But wouldn’t you need to have at least a brief understanding on what your doing and where to find things? I feel like if u based your company on the contractor, media buyers, etc etc, they will end up taking over and potentially running over your agency/company which therefore after you still wouldn’t gain the actual knowledge you need for let’s say doing it yourself. If you throw urself out there without the fundamentals you will surely fail faster then if u actually have the fundamentals and if you do fail it isn’t bad because you know where you went wrong. But I don’t know just an opinion.

Yes, but that's why you need to get a client first. I think the thing he missed is that to get this first client just offer to do the services for free. For example if you're doing ads you can just tell them that you're a beginner trying to grow your portfolio, and that you'll charge very cheap or work for free. The only thing they have to pay for is adspend.
