I’d say like the rest get a retro bottom drain which I’ve got myself but after 3 years and still have to vacuum says to me that if I had a Proper Bottom drain the pressure and the natural fall down drain with No lip like the retroBDrain has would save me getting out vac specially as my bottom is completely flat which I should of made a natural slope which in turn a proper bottom drain would perform a lot better than RBD in my opinion 🤷🏻 . But liking the Aka Matsuba definitely a standout fish and if yr looking for pond vac I’d say get the PONDXPERT PondMaster Non Stop Pond Vacuum SO you can hoover & pump out continuously so back to pond once polished or straight to drain “either iver” hope that helps 🤷🏻

Nice fish - I thought I'd a Parachnia, in the last couple of months it's turned into a Gin Matsuba!!! Got a couple of Ogon's, great shape in my view.

I just kept cleaning my filter everyday until it cleared. was worth it in the end. took 3 days. i have a pond vacuum and i rate them. was just a cheap one that starts and stops but when it stops to empty it gives you chance to ee where you have missed. great vid.
As Skeggy said, get a retro bottom drain and you won’t need a pond vac but if you do go for the Oase pondvac 4. Has dual chambers so you get continuous vacuuming unlike the cheaper ones that stop/start while they empty.
@Shrewsbury Koi very nice just getting them at that stage I'd just ridiculous money I'm tge same with bonsai as I am koi get em very small and watch em grow 😊
