Vermont Spring Championship Saturday 2024: Diamond sports

Baseball-
Division I- (1) South Burlington scored six unearned runs in the first inning on route to their 6-2 win over (3) CVU.
Division II- In a back-and-forth game, (6) Mt. Abraham thought they had won the title with a walk-off walk against (8) Middlebury, but the runner never advanced to first base. That runner was ruled out and the Tigers took advantage in extra innings to win 7-6.
Division III- (6) BFA-Fairfax scored three runs in the first inning and Ryan Sheehan pitched a complete game 1-hitter to beat (5) White River Valley 7-0.
Softball-
Division I- (5) Missisquoi beats (2) Mt. Anthony 8-7 in extra innings.
Division III- (1) Oxbow scored a record 37 runs against (2) Bellows Falls to win 37-2. It’s their fourth-straight championship and 45th-straight win.
Division IV- (4) Richford scored six runs in the second to beat (2) West Rutland 11-7.
