- This video series documents the features included in my Lua config for academic writing in NeoVim. I will cover: (1) the features included in the config; (2) installation instructions for Mac and Arch Linux operating systems; (3) details for how to edit the config to your specific needs; and (4) how to use Git to both manage your own workflow and collaborate with others. You can find the config linked below:

I include further reasons to use NeoVim for academic writing here:

This is awesome. I'm looking forward to this new video series. Thank you!
I'm so much looking forward to the new video series.
I had copied your setup last Neovim setup, adapted a little and is my go to for Markdown documents or short letters in latex.
For larger things (master thesis) I switch, but unfortunately back to VSC. Although I find writing in NeoVim much more comfortable. The only reason is Grammly plugin. I have not yet found a good autocorrection plugin with which I was as satisfied as with the VSCode extension.
I'm excited to try out the new setup, though. Thanks for the great videos
Thank you very much, i am just about to write my thesis and this is a great help for me.
you have no idea how relevant this is to me right now!!
Back and better with a Lua config! 🎉
This is just what I needed, thanks a lot !!!
Thankyou so much. Also could you talk a bit about setting up an easy window manager for this purpose. Only the basics needed for just latex editting. Without window manager, the popping up of compiled pdf is not looking so good.
I'm using Tmux with the terminal, but window managers is outside the scope of this project and should be covered by your distribution. I'm using Garuda with the Gnome desktop for simplicity but ofc there are tons of good options.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me what latex template you're using for the article shown in the video? It looks really nice :-)
Everything is in the repo: github.com/benbrastmckie/.config/tree/29f3c28d1247c575f1e41241c8f5452656242222/nvim/templates
