    100% disagree that the safety needs to be used on those pistols.

      It’s a debate in my brain sometimes the trigger is light etc you know I’m guessing that manufacturers put a Manuel thumb safety because of the lack of trigger weight or trigger safeties I might go back to carrying my g26 a lot more comfortable with their trigger safety especially with all these new sub compacts coming on the roster they all come with a thumb safety.

    I totally disagree that because this version of the Max9 has a safety you "have" to use the safety. It still has the trigger safety and the fireing pin safety. If this was a 1911 yes always run the safety. But I completely agree with the training with the firearm you will carry.

    • @evodiovaldovinos7863
      @evodiovaldovinos7863  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Yeah if you practice safe ccw discipline skills and train you can run it hot with a good hoster that covers the trigger what I mean by discipline is the gun never leaves the hoster unless you are training at the range or if the gun has to be used I believe accidents happen when people re hoster or are not careful with trigger discipline like keep that finger off the trigger.

    Thanks for this video! I'm a CA person here and I just put down for a P365. My rationale for the P365 over the MAX-9 are twofold: accessory rail for light and milled slide for optic right out of the box. I'm considering putting a Holsun EPS Carry on it when I get it in hand. I'll add the P365 on my CCW permit when I renew, as I just have my Glock 19.
    I totally agree about the training.
    Good luck and stay safe!

    Just with how the slide is theirs no way to keep the lci and have it cut for a red dot, I learned that lesson when I got my shield cut because I didn't want to pay 275 for a S&W slide, I'm planning on getting the Max 9 since a new cut slide and barrel are only like 100

    i have a p365ca vs with the ms and mag disc. removed...I carry iwb holster with one in the hole. 10 in the mag. I train at 7 yards mag dumping, split times are sub min. Its super fast and safe,with no safety.

    Thank you for the video! I was looking to replace my sight to see if I can fix my aiming issue. I read that other max9 owners also facing the same thing. I had trouble with super low shots, until I started aiming with the front sight above the rear one; so that the top of the slide is even with the top of the rear sight. Then, it was dead on.
    I installed a red dot and also my aim is dead on but I prefer not to use a red dot on my edc. Did you have the same issue I did using the iron sights?

  • @user-fz7pl4zu1e
    @user-fz7pl4zu1e Před 8 měsíci +1

    Thanks for the video. I was hesitant about putting a red dot on my CA Max 9 because of concerns with blowback from that opening that is usually covered by the Loaded Chamber Indicator. So after about 20 rounds, would you say the red dot becomes useless because of the build up on your lense? I wonder if filling up that LCI cut out on the barrel with crazy glue will resolve that issue. Also I'm guessing it's because you are left-handed that makes it more challenging to disengage the safety. I'm a right hander and I've trained myself to disengage the safety as I come up on target with the Shield & Max 9. If the neighborhood I'm in looks a little shady, I will disengage the safety while I'm still holstered.

    • @evodiovaldovinos7863
      @evodiovaldovinos7863  Před 8 měsíci

      Yeah I herd of people filling in that port to prevent that and I just while it down after 20-30 rounds because the screen becomes to blurry and ofcourse before re holstering my gun I make sure it’s clean I carry 10 rounds and a spare mag with 10 rounds if I ever have to use them in a defensive situation no need to clean the screen I’ll be dry on ammo and run lmao
      And lmaoo I do the same I always drop my safety when I’m in a sketchy area and then re engage it for me being left handed it makes it easy maybe I should make a video on left handed pistol manipulation skills I feel I handle a pistol verry well and efficient lol

    You have some valid points, but I never carry with the safety on! I feel it is another level training that you must implement if you carry with the safety on. I have the Max 9 and it is just as good as the P365 and it is way overpriced.

    • @evodiovaldovinos7863

      @@evodiovaldovinos7863 Thank you! I personally believe there is nothing wrong with a safety, but I prefer carry guns with no safety. In my opinion your finger off the trigger is the safety no matter what. Safeties can fail, but trigger discipline never does.

      I got the ca p365 with the safety and magazine disconnect removed. I agree that it's twice the cost of the Ruger. Looking back I wish I got the Ruger instead because the cops take the gun once you use it in a self defense scenario. But I still like the SIG. My problem is that first day I shot it I was having feeding problems getting 2 jams. I may get the Ruger in a couple years, but my wallet says stay with the SIG for CCW.

      I've got both also. In my hands, the Shield grip allows for a 3 finger grip with the flush mag. On the Max 9, my pinky dangles with the flush mag so I prefer the extended base plate, but the gun ends up printing more. Mag capacity is a major plus for the Max 9 as it holds 10+1 vs 7+1 on the Shield. I think the Max 9 shoots better compared to the Shield, especially after swapping out the factory trigger with the Galloway trigger. If you buy a Max 9, carefully inspect the gun you are getting since Ruger has quality control issues. There are complaints about the slide having rust out of the factory and the rear sights being misaligned. That actually happened to my buddy. He kept missing at the range, and when he asked me to take a look, the rear sights were significantly off to the right and it was a pain in the butt to get it centered using a sight pusher.

      @@user-fz7pl4zu1e appreciate you taking time to reply 🙏🏼. Sounds like the max 9 is definitely worth getting. Main reason is to have it for my wife, since shield is to hard for her to handle especially with it being hard to rack and the safety of the max being bigger and probably easier to operate.

    You do not have to use the safety this gun has an I eternal safety, meaning the trigger must be pulled. To combat your safety conversation the ruger 9 max pro does not come with the safety, exact same pistol.

    I have a question for you. I purchased the same exact hidden hybrid holster for my Ruger Max 9 and mine has a lot of trigger exposed on the backside of the holster.
    Does your holster have the same trigger exposure as well? It’s a great quality holster, but I was thinking about returning it, because of the exposed trigger.
    Hybrid holsters are comfortable, but I have always opted for full Kydek holsters because hybrid holster have always had this issue.

      It does have some trigger exposure but not to much and the exposure is towards the leather so it covers it up I haven’t had any issue with the hoster

What are you gonna do? Wait wait let me take the safety off bro get used to carrying your gun with no safety on just like getting used to carrying one in the chamber

    Why would you put a red dot on a conceal carry weapon? Wouldn’t it be better on a full size pistol? You’re spending extra on a gun that will be taken away from you if you use it. You should carry a gun you’re not going mind being confiscated.
