The reason Claudia Doumit (Neuman) looks like she's about to laugh at the end there is because she's fighting so hard not to break character. Eric Kripke (the showrunner) came out yesterday and said that they set her up on set during filming.. she had no fucking clue that the butthole jumpscare was coming - old girl was fighting hard not to laugh.

We got the baby arm like in Deadpool. Homelander using his x ray vision to see the rotting of butchers brain. Like he said before it would be like putting down a wounded dog. There is no real challenge there anymore. Which is why he says I am going to miss us. Butcher doesn’t have much time. I’m the comics he had a ticking clock but that was a limit on time to execute a master plan not that he was dying
If she was my daughter, I would have done the same. If not strong enough to defeat a supe, at least strong enough to defend herself and run away. I also do not like how Hughie called her a mosnter. That's something Butcher would have said. Calling a monster is the same as calling Starlight a monster.
I think he referred to her anatomy being like a monster's, not to the fact of having V in itself in her bloodstream. Vicky knows the risks and Hughie just says they aren't worth taking.
An exponential response is never justified. Even "eye for an eye" only calls for throwing the bottle back at the guy. In fact, the more you think about it, the less justified it becomes

They didn’t have to do the whole Homelander clone thing from the comics but I’d have loved to see the old Noir take on a vigilante role after being betrayed. Not with the Boys but finally away from Vought too.
