Yes. Her rap part in "The Girls" is really fun. I remember when it came out a lot of people were surprised that they decided to put it in an animated video used as a theme for a game, instead of in one of their album songs. I also really like her rapping in "Love to Hate Me", in "Crazy for You", in "Typa Girl" and many others. Her melodic rapping in "Shoong!" is also great.

They really didn’t change the way you’re alluding to at that time, this is just a switch from their often “BLΛƆK” (swag) songs then as now. This “PIИK” type song is one I actually like a lot, even though I’d normally never gravitate to this bubblegum pop type song as you mentioned too. Rosé’s first verse is a great switch to the rhythm.. And Jennie is the glue to everything. They all hit it at various times but Lisa’s chorus “majimakcheoreom” and her rap are undeniably incredible 🔥👍🖤💜🖤💜
You'll hear BLINKS describe BLACKPINK songs as either "BLACK" or "PINK", according to the sound and style of the music. AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST was the song that began the trend, although BLACKPINK had never assigned a "color" to their songs except for this one, and quite accidentally started the trend.:
A company press release, posted right after the group debuted in 2016, stated: "The meaning of BLACKPINK aims to contradict the common perception of the color pink. Pink is commonly used to portray prettiness, but BLACKPINK actually means to say that 'Pretty isn't everything'. It also symbolizes that they are a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talent."
That's the basis for the group. Now that we know that:
The group debuted on August 8, 2016 with two songs, BOOMBAYAH and WHISTLE. Both were huge hits. Two months later on October 31, 2016 they had their first comeback with PLAYING WITH FIRE and STAY. After that they kind of disappeared from the public eye except for award shows. It wasn't until June 22nd, 2017 that they appeared again with one song, an upbeat bop called AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST.
One hour before the music video dropped on CZcams the group had a "Live Countdown Show" where they talked about the video and how excited they were. Jennie tried to describe the song without giving away spoilers. She said "We were nervous about releasing this song because it was different from our previous songs." She awkwardly was trying to come up with a way to describe it and said "It's more of a ...."pink" song than the others, it was uncomfortable filming it because we had to smile and in previous videos the CEO told us to look fiercely into the camera."
Fans took that comment and ran with it, categorizing every song as either "Black" or "Pink". Neither the group nor their company had created the labels, it was entirely fanmade, and in reality it's a mess because everyone uses their personal taste to label a song either BLACK or PINK.
...so in closing the only song that the group actually named by color is AS IF ITS YOUR LAST.
