    Thank you for this very lucid presentation. It addresses all the questions I had on how to prepare cross sections from a multi-layer model. It is very effective, simple and powerful.

    Nice presentation, thanks a lot. I am going to purchase this software before that I need to know following points;
    1) Why VTK files created from Paraview are not getting accepted in this software.
    2) How do I create profile from 3D volume like from X Y Z & Copper to display copper at different Z.

      Greetings,
      Thanks for your comment! I'm unsure why a VTK from Paraview would not load correctly in Surfer. We've heard a few reports of this, though, and would like to investigate further. Please send us a copy of one of these VTK files to support@goldensoftware.com so our development team can take a closer look at the file.
      You could add an Image Slice to a 3D Grid to act as a profile. To do so, create a 3D View from your 3D Grid. Then, click Tools | Add to 3D Grid | Image Slice to create the Image Slice. You can adjust the orientation and position of the Image Slice using the Properties window.
      Feel free to reach out to our support team directly if you have any additional questions.

      Hi there!
      This tutorial was done using Surfer 22. However, we highly recommend taking advantage of the latest version, Surfer 27!

    Why is it that when I add a base for each layer, the base overlaps the layer below it, causing lines and not solid? and when I create a profile it only makes like one layer?

      Hi Manikho,
      Thank you for your comment. If you unzip and open the .srf file from this link: support.goldensoftware.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410688770331 in a version of Surfer that is compatible with profiles there shouldn't be an issue. If the issue continues please reach out to support@goldensoftware.com and provide a screenshot of the error you are receiving.
