Someone get Ebbers a rocking chair for the studio!
Grandpa Ebbers.
@@SortedFood welp considering he's been there since the French Evolution, he is one :))
Gotta call it "Ebb(ers) and flow" >:P
Rocking chairs are good for your legs
100% agree, he looks so relaxed.
Ben going full Disney princess and befriending a butterfly is perfect.
The food all looks killer.
I expected him to break out into song 🎶

I feel the need to note how much I love the camaraderie between you guys. You engage in trash talk without it ever feeling mean, and how much you truly care about each other always comes through. Your content is great, but your friendship makes it next level.
Ben just sitting there unbothered while Jamie and mike are stressed out cooking. Perfect😂👍🏻
I think the studio needs a bar and rocking chair(s)..........
Unbothered?? Did you miss the dramatic fly in the wine? Ebbers could have choked. Really he had just as rough a time as them
@@dougiemcelroy 😂😂😂
He was the real winner of the episode 😂
If he was really embracing his inner Kentucky gentleman, he would have been sipping a mint julep.
Ebbers' eye roll when the fly got in his wine glass is a mood....
A total mood!
Best bit of the whole episode 😂
I had a teenage "yesss dad" moment when Ebbers said "I think you both need to thank Dan, for the expert testing class" 🤣
Yay Jamie won for Kentucky! As a Kentuckian, I'm glad to see your travels around our lovely state, which really doesn't get much notice unless something bad happens. Glad to see you visited the western side of the state by going to Paducah. I have lived on the western side all my life. Thank you guys for this series.
We very much enjoyed our time there, thanks for having us in your gorgeous state!
I agree Tracey! It was fun watching them hit Wallis Station. Not far from me and good food!
I mean, the series has done its job for promoting, was probably a state I wouldn't have considered travelling too previously, certainly one that we would consider now
Tracey, you should have brought them up short for visiting a 7 year old distillery. Even someone from 'way out west' should know they've gone wrong there.
Ben living his best life. Wine in the sun and naps in the car. 😁
And butterflies!
Can we see Barry, Jamie and Mike as line cooks at a restaurant and see how they do?
Great idea!
What a great idea
I think they'd be fine at that- they'd know roughly what was on the menu and how to make it. I say reverse it, make them act as head chef with a bunch of sous/line cooks they need to order around.
Compared to many line cooks i've worked with, Barry, Jamie, and Mike would be amazing at it.
didnt they just do that on the burger boat
Jamie basically cooked a traditional KY meal as I might see it. Cucumber salad, fried catfish, brussels sprouts, and watermelon with something salty are all very traditional here, and I've loved them all my life, but he took them to different places. I thought it was a great take on our food, he paid attention! My granny would have ate his plate, that is high praise lmao
Wow this really looked like a tough choice in the end! That grilled cheese looked so inviting, but Jamie managed so much in so little time...clearly the solution is to just eat everything, everyone wins!
Yup, everyone wins!
My grandpa used to work at Old Fitzgerald, and the Blade and Bow that's out now is more than likely the last bit of bourbon he worked with before it closed!
I think you guys do sponsored content so well. It never feels forced, and honestly its just super impressive videography, kudos
i know grilling probably is not a thing jamie and mike are used to with a charcoal grill, but it looks like the charcoal grate was height adjustable. All they had to do was raise it closer to the food for more heat and faster cooking. that said, they did an amazing job !!!! loved watching them sweat lol.
You guys are great! Your uploads always make my day and I absolutely am not ashamed of counting down the days in between! Thank you!
That's so lovely to hear 😁
Sometimes I get really sad about my country...and there is plenty to despair about...but it's nice to be reminded just how diverse it is and how generous, hard working, and big hearted most people in it really are.
Man, those dishes they made looked absolutely stunning...
Thank you! They were VERY tasty!
I would love to see one of these series done in Michigan! We have lots of micro breweries everywhere, the Traverse City Cherry festival at the begining of July, can’t forget the maple syrup season in early spring, and first day of hunting season which ends up being an impromptu holiday around here! (Whole schools close because they don’t have enough kids come in sometimes!)
This series has done an incredible job at showing how amazing the culinary scene is in Kentucky.
We can excuse the Sonny BBQ part 😂
As someone who grew up in KY, not far from the Cumberland falls you visited, Y'all have done me proud in this series. TY for visiting and im happy as hell y'all enjoyed! and I love how polite you are, "it's got great color on it." in american english that translates to burnt AF.
Yes! Battles after adquiring so much infor are always a treat... Like the food you're enjoying! You guys are the best!
Thanks Daniel. and thanks for watching!
Love seeing Ebbers chilling with no care in the world....the “so cute” remark was the most adorable. Well done mike and Jamie. 🤩
Hah. I saw that Private Selection label. They shopped at Kroger lol.
I saw that.
I really love it when you guys take on southern US cuisine. You show that we have so much more to offer than spray cheez and fried chicken 😆
yeah...beer cheese and fried catfish 😂😂 just playin southern food is so tasty and diverse though
@@BlackHilt Damn I can't even argue, that sounds good af 😆
Kudos to Jamie for featuring Brussel sprouts in a yummy way instead of hiding them. Mike's also looked good and did feature kentucky components but I could go into a lot of KY places and find things similar to Jamies.
I'm drooling at that bourbon "museum;" the Old Crow Chessmen (@ 2:02) is considered by many to be one of the best bourbons ever created, and one that I hope I can try one day. Super jealous of that Old Fitz pour - cheers!
I am so using the time frame of "half a glass of wine" this summer by the out door grill. 🤣🥂 Great Ebberism.
Checking that the tongs work is a requirement for grilling. (And swearing at the barbecue gods, lol!)
If somebody picks up tongs and doesn't immediately click them... that isn't a human that's a changeling impersonating a human.
I just adore when you guys come here to the US to eat and cook! Keep coming back! I adore these series! I'm from the south, so this one hit home quite a bit, even though I haven't been back in a very long time.
Also, whoever does your music on the American videos, really nails it! It feels like it fits the moods and foods so well! Good job! Love you guys and all your crew!
I have totally enjoyed this series! I work in Murray, KY, just south of Paducah. It was so great to see your reactions to places I've known most of my life. ☺️
When your work day involves drinken $10.000 whiskey, it must be pretty good.
Loving all the travel videos!
We know right? It's a tough job, but someone has got to do it!
This has been one of the best set of videos. Hope you all enjoyed your time in the USA! Looking forward to more content about the variety of food we offer across the country!
Jamie just having that look of rapture at 2:50, sharing that moment of awe with Dan, perfect.
So proud of the boys for really soaking in the good ole American food culture! You guys are the best. And what beautiful scenery in Kentucky of all places, wow!
I'm so happy that watermelon made it on a plate! It is a Southern staple (and personal favorite) that, from my understanding, is a little different from the kind found in the UK.
Ben with wine and watermelon is embodying my favorite parts of a picnic
Ben’s face at 4:21 is him probably realizing he shouldn’t be driving 😂
You know sometimes people just say they are enjoying a trip but everything about you guys showed you enjoyed yourself. Which I love to see
I always love these travel videos where you guys immerse yourselves in a new place and the local food; and the food battle at the end is always great 😊
Ben befriending a butterfly was perfect! He definitely needs a rocking chair in the studio!! I’m impressed that Jamie was able to get all 4 dishes plated in time. I love the idea of bourbon and orange juice with sprouts! Mike’s grilled cheese sandwich looked delicious and I’m intrigued by the beer cheese.
I cannot believe Mike used Falls City beer in his beer cheese. That was my Poppys beer. He drank nothing but that. That just made me smile so big.
Thanks for another great video. I really loved this Kentucky series, so many amazing people and tasty looking food.
I love how the boys are cooking and ebbers is just sitting in a rocking chair reading a book in the Kentucky countryside.
Honestly loved this series, thanks for making content that is not only inspiring and entertaining but also comforting and a respite. Hugely appreciated and love seeing you as best mates enjoy experiences of a lifetime together, living vicariously through you all makes for a really wholesome and treasured watch. Cheers lads.
“I want to hold back and enjoy at the end.” -Ebbers, immediately before stealing melon
Sorted travel videos are always my favorite because it's so fun to watch some best friends exploring amazing food together
I've never salivated more than hearing how Jamie is preparing his brussels......bourbon syrup, orange juice, and garlic........gawd damn....
Kentucky here. Between louisville and paducah. You boys did us right.
Of all the people with awesome lives on youtube these guys have the best job in the world!
Been subscribed since the very very early days and this channel continues to go from strength to strength.
Something about Jamie making cucumbers and Mike using pickled tomatoes is very, very Southern to me. My grandparents were from the south and during the summer had quick pickled cucumber with onion and radish and carrot and tomato, whatever was available. Having some kind of tangy, fresh element to cut through the richness of Southern food is always nice.
Ben in the rocking chair is my new favorite mood. This is the definition of serene.
This has been one of the most fun and exciting series to watch lads, the food throughout has looked super tasty and so jealous of all the bbq you have eaten. Cant wait for the next USA trip because there really needs to be one.
Shoes off and kicked back in the shade. Ben definitely had the better deal in all of this! Great series, guys!
I watch you guys from the States, and you are one of the most enjoyable to watch no matter what you're doing. Whether it's testing products, guessing spices, or cooking doesn't matter, just love watching you guys.
I'm very happy that you had a wonderful time in the Southern US.
British-American here - really glad to see states - other than the usual - getting attention. The US is not just NYC, Disney, Vegas, and LA!
Amazing trip and presentation. Thank you for sharing!
Loved this video! The food looks soooo good, I'm really impressed by it! I love that it's "two winners" because nothing there looked anything short of delicious.
This has been such a neat video! Really awesome to see some places I haven't heard of to eat even though I've lived all over the state. Thanks for putting this together and highlighting my state in such a beautiful way.
Hope you all enjoyed the Bluegrass music!
Jamie, you did an amazing job. The plating was lovely. Mike, the sandwich looked delicious. And Ben, I'm glad you were finally able to relax. Great episode, guys!
I have absolutely loved this series! I really hope to see more of these trips with you boys.
I know I say this on every video that I comment on, but I just love how much love there is between you boys. And it is difficult not to love you as a result.
I was hoping to see you guys eat a Kentucky hot brown sandwich.
Lol, teacher Ben with the carrots. “What are you gonna do about that?? Nooo, put them on the hot side!”
I just wanted y'all to know that I've been on a kick with these videos and I got my parents to watch them with me at their house! Y'all always make us hungry 😂
So glad you guys had a good time here!
As I have said before, you need this on THE LEFT COAST!!!
This was a lovely video, mates. All of the food you made looked delicious. I also enjoyed the bourbon tasting and the extra bits. Cheers!
I can’t wait for the next time you guys visit the US, the videos are always SO good, i hope Barry gets to come next time too
This series is a delight ! I am all for more "offshore" episodes!
Every single one of those dishes, I thought "yep, that sounds good". Mike's grilled cheese looked positively delicious! Jamie's dishes were super traditional and I have had variations of all those dishes my entire life. Those sprouts, though, wow! I would take the grilled cheese with a side of brussels sprouts any day.
This was delightful, thank you! I live in southern IL, and I think Kentucky is beautiful.
Ben's mood during the challenge is one I strive to have every day.
Mike and Jamie's moods during the challenge are ones I strive to avoid every day.
Also, cute butterfly!🦋
Ebbers chilling by the sideline is one of the greatest things ever XD
for the last 3 years I have watched every video on the channel, the only issue is I cannot watch it without eating something! so you have all been staple dinner guests :)
loved watching the USA trip!
Instead of a Mustang, y’all should’ve drove around in a Corvette. They’re made here in Kentucky. My son cooks in a restaurant in Paducah Kentucky. I was hoping you went to his but it’s not quite as fancy as the old freight house
Thank you guys for showing that America is a genuinely beautiful place still. Yes I know a lots going on but it's still an amazing place to live!
Respect to Jamie he went all out in a short time and 4 dishes dam impressive.
Is it weird that I almost got a little emotional when Jaime got to try that historical bit of bourbon?
Jamie, you should have grilled half of your melon. And the carrots become charred-raw when you don't pre-steam them in a foil-parcel.
"There's a fly in my wine!" 😂❤️
Thanks for showing the world beautiful Kentucky (lovely state that does not always get respect).
Barry = West Coast style, Jamie = Southern style, Mike = East Coast style cooks.
as a locale ( ok so i am from IL but i live just across the river from Paducah) i feel you guys really did our food proud
This is awesome guys. The perfect back bumper to this would have been yall rolling the end credits.
Jamie's killin it lately! Looks like you boys had a lovely journey here, I'm glad :)
Kentucky Cook Off has a nice ring to it 😊
I can't buy catfish where I live, and this fish, breaded with cornmeal, fried, and served with plenty of lemon, is my favourite fish dish. My mouth is totally watering!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
Dearest Mike,
As someone who has entertained us over the years, you are so worthy of that $10,000 Bourbon.
Sincerely,
Management.
Love this so much! Now, gents, Oklahoma awaits you.
I love this concept. Sorted need to do more traveling food shows!
I just wanted to say that I really like you guys you really have great chemistry and energy together and most importantly, I love your enthusiasm for America. I absolutely love anybody that lives in another country who comes to visit and find themselves absolutely enjoying our country he puts a huge smile on my face, so thank you for that.
This whole series of videos has been brilliant. I'm a new viewer to you guys and I just binge-watched the whole play-list. Nice 1! (...and I bet you guys had an absolute blast filming it!) (ps. also... i just subscribed to your channel)
The butterfly was certainly enjoying the grilled cheese! 😂
The last time I was in America was 1983, and series has really made me want to go back to America and experience it as an adult. 😊
As someone who literally lives down the street from OBC, I have to say you guys did a great job on your cookout. I have to agree with Ben's decision. Fried catfish is a big KY flex unless you screw it up LOL! Beer cheese is always good and that grilled cheese looked amazing. I'll have to make that ASAP.
Sorry I couldn't come out and play when you were here in Lexington. Glad you got to tour a good bit of the state and visit Bardstown. Oh and everyone's curious about the castle 😁
Brilliant guys. Thanks
Love how the butterfly also loved the food
I’m so proud to see my home state represented like this!!!! There’s nothing more beautiful than the Kentucky countryside 😍
As a KY expat, this series has made me incredibly homesick in the best way
Great and inspiring trip, more of these please ❤
Been meaning to do a borboun trail tour, thanks for making it easier ❤
