Actually, this cover specifically has an echo effect and an over all polish filter on it. I can't deny that Charlie Puth is still truly amazing, and it's awesome how open he is about using autotune. Let's face it pretty much everyone uses it.
But he is really using autotune here, he just learned how to sing 3 years ago (It's a funny history, he listened to him singing in autotune and then he just repeated what he listened, because he has perfect pitch)
