the problem of this movie is they made US pilot ineptitude. Like how are you supposed to see that the protagonist is a badass if their adversary are weak like that.
This is China's Fast & Furious, but for jets. They even do the shifting/afterburner thing.
My god I have SO many problems with this film. Number 1, the J10 is able to track the F35 a lot further then should be usually possible. Now, is it possible for an F35 to be tracked, yeah. It is. But the F35 would know it was being tracked by the J10 thanks to the passive aperture system (I think that's the name?) Which allows the F35 to have a 360 degree situational awareness. Secondly, What the fuck are those maneuvers, why is the F35 REVERSING BACK INTO THE J10S HUD, LIKE WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING. They also copy off several scenes from both Top Gun Maverick and Ace Combat 7, that in itself, is not surprising but it is blatant and lazy. Also the F35C actually can't perform the 'backflip' maneuver shown here. The F35A can but the 'C' (carrier Catobar) variant doesn't have the AOA to do that. Finally, the RWR doesn't specifically tell you that you are locked, but it will give you a series of beeps to let you know. And the Sidewinder tone here is incorrect. The actual sidewinder tone is a growling sound. This film is worse than Ace Combat 7.
Ace Combat 7 isn't realistic, but I love that game 😂. Seriously though, an F35 (avionics wise) can go toe to toe with the apex predator (F22), if anything. The F22 is being upgraded to the latest F35, same as those F15 EX. I know nothing about the J-20, but during that hacker attack during the prototype phases of the F35 (X-35 vs ugly duckling jet), they stole the basic information on the platforms of those jets. Avionics wise, I think the J-20 is no better than the SU-27. Or maybe slightly upgraded. I don't even think the J-20 is even on the levels of a Russian SU-35 in terms of radar detection. F-35 on the other hand is the bee's knees.
When you gotta use a rearview mirror to see the F-35 on your six. Lol.

yea j-20 has 2 engines in the back, is more angular, air intakes are on the side, and it is very big. It looks kinda like a f-22 but with canards and a Delta wing.

Something with the aircraft movements look cheap either too much or too little CGI but either way seems off in many shots

3) The F35 pilots would have seen the J-10 coming from miles away and the J-10 could not have been able to detect them that way

In reality the J-16 and J-20 pilots would have just intercepted and shoo the F-35 pilots away while doing some jet wash turbulence.
If it became a dogfight, the F-35 would have shot down.
