The Innocents (1961 UK) is one of my favorite horror films of all time. .I love how the movie portrays its ghosts in a subtle manner.

I’m now really into Christopher Nolan’s films “Interstellar” and “Inception” (went there for music, but found out the movie concepts are quite intriguing). (I don’t watch horrors, but I like spiritual movies.)
I also recommend “The Haunting of…” (featuring Kim Russo), “Seatbelt Psychic” (featuring Tomas John), “Long Island Medium” (featuring Theresa Caputo). They are mediums, and they can give you insights into world of spirits 👻👽

    This theme was so interesting!
It was nice point of view to know the difference between Japanese and American horror films. As you know Culturally, we Japanese don’t express directly, we read from line? atmosphere.
I personally feel scared to something unknown, invisible thing.
By the way there is a tunnel near where I used to live, (Kamakura)called Kotsubo Tunnel connecting Kamakura and Zushi.
My father who was very aggressive and didn’t believe any ghosts or unscientific things, once got lost in there when he went for a long walk.
He felt something so weird, and couldn’t continue walking anymore and he turned back home.
After that we came to know that tunnel was famous place for being haunted .
There is a crematorium above the tunnel.
Since then, every time we went through that tunnel by car I could hardly open my eyes! 😅

Austin, I love Ringu, too. Did you notice that Hiroyuki Sanada, who played Takayama in Ringu, is Toranaga in Shogun?
