- Hi Gang,
I try to solve a common problem with the Arrma Vorteks which is ithe tendency to flip over in fast turns.
I also have Proline Trencher tires which have aggressive tread blocks and adds to the problem to its tendency to flip over.
Watch this detailed video as I service and go over my front and rear diffs to solve the clicking noise and traction problems that I have been experiencing.

Thank you for the well wishes. I’m sleeping better and stronger but have to use a wheelchair now so making content is hard now
I was looking for the way to service my Vorteks diffs and just learnt that my flipping over the car so easily might not be just my newbie driving skills :D
Just stumbled onto your channel. Nice video here, I have a granite I widened. Love it, just ordered my son the vorteks found it on AliExpress $240 for his 8th birthday. Looking to widen it for him. 🤘🏻
The man has drift tires on
I switch the arms, links, shocks, and tires from my typhon to my Vorteks, Wow what a difference with both cars!
Yes I agree. More stability and less prone to flipping
Over in higher speed turns for me. Glad you did the mod for yourself. Great job!
Not the shocks that was mistake
U look better Cause I know u came out of the hospital god bless u bro
Hope you recover fast my friend!
Thanks for the video buddy , I've watched a few of yours and slowly upgrading mine .
Today found a typhoon rear assembly on eBay so ordered it and then going to use the rpm typhoon for the front so ordered them and the composite links I believe further on to this video you switched yours , also have the trenchers mx28 LP and I'm hoping this will transform the grip level because since upgrading my Vorteks boost to brushless 3650 system and a 80amp esc the car was cornering and slipping out terrible .
Thanks again
Thank you for the video. Great info
The senton & the big rock I oun needed diff case lubing right out of the box common issue you will be amazed out how smooth and quite your rig will be😁 have fun oh and great shocks for the 3s cars are kraton 4s shocks very plush😁
I enjoyed an learned a couple new things
Great video brother. Glad to hear your feeling better.i have the volteks not a big fan of it. Just subscribe 👊👍. I
Thank you! I appreciate you subscribing!
watching this vid cause my front drive is not getting power when on the ground, it spins freely when holding it though. I think i may have stripped a shaft or gears somewhere up front? Anyways thx for the breakdown vid!
I wonder is the 4s outcast body will fit since the wheels are wider now. I really want that body but the wheel hit it too bad but it's close to working.
Rpm a arms are for the v1 bigrock thats why they shorter. The v3 bigrock uses same a arms as the typhoon now. Just order typhoon arms from rpm.
Nice! You know the voltage and amperage specs out of auxiliary? In receiver? BEC?( vorteks 3s) thank you
Only links you need to change for the typhon arms ?
And part number pls thanks
do you know if the metal cv shafts will work with this setup??
I put the arrma kraton 4s arms on my big rock wide rock
Great video! May i ask where to order the red support bar you have????
I got mine off ebay, but had to wait 3 weeks as only the UK had it in stock at the time.
Does the front diff go bad? I know the rear is crap. I put metal in rear. Just wondering.
That sound ur hearing is what I found is the slippery assembly take it out and compare to ur senton 3s. Many people found out that the slippery assembly actually becomes separate almost looks like a bushing. It’s hard to explain. Earl made a hole disassemble video and fix
Thanks for the info but I put in a new slipper assembly as im running an all metal spur gear. I verified the arrma metal spur gear comes with 4 slipper pads as well.
@@watsnu2day did you ever figure this out?
My slipper was slipping because my assembly lossened apart and then grinded together. My assembly ended up all scratched and routed out.
I just got mine brand new, should I lub the diffs? Are you using silicon oil?
I would save the extra work if youre just bashing. If and when the plastic gears go, then do your fluids. Saves you time and you can plan ito install the arrma metal input shaft, alumininum diff housing and diff fluid.
My vorteks is y months old. I was riding yesterday and suddenly hear grinding/slipping when I pull throttle. Do you think it’s rear diff?
Grinding and slipping sounds like the clutches to me.
How did u install that center driveshaft bearing and brace? And what’s the part #?
Ar320529 center brace pins
Ar320531 center brace onnectors
Ara320530 rubber bushing
Ara320528 center brace mounts
200 mm center brace
Ara320533 200mm center brace
How did it work out for you? Do you still run your vortex ?
Yes on 4s only, its a lot of fun! 3s a little slow for me now and 6s i really dont have the room to run where i go..
@@watsnu2day Same here, thanks rc brother
Is there a before and after photo? Cheers.
Sorry, indin have any before and after pictures,..there are so e on 5he facebook Arrma Vorteks forum though
Can the center brace from the kraton 4s fit
No,...I tried the kraton 4s and it's too long...you need the 200mm one...
Ok thanks
Its the one for the outcast 4s
what's the red grease??
It’s called red and tacky. A long lasting synthetic grease. Just be sure to apply with gloves in to avoid getting any in you hands.
How much wider is the typhon arms
I don't know exact length, but it's wide enough to make a difference so not to flip over all the time st.sleed.turns...
