtrack be the official soundtrack cuz it is much better than the original I'm going to tell ya that right now
This is MEGAMAN 2.3
31:10 :D
Clash man
How to turn god-awful tracks into masterpieces:
Woodman’s GB theme is superior to the others.
