Back in the mid-90's, we'd listen to this after getting back from clubs and parties and my uncle would blast it. We'd rock the fuck out of it. I was only 19 yr's old and have been a lifelong fan since. Good music only gets better with time
This is the original version, before Jimmy Page re-remastered it and removed his original corrections. (Compare solos in Celebration Day and Whole Lotta Love from this version to new one.) I grew up with this original version and consider it some of the best music of all time. Thanks for posting this. I'll be back to listen often.
The newer releases sound much better but those versions are not as good as this. These are the full length versions as they happened in the concert, the newer versions leave a lot left out, but many people won't notice that unless they had this original version
@@youtoo2233 it's obvious that since 1976 the technical possibillities of sound quality improvement developped . NO better version of Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love will be found! Well do I remember those base notes from JPJ and on it went from there..... Led Zep took us there, and we haven't ever really come down....
Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones is very much alive! I just saw him at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville Tennessee as part of the Big Ears Festival! You may mean John Paul Jones-The Father of the American Navy- John Paul Jones (born John Paul; July 6, 1747 - July 18, 1792) was a Scottish-born American naval officer who served in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War.
The most perfect versions of No Quarter and Stairway to Heaven on 1976's vinyl release The Song Remains the Same. The releases on CD we got here are concerning the songs and their chronology actually identical. I have found only one complete upload of tthe 1976's lps. unfortunately in bad condition.

These recodings never captured Led Zeppelin at their best. These were all average performances. Sadly, they never thought to release a proper recorded live album. What a huge loss!
What Led Zeppelin did between 69 and 79 can never be duplicated. Their music will forever be timeless.
You mean 68 and 80!
When I was a teenager, they had Midnight Movies at our regular Theater. This was 80's kids only chance to see the Legends performing.Great times!!!!
Chicago, portage theater, long lines, sneak out the fuckin house, people puking, good times
I remember them also. Midnight shows at the local cinema once a year, in Northern Quebec. No pot in those days, only Pakistani Hash.

It was the gathering place on Saturday Night for the Midnight Movie. What an F’n Time

Musically, the best live band ever. Zeppelin always kicked the songs into interstellar overdrive live.

This Rain Song version is totally amazing
