    Not only Rodtang is still the man but a real gentleman and #1 class fighter. Someone who the fighters and fans should look up to.

    the last fight, Rodtang vs Kaonar, didn't understand why Rodtang lose... escaping, running and hugging made him win?

      Yeah, I agree. Huge respect to both fighters but Kaonar got hurt at the end and basically just smothered and tackled to survive. Felt it was pretty even but Rodtang pulled it off at the end. Wanted to fight and was landing the better shots.

      It’s because punches basically give 0 points in muay thai unless they knock down/knock out the opponent. Kicks, elbows, knees, and dumps all score really well on the other hand. Rodtang would land a flurry of punches but Kaonar would win the exchange by landing one kick at the end. It’s just how muay thai is scored which is why I prefer kickboxing (muay thai is great too though).

    The other difference between มวยไทย fighters and UFC is UFC fighters can be champions after 30-40 bouts under their belts (some even less) whereas Thai boxers will do at least 100+ to craft their techniques/arts and able to achieve something in their lives (money aside). That’s why Thai boxing is much appreciated these days. Also, those in the West who loves Thai boxing you need to learn Thai language because it makes Thai boxing more interesting and exciting. Listening to these Western commentators are just like……………………….

    Listening to these dumbos praise the taller guy when all he did is hug to survive is amazing. The guy was hugging to save his life and they keep saying he's winning, he's amazing, bla bla bla. Can't they see the guy can't even throw a punch or kick the whole round 5 and they still say he wins these round.

  • @thecontainerthecontents6889

    honestly, Rodtang doesn't look as sharp as fights prior to superlek. Maybe it's a mental thing. But he looks slower, and a bit less confident in there. And this opponent was a mismatch, past Rodtang would've crushed him. Rodtang throws everything wide and looping, he needs to develop straighter punches or this same tactic will be effective against him every time going forward. He doesn't look the same to me. His aura tarnished now.

  • @Diminish12

    The first fight is the main reason Muay Thai will never be as famous as UFC. These fighters stop fighting in the last round when they know they are down. In the Western world they would of been booed the whole time. We have all seen one shot can change the outcome of a fight the fact these fighters don't give it there all, all the time is a main factor why they won't be as big as it could be. Rodtang actually goes all the way even if he's losing that's why he's loved by all fans win or lose cause they fights for every single round win or lose. Every other fighter needs to take notice of that.

    • @mikeoxlong6137
      @mikeoxlong6137 Před měsícem +43

      they take the last round off because these guys fight much much more often than ufc fighters. a lot of them will already have another fight scheduled even while training for another fight. they fight for pennies compared to the ufc and fight tofeed their families. if they know theyre down they will accept the loss rather than get hurt and not be able to fight in another two weeks. dont make a comment like this when youre incredibly uninformed, dont be obnoxious.

      @@mikeoxlong6137 you incredibly obnoxious for thinking no one knows about Muay Thai except for certain people. This guy is the kind of people you always see in the Muay Thai comments when giving an Opinion. You don't have to agree with my comment but you taking offensive is your personal sensitive. What I claim it's facts. These fighters will get booed doing hence why they will never make it to be as big as UFC and I even added Rodtang as someone who is literally going to fight soon and he did not try to slow down on the last round So your response becomes more irrelevant.
      These guys get overly sensitive when anyone brings up criticism against Muay Thai claiming people have a lack of Knowledge. Muay Thai is not a difficult sport to figure out neither are the rules. If people haven't been to Thailand you can literally find it here on CZcams. If you understand know the rules of any Sports Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer etc. Muay Thai Rules are less complicated then that, but you get sensitive Nancy's that think no one knows the secret rules of Muay Thai. Learn to accept criticism and stop acting like your the only person that understands Muay Thai.

      @@Diminish12 I’ve lived in Thailand all my life and my life revolves around the sport your point is so ignorant that it is funny. At the end of the day you’ll scoff at this thinking I’m wrong when you have no clue what you’re saying. Stay as a sweaty nerd in a comment section, you wrote a whole essay to reply to me with no facts at all 😂😂😂

      I think the main reason is due to fraud in scoring matches, Thai people are often favored, organizers and referees always find ways to help Thai people win.
