I'm from Uttarakhand and I confident that I can drive here but still it'll take some time to get used to. I don't have hill hold that will cuz problems. It's a great feature to have.

I can understand why people would consider kei cars for terrains like this. I own a Slavia 1.5 MT btw and I could never navigate these terrains unless I know these roads in the back of my head. Great content btw :)

That's why I bought an Alto. I have to drive on these narrow mountain roads daily. Only a narrow car is suitable for such roads. Otherwise driving becomes a chore instead of pleasure.

FYI, The hill hold function actually works on an uphill condition, and not downhill like you mentioned - for downhill it's called hill descent control which the Slavia doesn't have.
So, on an uphill, the heel-toe maneuver isn't actually necessary as the hill hold feature holds for upto 3 secs from rolling backwards. The heel toe is a good to know maneuver to be used in some difficult situations but not all situations. The reason for hill hold is to do this effortlessly and avoid having to use the heel toe method.
Also, we can just lift the clutch upto it's biting point and then lift the leg from brakes and then press the accelerator - this helps in avoiding use of heel toe, holds the car in place. Also with hill hold, you get added safety from rolling backward for the 1st 3 secs after releasing the brakes even if you lose the biting point by pushing in the clutch somehow. Hope this helps.
Bro hill descent function is something else. What I have mentioned in this video is that if you want to go backwards in back gear then hill hold work for that also. The car will engage itself if you want to go backwards in upward hill.

Brother, i can suggest you buy small hatchbag, because C segment sedan don't make any sense in your region. Car is meant for adding comfort not creating issues

Its called a 'toe-hill' footwork, a great method for these hill climbs and very useful while downshifting when coming to a stop by rev matching the gear with the engine's rpm

I'm officially retired from driving after watching this😂.... But seriously, what about the handbrake method? Yes it's time consuming but I think it's the most calm and stable way of doing the pickup without doing leg acrobatics.

No bro we shouldn't drive in neutral because then we have to use brakes more which will lead to brakes heating ab. Drive downhill in 2nd 3rd gear with the help of both engine breaking and manual breaking
Welcome brother 🙏🏽❤️ Driving in neutral is not a good idea because brakes get hot when we rely on brakes only and it might help for little increase in mileage but that is just marginal and when you will drive in neutral you will have to apply brakes harder which will reduce the life of disk pads and brake shoes so its better to use engine braking or we can say putting heavy gears while in down slopes.

Bro we don’t practice that method here in Shimla but it can be used and I think it is also a safe and good method.
10:19 Turbo petrol cars needs dheere se clutch release karna thoda thoda. I have Virtus GT 1.5MT, you simply can't rely on releasing clutch & depressing accelerator. As these cars (virtus/slavia) are heavy in weight & needs healthy RPM to pick up the car in steep incline.

For your information Skoda has updated their accessories list in that Front Parking sensors is available. Kindly check with your Skoda Service center basing on availability you can fix for your car. Since it will be very helpful for sedans.

Absolutely liked your driving skills. I had a query. I own a kushaq 1.5 manual. I am not sure if hill hold assist is given to manual cars. If so can you help me how I can enable it? Sorry if it's a dumb question I wanted to understand if it's present on my car
Na na broo it is always ON there is no specific button for that just check the specs of your specific model. If your kushaq is style model then it should definitely come with hill hold assist. Just take it in a little slope and release the brake and see that car goes backwards on its own or not.

Bro both cars are preferable. I chose manual because I prefer manual cars because you can pull these cars till the red mark and manual cars cost less in these segments 😁

Yes brother that one is also perfect. Its just what you have practiced since you started driving so you perfect that skill much more 🙏🏽❤️ heel to toe or vice versa you can use any method all you need to learn is when and how much clutch you need to release and at what point and how much acceleration do you need 🙌🏽
