MWAFREEKA - I CAN AFFORD LAND IN TEXAS BUT NOT NAIROBI ( IKO NINI )

Mwafreeka invites Patrick Ng'ang'a on Iko Nini, a Kenyan who has lived in Texas for twenty years and currently running an LLC agency and a Financial Business master's graduate, to discuss more on land as Mwafreeka declares that he can afford land in Texas but not in Nairobi. This episode of Iko Nini tackles a hot topic: "I Can Afford Land in Texas But Not in Nairobi - Mwafreeka declares".
Mwafreeka and Patrick Ng'ang'a explore the surprising reality that $50,000 can buy you an acre of land in the vast plains of Texas, with the wind whispering through the trees and birds singing a sweet symphony. Imagine it - wide open spaces, fresh air, and the peace of nature - all potentially more affordable than a similar plot in Nairobi!
But hold on, there's more to the story. Legally, Texas has a long history of private land ownership, which combined with its vast size, helps keep land prices relatively stable. Compare this to Nairobi, where a booming population and limited space have driven land prices sky-high.
So, why the discrepancy? It boils down to supply and demand. Texas has a lot of land, while Nairobi has very little.
    The Dream vs. Reality
Now, before you pack your bags for Texas, there's a crucial point to consider. While $50,000 might buy you an acre, developing that land can be another story entirely. Depending on location, infrastructure like water and electricity might not be readily available, adding significant costs.
    The Final Verdict
The choice between Texas and Nairobi depends on your goals. Texas offers affordability, and space, but may require more development investment. Nairobi boasts a vibrant city life, but land comes at a premium.
Ultimately, the decision is yours. But this episode of Iko Nini has hopefully opened your eyes to the possibilities beyond your doorstep, and the factors that influence land prices around the world. Let us know in the comments what you would choose, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more insightful discussions!

If you invest over $800k in US you're eligible for a EB-5 visa which will lead you to acquiring a green card. All land in the US, except native American land, you have to pay property taxes every year depending on the valuation of that land. This is one of the main reasons why land and properties are not over valued.

Dallas_Mashamba is not talking about property tax that the government will tax you continuously even if you not developing that land, again.. he says you can build a house 300k and sell it at 600k... bro in USA it doesn't work that way.. property is valued too according to location and closest amenities available; security, weather and many other factors determine the market price!! DETROIT kuna keja ya $50k but weeeh... ile kipindi utakua umejiweka imeshinda riparian lands in Nairobi City!! THINK TWICE!!

Buying land away from the city can be tricky. There are very many abandoned properties with houses, pools, and lakes, yet no one wants them because of the commute to the city.
It may be worthwhile to hold on to the land until the city comes to you.
I know someone who owned a lot of land and was offered lots of money for it, but he declined to sell. He died of old age about a year ago. He had no family in the US, so your guess is as good as mine as to what happened to his property.
