Maybe you bought a bad splitter? I saw some for 1-2$ and they wouldn't work for sure. My advice, try the headset on your PC to see if the Mic is working. If it works, then it's the splitter that doesn't work and you need to buy a newer/better splitter. Always look at the reviews for the products you want to buy, especially the cheap ones.
I have a adapter like that star tech one but I got mine at the dollar tree and I tried to use it and only my headset worked but both will work on my pc when I use the adapter so any help

If this makes sense to anybody. The problem people are having myself included is the this "Y" splitter works only for the headset sound 3.5mm plug in and the mic 3.5mm plug in, even though connected and plugged in just like the headset sound does not work. So we are getting the in-game sound and players mic talk through our headsets but when we talk directly into our mics no one can hear us, even though it's plugged in right. Sometimes the mic will work though which is really strange but the next time you go to use the mic and sound after turning off and on our Xbox ones the mic will not be working but the ingame sound will be. So what we are asking is the "Y" splitter in ur video fixing this problem with our mics working and not working sometimes? Does it always make both in game sound and your mic work Everytime it's plugged in? Or does your mic sometimes not work? Thanks
Late reply but those splitters from Walmart are only good for splitting audio. On the male end, it’ll have 3 lines if it’s compatible with the microphone. Some headsets have a usb connection, otherwise get a splitter that is guaranteed to work with microphone. Hope this helped.

My Logitech g533 is currently paired to work on my laptop. But it also when I had the headphone Port plugged in or the USB port thing plugged into the laptop it would work on my Xbox and my laptop. But now that I work on the road I tried to plug the port into my Xbox are the USB deal into my Xbox to pair it to the Xbox and now it won't even work. I don't know how to freaking reset it. I've tried to hold the volume button or the button down to pair it and it won't pair. Absolutely tried it a million times

Most of the questions are about the firmaware\ driver upgrade... if it works with 7.1 or not and the rest is about your headset being damaged mainly. If it is not working you need to ship it back to seller. Especially if you treat this pair of factory cost 5 dollars items like it was a fresbee .. yes in that case it won't work... It's really a good pair I see most of people bought it and it's actually one of the lowest price guaranteeing to use this quality (relative) sound... After all logitek is a guarantee.
