I have a few female friends that are streamers, and if I ask if I can play and they don't want me to play with them, at least for a few games or if their lobby is full, that's fine with me. I never see a guy get so bent out of shape about something like that. Like just leave them alone and move on. This behavior is not right at all.

As a trans streamer myself, seeing communities like this band together to support and defend friends and other streamers who are trans is very uplifting. Every day is getting harder and harder with bigoted people and hateful people like that showing up in streams and spewing that garbage.

I feel so bad for the 3 of them, they did a great job by being nice and not getting upset which is incredible but it sucks that someone will get that upset because they aren't allowed to join the lobby and started to be rude. Hopefully these 3 streamers don't continue getting harassed

I followed Sar about a year or so ago after playing a match with her, and after she died she continued to spectate me (I was last survivor) and I ran the killer for a few minutes before dying. A few people found out that I was live, even though I never had ttv in my name, and started hyping me up in my stream for playing half well. I spoke in her chat just for a second to say "hey I was the Zarina, gg" and her and her chat were so welcoming. Can honestly say that was one of the best days I ever had streaming, and if all the interactions I had went similar to that I would probably still be doing it. Glad to see her and some of her friends get some praise, it's deserved.
My little sister always throws a tantrum when me and my twin sister was playing a two player game and she wanted to play, then me or my twin sister had to get off when she told my mom. I'm just happy she doesn't do that anymore. I love your vids :>

I only played single player games until about 4 years ago and 2 1/2 years ago I started a channel for the main online game I was playing. I am still blown away by everything I have had to deal with as a female streamer and I empathize with streamers who do this as their career and have to deal with it all the time. She was so kind when he asked, and the fact that he couldn't take no says it all. In my situation, I have met some amazing friends and I'm part of a great community so it was 100% worth it but I've dealt with harassment, people trying to tell me how I should act, what I should do. People felt entitled to be able to join whenever they want. I am supposed to welcome anyone to join and play while I am streaming and if I don't, I get called all sorts of names. If I am not streaming, I've had people insist I let them hop in and play just the two of us. I've been stalked in lobbies, my personal information (as well as some of my friends) has been released without my permission. I've had people create hundreds of fake troll accounts and type out death threats and spread crazy lies about me. Really crazy stuff! It is amazing what people think is acceptable through a screen, when they don't actually have to face the person.
Transphobia is one of those things I find particularly disgusting. Targeting hatred and harassment towards people who are either non-binary or trans simply for existing is horrible. Calling trans and non-binary people "mentally ill" is truly awful. They are people just like everyone else. They deserve to be treated like people

As a trans woman, tysm for addressing and speaking about this. Literally just getting told “I’m valued” means the world to me, so thank you for that. Most people just crap on me for existing and it sucks, I end up feeling insecure everywhere I am and having the habit of faking myself just so everyone else is happy. It’s a hard habit to break and I have tried but it’s just hard when even by those people who think love you don’t really show it or make you feel confident and comfortable for who you are. Hopefully in 10 years things will change for the better much more significantly.

I see many commenting on how they were being so polite and patient. I might make multiple comments here because I'm at 2:43 (so I'm sure this gets way worse) and there's already a lot to unpack. I do not have the patience these ladies have. I just want to mention as a trans person towards their "it's science" take, it's actually quite the opposite. Genders, pronouns, etc. are actually heavily reinforced by science, it's just, as with other scientific things, we dumb it down when teaching it with schools. For example, we say there are only 3 states of matter, when there are truly many many more states of matter that you learn about if you choose to continue science. This ofc brings up another question of whether this should change, which I wholeheartedly think it should, but it's important to strive beyond a kindergarten level education and accept people as the complicated beings they are.

At the risk of sounding like the US is the center of the universe, the renewed hate comes at least partially from American politics. Removing rights from trans people has been a way for a certain party to pander to some of their base by targeting people who don't vote for that party, and it's blown up public debate for months, which attracts the rhetoric. Here's hoping history is not kind to those people.
I once counted myself amongst the Alt-Write, but eventually realized we don't all of us excel at any one thing. Auto-incorrect has also been doing a terrible number to grammar, of which I blame for all the errant apostrophes. Perhaps the wiring in their brain's language center isn't well-suited for English; it's a tricky language, as it is. At any rate, there is often language enough to get the point. Calling out grammar is a quick, easy, very brief win.

I have multiple friends in the US who are trans. Some from the DBD community, others from other hobbies like D&D, or other games, or even just my irl friends from when I was in school some years back. I worry constantly for them, because they are so important to me and so many others, yet this country is threatening them and their identity, and so are other people in their lives. My trans sister can't even properly express herself because of it. Video games are meant to be an escape from the struggles and problems of the real world, a place where we can do what we want and have fun. Not be attacked by people. This sort of stuff is just awful to see. And it happens in a lot of communities. People need to hold themselves to a higher standard than this.

I want to add a thank you for all the content you put out, and the way you do it. I feel like it's important to have these discussions (even though we're not physically discussing it together) with people so we can be better. These videos have helped provide a healthy reminder, if I let myself get tilted, that there are so many better options available than to respond like the folks in your videos. I followed Sar about a year or so ago after playing a match with her, and after she died she continued to spectate me (I was last survivor) and I ran the killer for a few minutes before dying. A few people found out that I was live, even though I never had ttv in my name, and started hyping me up in my stream for playing half well. I spoke in her chat just for a second to say "hey I was the Zarina, gg" and her and her chat were so welcoming. Can honestly say that was one of the best days I ever had streaming, and if all the interactions I had went similar to that I would probably still be doing it. Glad to see her and some of her friends get some praise, it's deserved.
The fact that he was also a twitch partner?? Why did twitch let someone like this hit that milestone it’s so sad 😦.

I only played single player games until about 4 years ago and 2 1/2 years ago I started a channel for the main online game I was playing. I am still blown away by everything I have had to deal with as a female streamer and I empathize with streamers who do this as their career and have to deal with it all the time. She was so kind when he asked, and the fact that he couldn't take no says it all. In my situation, I have met some amazing friends and I'm part of a great community so it was 100% worth it but I've dealt with harassment, people trying to tell me how I should act, what I should do. People felt entitled to be able to join whenever they want. I am supposed to welcome anyone to join and play while I am streaming and if I don't, I get called all sorts of names. If I am not streaming, I've had people insist I let them hop in and play just the two of us. I've been stalked in lobbies, my personal information (as well as some of my friends) has been released without my permission. I've had people create hundreds of fake troll accounts and type out death threats and spread crazy lies about me. Really crazy stuff! It is amazing what people think is acceptable through a screen, when they don't actually have to face the person.
Transphobia is one of those things I find particularly disgusting. Targeting hatred and harassment towards people who are either non-binary or trans simply for existing is horrible. Calling trans and non-binary people "mentally ill" is truly awful. They are people just like everyone else. They deserve to be treated like people

I'm not a streamer, but if I ever try it, I hope to find communities like this that don't confuse what science actually it. As a trans woman, tysm for addressing and speaking about this. Literally just getting told “I’m valued” means the world to me, so thank you for that. Most people just crap on me for existing and it sucks, I end up feeling insecure everywhere I am and having the habit of faking myself just so everyone else is happy. It’s a hard habit to break and I have tried but it’s just hard when even by those people who think love you don’t really show it or make you feel confident and comfortable for who you are. Hopefully in 10 years things will change for the better much more significantly.

Considering that this was a month ago... As a trans woman myself. Having to deal with the IRL struggles, even though I have had my surgery almost a year. Making the Gender Dysphoria go away majorly. I see many commenting on how they were being so polite and patient. Many women learn from an early age to deal with harassment this way, because 1) you don't know whether it would be safe for you to be direct, the person might turn violent, and 2) it's kinda an unspoken rule that women are supposed to be graceful in everything we do, including when we're seething with fury or disgust over someone's behavior, for some dumb reason x)

I might make multiple comments here because I'm at 2:43 (so I'm sure this gets way worse) and there's already a lot to unpack.
I do not have the patience these ladies have. I wouldn't be outright mean, but they're being incredibly nice vs. red flag behavior. Good on them, because being as unflappable as possible as a streamer is so necessary sometimes.
Also I get saying no to changing your plan to allow viewers (or even other streamers) to play with you. It DOES create a "You said I could X" situation. I feel like sometimes I can't even say "we should play sometime!" as a passing comment because it makes some people feel entitled to an exact moment where we play for some reason, and I have to imagine it's worse if you're female.
It's always flattering when people want to play with you. It's a lot less flattering when they feel entitled to it.

I just want to mention as a trans person towards their "it's science" take, it's actually quite the opposite. Genders, pronouns, etc. are actually heavily reinforced by science, it's just, as with other scientific things, we dumb it down when teaching it with schools. For example, we say there are only 3 states of matter, when there are truly many many more states of matter that you learn about if you choose to continue science. This ofc brings up another question of whether this should change, which I wholeheartedly think it should, but it's important to strive beyond a kindergarten level education and accept people as the complicated beings they are.
I will never understand the way people will call each other names once stuff doesn’t go there way, especially men doing that to women. Like yes bro, misgendering a woman and being rude to her is definitely going to make them let you join their lobbies, like what do these people think?

You make a valid point with all the hate trans people are getting online atm. I was recently on the receiving end of it when I posted a comment on a video on FB (a video on a LGBT+ page, the video being about transmasc voice changes) when all I'd commented were how I couldn't wait to be able to record those 'my voice X months on T' videos myself. It hurts that it happened on an LGBT+ page even more.
Sometimes it's coordinated efforts by certain Facebook groups and Facebook is becoming notorious for doing literally nothing about it. These groups target LGBTQ+ groups.
These people are loud but I guarantee you there's more people who aren't like this than those that are.

At the risk of sounding like the US is the center of the universe, the renewed hate comes at least partially from American politics. Removing rights from trans people has been a way for a certain party to pander to some of their base by targeting people who don't vote for that party, and it's blown up public debate for months, which attracts the rhetoric.
Here's hoping history is not kind to those people.

I once counted myself amongst the Alt-Write, but eventually realized we don't all of us excel at any one thing. Auto-incorrect has also been doing a terrible number to grammar, of which I blame for all the errant apostrophes. Perhaps the wiring in their brain's language center isn't well-suited for English; it's a tricky language, as it is. At any rate, there is often language enough to get the point. Calling out grammar is a quick, easy, very brief win.

I have multiple friends in the US who are trans. Some from the DBD community, others from other hobbies like D&D, or other games, or even just my irl friends from when I was in school some years back. I worry constantly for them, because they are so important to me and so many others, yet this country is threatening them and their identity, and so are other people in their lives. My trans sister can't even properly express herself because of it.
Video games are meant to be an escape from the struggles and problems of the real world, a place where we can do what we want and have fun. Not be attacked by people. This sort of stuff is just awful to see. And it happens in a lot of communities. People need to hold themselves to a higher standard than this.

I thought it worth mentioning that grammar doesn't really have anything to do with intelligence nor comprehension, so your comments about this person's grammar not being good were out of place IMO. Not only does implying grammar is linked to intelligence disregard several different disabilities, but also disregards the fact that most people don't care about grammar when they're not in a professional setting anyway.
