Hi Dr. Berry. My doctor is not keto friendly. I am near 70 yrs old and have been keto for 2 1/2 years. Yes my ldl is high but I've given my dr. the report on high ldl on keto diet. He now knows that statins are not for me so he stopped pushing them. I'm off of 7 prescriptions, mostly for arthritic pain, and I feel great. Love your videos, God bless your beautiful family.

It is gum tissue related, dentists are taught that gum disease is ireversible and progressive, dr jordan petertson has some video on this condition and macular degenetation, also irreversible. They are both reversible, given given the infinite number of pathways to the cliff edge of disease, PHD will improve just about every condition unless there are other confounding issues at play. Time will heal given the proper human ingestion of nutrition. One solution too the meat gum irriation is fatty hambuger bought in 5 lb or 10 lb tubes. And simply, a tooth pick or floss will remove the jammed pieces of meat between the teeth.

My guess would be retinoic acid or similar. Oxalates would more likely result in a buildup of calculus on teeth. Vitamin A or copper could cause teeth pain as your body detoxes previous excesses. Either way, I hope you continue to get more healthy!

My dentist told me that meat is the worse food for getting stuck between teeth then putting pressure on the teeth. Flossing will not always get the meat out but proxabrushes will. Almost every time I eat meat, not hamburger or fish, I brush with the proxabrush and pull out pieces of meat and it stops the tooth pain.

INSOMNIA ON CARNIVORE - SOLUTION for me. This is from one guy on another forum, worked for me. He said, "right before bed I take a pat of butter, sleep like a baby." I heppened to have tallow from Grazin. I take three of those; now I sleep. When I run out, butter will be next. Carnivore gave me insomnia bad. Fat before bed helps me sleep. I thank God for the random dude on that other channel. Edit add: this is so important, this sleep thing, I'm gonna say this over and over, so if you see it again, have patience. INSOMNIA SUCKS BAD. That’s because your cortisol goes up and gluconeogenesis starts. Carnivore insomnia is due to low sugar in the body. Butter keeps it stable and lowers cortisol allowing you to sleep. Same when people eat some carbs before bed ;)

MiniMoe is reporting to have no weight loss on 2 months of eating meat, eggs and butter. I suspect two possibilities. Many people hope to see a net loss of weight, but it's much more important to change the composition of the body. Some people while loosing inches from their waist may actually gain weight by way of gaining muscle mass. So make sure you eat enough protein, exercise twice a week, move daily and your body composition will change to lean muscle and loss of excess fat. It's a shame that so many people hung up on the weight. I suggest people stop using scales all together and do measurement of waist circumference or tissue composition scan (available for cheap in some gyms)

I really want more research or another video about dairy. I wish I remembered her name, but I was just watching a carnivore couple. The wife went thru her whole pregnancy eating a tub of yogurt a day (not even joking) along with whatever meat they had and looks amazing, before and after the baby. Never seen someone bounce back so fast. Her husband on the other hand can only eat raw/natural cheese or he has stomach issues.
I hated milk before carnivore and now my mouth waters for it during my period, even after going 3months BBBE. I've always loved cheese and lost soooo much weight on keto, and most of my diet was cheese/fat if I'm being honest. it wasn't even raw cheese. The only reason I cut it out was because everyone in the carnivore space (but a few) say its bad, and I wanted to know if it was causing acne.
I've been testing out "Fat Theory" because I keep hearing people say your body can only absorb so much fat before it comes out in the toilet and it doesn't make you fat - cheese is mostly fat. I've experimented with pork belly, butter, and a block of cheese. I ate until I felt sick and the next morning I either lose weight (Insaaannee), or stay the same. Everything else comes out in the toilet, no bloating, no issues. No acne. BUT TO BE CLEAR I do not eat cheese every day, I eat so much better and eggs I don't really want it unless I'm having a burger or its close to my period. Sometimes I'm not really hungry and just want a little snack and its always a butter latte, or slices of cheese. I also feel like humans have been fermenting cheese for YEARS and yea it can be addictive to some people but there is so many vitamins and nutrients in cheese and yogurt. Obviously if you are eating a block of cheese a day you have a problem. But even still I know some carnivore people who drink PINTS of heavy cream and lost weight. So how is that okay and cheese isn't T_T

Dr. Berry. Your response to Eli's question on kidney stones needs to expanded. Yes oxalate stones wouldn't happen however you can develop uric acid kidney stones on carnivore if you are overeating protein (or lean protein). A supersaturation event of uric acid in the kidneys can rapidly form uric acid stones, which can be directly related protein wasting.

@boink800 Hi end athletes (not jogging or basic strength based). I've seen people perform well on carnivore. I myself was carnivore for 2 years and was able to hit well over 100,000 steps in day walking, when it comes to performance though carbs seem to be king. They replenish glycogen at an unprecedented rate and for this reason alone lead to better performance for "hi end" athletes (think Olympics, sprinting where they consume upto 10,000kcal a day, marathon runners running at World record pace. They use carbs not to "bonk"/replenish glycogen, increase muscle size (short termaybe but still a small increase), and balance electrolytes (again from an athletes perspective, and it's not %100 required but there seems to be a marked increase in performance with carbs vs without). Also I think I've heard it mentioned that women benifit more from fiber (from fruit😊) for the gut microbiota. And I think people should have carbs during pregnancy (whole foods, healthy). ❤
