    RM just doesn’t care about its customers. It’s clear.

    That's why I just don't buy any coins from royal mint!!!

    😥 As a collector myself, I totally understand your feelings....I think to resolve this quality issue permanently the Royal Mint (and any other mint) should hire only collectors to run their business (not individuals who take this as a job to just get paid). Please keep raising these issues on "The Silver Forum".

    Embarrassing for the so called royal mint

    That is not a re-struck coin .. look at the date on the box , it's a customer returns! probably had the capsule open and instead of carefully putting the coin back by the rim , they've fingered the bloody thing.... I have had to send so many coins back now .. waiting for third and forth time lucky ..plus the returns website crashing so having to pay for returns , for which I haven't been refunded...
    Question ... Do you really believe a single word that customer services tell you? because I don't... not for a second!
    Most of their proof coins are now , basically bullion scrap... so , although I'll keep up with the Tudor Beasts set order.. I'm pretty much done with a company that seem to only cater for flippers ... and can't produce any type of quality...
    Enough is Enough ...

    many of the coins i get from apmex is scratched and as minimum BU rating as possible - just enough for them to call it BU. Its going to the point where the only place i can buy my coins are at shows where i can physically inspect them.

    That looks like a fingerprint on the cheek. That is really unfortunate =( Please keep calling for better quality assurance. I actually love these videos

    The smudge on the reverse of that second coin was glaringly obvious. I cannot believe that the packer wasn't aware of it. The Royal Mint clearly has a serious problem with quality control. Keep after them!

    Appreciate your rant! I can’t decide whether the Queen has acne or needs a shave. Send a note to the Mint Director that if they can’t give you a first class coin that you’ll send the coin to Her Magesty.

    Unacceptable.
    Disgraceful.
    Embarrassing.
    ... is what the Royal Mint has become.
    How can they keep making such simple mistakes when just about every other Mint that turns out low mintage collectables can do so in perfect condition?

    Go to Perth mint much better quality

    At this point when there is something this seriously wrong that has been going on for so long, you have to look at the top. It's not the staff but whoever is in charge.

    BB, as mentioned before, I've returned many proof coins to RM.
    Even the capsules are piss poor. Me thinks a stern letter to the CEO ( Anne Jessopp) is required, especially as these are premium coins.

  • @richardmetcalf2346
    @richardmetcalf2346 Před 2 lety +1

    I'm not sure about the RM but the U.S.mint is having quality issues also. Here I think the lack of planchets and extremely high demand is causing the mint to push them out the door with a hasty if any inspection! Just a thought!

  • @wayneburbrink1215

    If the premiums were not hundreds of dollars over silver price it be easier to swallow on the fancy coins

  • @sergeant_t2020

    Wow BYB, you have the worst luck. I've noticed a lot of the world mints have a quality control issues. I have brand new coins that have already milk spotted, received scratched, poorly struck or product packaging sub-par. I like you, can go on & on. Very annoying to say the lease.

  • @AlohaStacker

    Sure seems like QA is getting really bad from The Royal Mint and others... Sorry you have had so much bad luck lately with them!

  • @martind5348

    The main issue I keep having is with scratches/frosting issues around the rim of my coins. I've sent coins back multiple times with this issue and it keeps happening

  • @planetzogg1
    @planetzogg1 Před 2 lety +1

    That is shockingly poor (if any) quality crontrol from the RM. You wouldn't expect those marks on a BU coin, let alone a proof.

  • @garrycroft4215
    @garrycroft4215 Před 2 lety

    The lid is not supposed to stay open. The inner that holds the coin is magnetic and stays tilted at around 45 degrees, then the lid rests on this at the opposite 45 degrees. Also it’s impossible to centre the coin as it’s loose in the capsule so turns at will during transport.

  • @tallthinkev

    They are expensive another, what, £30 to have someone check each one?

  • @davidmartin2957
    @davidmartin2957 Před 2 lety +2

    Sorry Backyard but to be blunt they’ve lied to you, in my opinion that is not a fresh coin nor has it been re struck it has been returned to them and just sent out to you. Mistake big mistake.

  • @dkpqzm
    @dkpqzm Před 2 lety

    I can't believe how much trouble you keep having with the Royal Mint. You would think that they would check your orders twice!!
    I wish we in the States could get those coins.
    She looks like she has fingerprints or smudges on her effigy.

  • @RussellBury
    @RussellBury Před 2 lety

    Yea, when you pay so much for something at it is advertised as proof it is not unreasonable to expect the best example of that product, if you bought a brand new car and it had a big scratch down the centre of the windscreen you would throw it back at them but that would be unlikely to happen, the car would be inspected and checked before it is delivered to the customer, thats all that is missing from Royal Mint, just check the products you are sending out, 2 minutes a coin, look at it with eyeballs that has pride.
