I think the Boys were fantastic last night! They have so outgrown the AGT/BGT shows! As their 5 Top 20 albums and sold out concerts around the world prove! To your Collaborators you will always be OUR Champions! Keep singing Boys and I'll see you in October!
I love the Collabro when they do covers of musical or theatrical songs. It was a well staged performance but not showing off much of what they truly are.
AGT chose the song and the arrangement. You're only seeing half their performance, as the entire middle of the song was cut from the broadcast.
Saintly City Sue Really? It just seemed to fall flat. I am a big fan, but not fond of the song.
Richard's controlled emotion lifts the group's performance. He's much missed
Understandably, the other four were jealous of Richard's incredible talent. He could not help but be singled out by everyone. His gift was, and is, that substantial. The fact is that Richard needs Collabro and Collabro needs Richard. They have all suffered from the splintering of the group. Sometimes, you have it right the first time.

Loved Collabro from the first time I heard them. Still love them now.
There group is not the same without the other singer. His voice had a depth and deepness that just made the sound with the group unique.

@@michaelmyndrov3654 He left. Apparently he'd been incredibly unhappy, and there are rumors that potentially there was jealousy and issues in the group, but these are unconfirmed. I can only hope he's happier now.
im a huge fan of collabro and their voices are amazing, it felt that they didnt release their full potential, i hope they make it through to keep going strong and show them how amazing they are

These boys are amazing, it's such a shame that people were underwhelmed by their performance! I'd have loved to see their Motown mashup or their Jersey Boys performance, as that is so different to what the Got Talent franchise know of our boys! Having seen the boys live and met them, I can honestly say they are amazing performers and even better guys - you've opened a door by going on the show, don't close it just because this wasn't perfect!

I would have loved to see them live, and WOW to actually meet them. This is October 2022 and they are on the farewell tour.

They did not " reunite " . They are a very successful band . Many tours and CD's . Wonderful young men.

Actually I did not see this before but I did seem them on a cruise and this is what they were nothing great a boy band.
@@MusicalTheatre1011 - I was extremely fortunate to see Collabro perform numerous times, both on the cruise to Amsterdam in 2018 and the cruise to Ireland in 2019. I’ve also flown over to England for their 2017 Home tour and a year later for their Road to the Albert Hall tour. On this continent I’ve driven 1000 miles round trip to see them perform in Canada, and flew to Detroit to see them during their last U.S. tour. Surprisingly, I am hardly unique. Musical theater lovers drive and fly thousands of miles to experience a live Collabro show, most of which are sold out far in advance. The group has long outgrown the label of “boy band” and are now consummate professionals and seasoned performers.

They were as always professional and brilliant,yet once again they have been put in the position of not controlling what they sing,not surprised at the outcome following B.G.T when they were sidelined after bringing the audience to their feet in united love and appreciation of their talents.But hey,they are so successful, why does the outcome of a "Talent show" matter to four amazing professional guys
Collabro didn't go into this expecting to win, but I'm sure they expected fair treatment. AGT offered a showcase for the boys to break into the American market which is why we're fuming.

Whimpy hit it on the head. When I saw reunite I was execting Richard back. The strength that is missing and made them unique.
Had to come back. What was with Simon? He only said he remembered them from their first audition on BGT, and said they had to “up their game”, for this show. They were on BGT Champions, sang, “Who Wants to Live Forever”, brilliantly, with even Simon liking it. How come he is so snarly here. Why couldn’t they sing whatever they did before? This is a new audience. They are outstanding performers, whom, I believe, were put in a losing position by the producers. You can tell by what Simon says to them, they were told what they could and could not sing. I honestly hate “Shallow”; it’s been done to the point of boring.
Chin up, Guys! Keep going. I am an American who extols your talent with whomever will listen.
Sharon Delaney I also thought Simon was odd, I am an Aussie fan and couldn’t be more proud of the boys.
Simon also did the same thing with one of the finalists. I always believe in karma. It has its own way sooner or later.

I love Collabro, but I feel like they would've done better if they sang December 1963 or something. Still loved their performance though, I definitely would've voted for them
I really loved Collabro's original style. Theater kids with a fresh take on musicals. My opinion about their career coarse since they won BGT is that they have veered way of coarse from what they were passionate about. The operatic harmonies of pop music is cute; but, never appealed to me.
Their original style was that they were five (at the time) regular, hungry, stage/musical lovers. It was unique and relatable, yet surprising and fresh. The idea, for me, about these suave, old school, gentlemen suits stole the youthful exuberance that most people fell for in the beginning. And that branding is definitely not going to work in the US.
This AGT Champions performance gives the impression that they are all bored and their brand seems inauthentic. I love them, so much. I still watch their BGT performances every now again. But, some rebranding might be in order after this utter fail on AGT. They need to start from their personal beginnings. Theater kids with a fresh take on musicals. JMHO
Majority of their songs are from musicals still. Check on their latest concert in the UK. It is only in their latest album where they had some pop music but still arranged in a classical way as that is the bidding of their new record deal with BMG.

Also check out their "Home" album which they produced independently. The goal was to get back to their musical theater roots without the overwhelming background accompaniment and occasional pop song Syco insisted on.

I think they are missing Richard's voice. Don't know what happened but he had the plus in that group. Don't get me wrong. They are good but they used to be magical.

FRAUD ALERT!!! This clip is NOT Collabro's live performance from the taping of the show last October. That performance had the audience on their feet wildly cheering the guys on. You can see a split second of audience reaction at the end of the song. No, this is a mashup of a take the boys were required to record before an empty audience AFTER the taping of the show. That tape was then stripped of the swells and crescendos in the middle of the song. Here is what COLLABRO actually sounds like:

I was hesitant watching this audition as I know one is out of the group and they were fantastic back then. It a bit different to how it was before. Nonetheless, the harmony and great voices are still there. Go collabro! Still a fan.

Simon was completely ridiculous and childish on this night . The golden buzzer was totally wasted on the storm trooper dancers who were juvenile . his purpose on this night was to hold Collaborated back .

Their original BGT audition is the one that stands out for me. The use of casual dress, youthful expression and acoustic harmonies is unforgettable. Would like more of that.

The entire middle of the song, which contained the big swells and crescendos, was cut out from the broadcast. Collabro didn't realize this until the night the show aired. The judges criticized them for the song choice, but AGT chose the song. AGT also chose the arrangement and those godawful suits. It was a set-up from start to finish.
Collabro is a far better group today than they were 4 years ago, stronger voices, far more intricate arrangements, better stage presence and showmanship. They continue to hit the Top Ten in album sales, tour the world, and open for world-renowned acts.

Agreed. Their first performances were amazing but this time there were too many similar voices. The first singer this time is quite good but the blond soloist has such a weak voice compared to the old singer. Just looked him up and it looks like he left since the group became too political and he wanted to do jazz instead.

Claimed that “this is why we made the show.” The AGT snark was nothing more or less than a publicity stunt.
@@heatherjamieson4295 yes I know that performance of 'Who Wants to Live Forever' was amazing which btw was arranged and recorded when Richard was still there (not saying he did all the work) but you can see and hear the difference in the way they arranged songs when Richard left. I never said they weren't good when he left, just different.
This is the sound of emasculation. Taking a blazingly emotional, passionate song and stripping all pathos from it. Elevator music. Yacht music. But they have an undeniably lovely tone and blend.

01/15/20 - I’m afraid I have to agree with Alesha, Simon & Heidi: Not their best song. IMO, they should have sung their cover of “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”; it’s my fave from their newest album. JMO, of course, and maybe that song is so slow that they wouldn’t have time to shine, given the limited presentation time. Love from Florida, lads!
I can tell you what is missing . It is the extra voice from Richard. They are stil good but THere is a quality missing that was there before.
Theyre good. It wasnt just enuf for the Champions.
I love Collabro, but I do agree with the judges there was something missing. It's hard to match what they did when they won BGT. They have done well, now being 4 instead of 5. I don't this song worked for them. For me, I can immediately tell if its a song they should be doing. Maybe we were just spoiled to much from the performances when they won BGT.

So, how did they do after this performance? Does anyone know? I listen to them sing "Stars" all the time. It was their audition for BGT. I cry every time I watch the video. I absolutely loved the play Les Mis as well, and saw it on stage at least 4 times. :)
before i even read the comments or listened to the judges as soon as they finished i shrugged and said "meh that was okay" and thats the first time Ive ever felt myself react like that after watching these guys perform. it wasnt bad sure, but they have done MUCH better. they completely fucked their shot. its a shame

CaliGal - Total nonsense. Collabro performed on BGT-The Champions just a few weeks before doing this gig. Simon and the other judges absolutely raved about them.
What is the day and timing of this show?
I am not sure but somewhere around 2:40, sounds like Matt's voice went missing. There is something off. That would have been the strongest point in the song. Listened to it many times but I can not hear it.
post-production edits were terrible! there are other videos that show complete performances, and are much better. AGT really screwed up, thanks to Simon's sour grapes.

@@c.jhminga2483 Dancing violinist Lindsey Stirling who didn't make it very far on America's Got Talent because Piers Morgan criticized the fact she missed notes on her violin while male dancers were tossing her through the air became a big star anyway. She has a great video where she performs Who wants to live forever with four handsome young tenors and composes a wonderful new ending for this classic tune.

Not true at all, but that's what Simon apparently wants people to think. What you see here is not their live performance but a manipulated tape they were required to record after the show. The entire middle of the song, with the swells and "Wow!" moments was left on the cutting room floor.
Heidi is right. It's nice but it's not that strong as a performance.
What song is in the background
