Did the same got my tickets to a concert at red rocks in September! Going solo & im happy can’t wait :)
Colorado is great!
Was there last year, it was pretty amazing.... the air was very clean
Love Mexican Food!
it's one of my all time favorites!
you are not alone. you have us, your subscriber's.
very true!
since you are in Denver you should try to go to Casa Bonita. The food is not the best, but you go for the atmosphere and the sopapillas. if you are a south park fan, yes Casa Bonita actually exists.
Aw I wish I could've gone there! Have wanted to check it out for years because of South Park! haha
Way over rated better yet if you come back to Denver Wrigley s Field is awesome not yuppified but good sports restaurant with great food at reasonable Prices. You can take the W lightrail line from Downtown Denver and then cross 6th Avenue to the bike path and walk 10 mins to Colfax and then west to where Colfax turns into hwy 40..And on the south side before it curves you are at the bar!!! If you drive just go past Colorado Mills on Colfax and keep going...after you can go around the curve up 40 and eventually get to Red Rocks or take a bus from Origin Red Rocks Hotel 18485 W Colfax so not far from Wrigley s
I will be going to Red Rocks by myself for the first time this summer, as this venue has been on my bucket list for years now. The whole “going alone” thing resonated with me as well. Hoping I have an amazing feeling about it like you did!
In the 70s and 80s I climbed the rocks and never paid for a concert to this day it is still the best place for concerts
So cute😉😍💘😜
I love right next to red rocks
lucky!
Mari Johnson love you and your work keep it up!
This is a great video. I am taking my wife and daughter to red rocks for the first time. For over 30 years I wanted to see a concert there. I like the idea of staying in Denver and taking a bus. What Hostile and Bus service did you use. You were there on my birthday when you signed the wall. Cheers! Going to see Widespread Panic. I subscribed. Peace.
Thanks for posting this. I’ll be there for Kraftwerk at the end of the month and I was wondering what time did you checkin and board the bus at Union Station? Any tips would help. Cheers!
Yaay I love Bastille! I think that's great when you are able ton enjoy your time alone! So important
Agreed!!
I love how humble person you're!
This vlog is full of awesome! You're the BEST!
aww thanks! :)
Yay! You made it.
glad you enjoyed Y O U R time here.
I enjoy solo missions also.
I saw Bastille last year at Leeds Festival, they were incredible!
Wow...Everytime I look at you, I get a feeling that..yes .this is the person that I've always wanted to be like.. But for the near future, it's like impossible for me.... so yeah... I watch your videos and try to feed my hunger of traveling..❤
P.S. I love you, Mari.. and your videos just make me wanna leave everything behind and go travel...👀
idk if my English did the justice to my feelings..😁
Hi Manbeena! Thank you for the comment and I really hope you get to travel one day. In the meantime, I am happy to give you your dose of travel :) All my best to you. xo
Great video Mari, Colorado looks amazing, can't wait for your New Zealand trip, have fun!
Thanks!
While you're in Denver, you should hit up Voodoo Donuts, Argonaut Liquors, and the Nob Hill Inn on Colfax - Colfax has tons of really cool dive bars. Cherry Creek a couple miles to the south has great shopping. But be careful walking downtown alone late at night. It's not a very safe place to be after 9 o'clock at night.
I'll remember these for next time!
What happens after 9PM?
It's not as bad as people say
Classic Mari with your library at the end :)
haha yep!
Awesome video. Definitely agree about solo travel!
Really

I am going to Thailand in 2 weeks alone :) And I so happy about it. Different view on everything. Exciting!
Woo! I'm excited for you! Have fun!
Traveling to Denver myself for the same exact reason. Love the video, helped me get an idea of what it'll be like!
Have so much fun!!
The concert looked amazing!
It was!
My city🤘🏽
Whaaaat?!!! What an amazing venue!!
I'm going to Denver next month! Loved this vlog Mari :)
Aw thanks girl! Have the best time!!! xo
I go everywhere with
OMG I'm from Denver. I hope you had the most amazing time. If you ever come back, let me know I would love to host you (I'm an airbnb host)... but I also won't be back till after thanksgiving because I'm solo traveling in europe 😉
Gabrielle Larson I've been wanting to rent an AirBnB in Las Vegas for a week around CES in January What information do they need? What is the standard protocol? Do they conduct background checks on people?
Ah cool thanks! Have so much fun in Europe!!!
JMMT7022801 well it's pretty easy to sign up,I think they just require your ID info and ask you to verify your email and Facebook. But it's all based on reviews and what your profile says about yourself. You should try it, I think you would really like it.
Gabrielle Larson I'm in Salt Lake City. I have an aunt in Bountiful that lives a couple miles to the north of me. She's an AirBnB host and has 3 different rooms to rent out for like $63 a night.
JMMT7022801 yep so all places are different. Some are cheaper and some more expensive.
I can't wait until you finally make it out here to NZ! I've dedicated myself to finding a new waterfall every week. See you soon!
I live in Denver😱😱
BTW, where did you get your sunglasses?! love them!
Urban Outfitters on sale for $2.99!
YO I WAS IN THE VIDEO
dude! i'm in denver 😁 red rocks is sick. i saw mac demarco and tame impala last month there
Great city you've got there!
If you can across the Valley in Golden is Dakota/Dinosaur Ridges with great hiking and a side trail to dinosaur footprints
👍👌🏻✈✈✈✈✈✈what an adventure you're having. I enjoy traveling alone as well... lots of times more than with company. Gotta see Red Rocks one of these days. Great Vlog as always Capt.
Yeah solo travel becomes addicting, doesn't it?! Hope you make it to Red Rocks!
I gotta ask, did you hit what they were passing around on that bus???? Be honest lol
aw that's so fun to see you enjoying some places I spent so much time at in Colorado! That Hostel looks so amazing.. and now im Jonesin for Illegal Pete's. I can't wait wait to hear about your experience up in the mountains
yeah it was such a good trip! Colorado really is amazing!
Hi Mari! This is one of my favorite videos. You sure inspire me to travel, and that solo travel is a cool thing to do. I been wanting to visit Denver for sometime now, definitely going to check that hostel. Best wishes in New Zealand. :-)
I love your videos! Denver and the surrounding areas are one of my favorite places to travel to. Golden has some nice hiking trails with amazing views and you can see where the Buffalo roam. if you're into tea, check out the Celestial Seasonings HQ in Boulder. They offer free tastings and a really cool free tour of the facility. The store there has lots of tea and nicknacks for cheap!! enjoy your travels!
Ah I wish I knew about the tea place before! Sounds cool!
Very kool Video
Embracing the solo travel! awesome. I want to go on another trip by myself, one of the first times I traveled by myself, was crazy to say the least. I was reported missing by my hotel lol long story. Even so, I can't wait to go on another trip solo and learn from those past experiences.
haha oh man, must've been a good time! I'm glad you're okay! :) xo
Hi Mari, I am going on my first solo trip to Colorado this Oct. I would love to stay at the hostel you were at. what is the name?
Awesome, I'm excited for you! It was called Hostel Fish :)
The one activity I dislike when I am by myself is eating in a restaurant. I have traveled for work and many times they were solo trips so not a big deal doing solo activities but sitting in a restaurant I get very self conscious that I am alone. Are there any travel activities that you are very aware that you are traveling alone? 🤔. Love the videos. Happy travels. 😀
Mainly just when I vlog alone do I still feel awkward sometimes. I actually don't mind eating alone!
I was wearing the wrong shoes trying to climb a red rock in my dream; don’t know if that’s the red rock in Denver or somewhere else…Found your video.
Are you still traveling alone ?
Be careful, it might be dangerous.
Peace on earth.
Omg girl you're in denver! You're so close loved to see you but I probably won't haha! My mom is actually visiting me and we were supposed to go to Denver today. Have fun over here! :) maybe I'll still run into you lol
Your trip looks awesome!! I was wondering if you went alone . Girl you give me the strengths to do so many solo trips anytime I am doubting myself .
In San Diego we have Snooze as well , there is only Colorado and San Diego location, the food is good ;-)
So I don't know if I live under the rock but for some reason I thought you can only stay in hostels overseas. Someone ing time ago has told me that You have to have to be foreigner to be able to stay in a hostel , maybe I got the wrong information. And what i mean by that is that lest say if I want to stay in a hostel in US I need to have EU passport or any other passport but USA . I have no idea...
Yeah I think that might have been a rule a while ago. Or you had to at least be from a different state. Doesn't seem to be the case now though! Hostels also used to be mainly for "youth," but that's also no longer the case. I'm so happy they're progressing! And yes, Snooze was very good!
Ah man, I missed first like by 1...I'll take 2nd place :)
Such a stupid game....hey mommy I was first
Holly s@#$% i thought red rock was a beer!
That s Rolling Rock but Coors beer has a plant in downtown Golden with a tour and a beer at the end
I'd probably start getting depressed if I didn't have someone to share my traveling experiences with.
The One they call Brian Dude. I hear ya. I would so love to travel with Mari, and get lost in those big, beautiful, sparkly brown eyes of hers. 😊
