Your positive attitude is amazing! I love how you allowed your accident to make you "better not bitter". I am ashamed I get so aggravated sometimes over stupid little things that don't really matter. You are an inspiration!

Thank you for the kind words. We are all only human. Believe me I get frustrated at many things. Just my age and believe it or not my accident has made me a better person by having to slow down and observe before I act or say things. Can’t wait to see your next video.

Incredible story. Just found this channel... I like that you have a positive outlook toward life. Really looking forward to checking out more on your channel. Very awesome that you enjoy the outdoors so much. I am up in Maine as well! Spring is on the way, brother! Wont be long and you'll be out in the woods! Best wishes, my friend.

NorthEast Outdoors thank you so much for watching. The snow is slowly going. I can’t wait to get out and hit the dirt roads again. I got a lot of new places I found while hunting last year. I hope to get those on video as I explore them. Take care and Good Hunting here in the Awesome state of Maine.

i wil be 59 in Jan. i am disabled as well. i worked as a class A welder and a delimber operator when i couldnt hold as a welder in a logging camp for a number of years, it was a Friday night shit in mid Jan 1987 i got called to go weld a brake on a big koring slasher, at 11pm, i drove north 50 miles from camp to this machine by my self, it was dark and -48 F and a 20 mph wind, i was welding up on the koring slasher were i have many times in the dark and cold, with lights off my welding truck. some how i lost oreantasion and fell over the side 18 feet to the frozen swomp, i laid there not able to move my legs, for some time, i know i had to do something or i would frees to death there,, WSIB REFUSED MY CLAM I FILED A LAW SIUT and it dragged on for 27 years before i was finally paid out, i had got married after that, once i got the check, i found my ex wife with another guy. Scott, a usa owner of 1000 lakes resort here in upsala Ont. Canada, our court system gave her every cent i had, every thing i built up since i was 18, i bought my land cash at 18, i love moose hunting, i use to go out in the 5th wheel RV for 10 days at a time, shoot many moose but at age 45 it was ether find a way to get an 8 wheel argo liqide cooled with tracks an cab, to stay warm, as i can not feel my legs or right hand and i have froze them bad, so i had no way of getting an argo to get into were you need to go, and sit from dark to dark, so i was left to pack up my guns and gear, as i had only my cpp disability pension to live on witch is nothing much, and i had not got my pay out yet from the law suit, and i though ok, when i get my pay out i will buy that argo and hunt again, but i know sooner got it and the courts gave every cent to my ex, plus my land, she took my tractor.. well i could go on, but i talk about it a little in my videos, and will be getting more into it soon

Great video, I'm disabled as well. And I also enjoy the outdoors. Unfortunately your worse off then me. I like your positive attitude Shane. It helps me, and I'm sure other people as well, to see your videos. If your out there, there's no reason why I can't be outdoors as well. Keep the videos coming!!

Thank you so much for watching. All I want to do is inspire people to get out and enjoy Gods creation. We don't get a second try. Being able to do something is far better than not trying at all, or just assuming it cant be done. Thank you again.

How do you use you wheelchair out in the woods any type of special tires ? Or certain things you have to use ?

The Amputee Hunter hello fellow hunter. I don’t use my chair much in the woods. I hunt from the truck or ATV a lot and I can walk short distances with crutches. So once in a while I will do that, but trying to walk with a lot of clothes on to stay warm is a challenge because it takes a lot of strength and energy and I sweat very quickly so then I have a scent problem as well as getting colder far faster than if I didn’t walk because of convection. Thank you so much for watching my videos and if I can answer any other questions please ask away. That is what we are all here for. To help each other out and to learn from each other’s trial and errors. God Bless and Good Hunting! Maine North Woods Hunter (Shane)
