leo struggles here and there but I liked how in depth these two got about actual gameplay and decision making. it was one of the better ones in that regard
Leo did a fantastic job holding down the fort during Maister's absence, but we need another episode with our guest and newly minted champion ShinyMark since this felt like the conversation for him as the Goat Talk team records Maister's journey to his eventual major win. You always learn so much from ShinyMark, especially his points on what to look out for when playing against Steve and the emphasis on playing patiently. S Factor 11's Grand Finals is the most optimized I've ever seen Smash Bros Ultimate played. The combos were devastating, the edgeguarding took place everywhere on the screen including under the stage, and it was exciting the entire time. With how far Mark and Sonix pushed each of the characters' advantage states and combo games, it's no wonder you guys were locked into neutral so often.
Around 2020-21, I thought that Campy Pika could be up there with Campy Joker and Mythra as super strong. Glad to see Shiny Mark prove this, even if I wish the timer was 4 or 5 minutes.
it may seem counterintuitive, but if the timer is reduced that much it will probably make camping more prevalent, because timeouts will be more viable to go for.
@@OpinionatedGamer I would agree with Charles when he argued a while back that players are just going to naturally time each other out in certain matchups, no matter what the timer is. Shortening the timer makes those super campy/uninteractive matchups far better in my view as it improves the pacing.
I think this is just more of what we saw at the Mexico tournament. Not a whole lot new per se, but better execution towards a powerful strategy that people aren't ready to deal with.

Steve doesn’t need to catch you, in fact he wants you to camp him, while still having the 0-80s, and 0-deaths. Optimized pika can take care of optimized kazuya, but there is no character in the game that could ever touch optimized Steve.
This one of those one and done situations. Sonix is top 2-3 in the world. This guy just happened to have a good set vs Sonix. Once Sonix studies the mu he don’t lose again. Shiny like a riddles, shadic, type one and done.
I don’t understand… I thought you can use the Nintendo Pro Controller “Wired” using a USBc to USBa cable. Why not just buy a ten foot or more cable and just plug it in always? No sync issues

And I get it man people don't get what it takes to win and shiny mark really reminds me of sonix in the way they just have that dog in them where they want to win above all else. Both of them are by far the best with their character and yes they can be very campy if it's what is necessary but even if they weren't they'd still be way better than all the other players of their character. But shit at the end of the day people can say what they want but no one really cares about anything but 1st and shinymark and sonix are winners and it takes mad discipline to be able to do that in tourney especially when you can go in and maybe it'll work out but it's not the smartest play a lot of the time and you could just lose from one miscalculated approach. And Mkleo recognizes this and gives a great interview to shinymark. My fav one yet guys keep it up

That’s the most optimal way to play pikachu. Best way to beat him is to play the same strategy. Force him to come to you, because characters like pikachu are at a disadvantage when on the offensive

@@1stbestpokemaster Kazuya is also still nowhere near optimized. In any given situation, EWGF, grab, nair, etc at 0-15% has a true kill combo.
