Honestly the “make Abby like them” thing is pretty easy to explain. It could easily be not a lie, but a misinterpretation. Vanessa thinks they’re trying to make Abby “like” them as in “similar to” them, when really they’re trying to make Abby “like” them as in “enjoy being with” them. Big difference there between ghosts doing a spook out of pure rage and lost children’s souls seeking the companionship of another kid who could understand them

I've also wrote this under FuhNaff's and IDsFantasy's videos about the trailer but... I wanted to hear more opinion about this:
I've noticed that Micheal listens to Williams's voice, but he does not meet with him in person. He doesn't see his face.
It could be possible that he's still Micheal Afton, who either got adopted or his mum remarried, and that's why he has a dad who is not Wiliam.
This could've happened enough time ago to make him forget his father's voice and they never met again (William may have gone into hiding, and that's why he has a fake name, one that Mike can't recognize)
Maybe the big reveal of this movie will be the "I am your father" Darth Vader style with Springtrap and Mike
I think it’s the normal spring bonnie suit not spring trap. Also, it could be ruined and torn because in the second game phone guys says “they used an old suit in the back”

They definitely showed regular spring Bonnie, but there was a split second, blink-and-you-miss-it frame that was definitely post-springlock accident. Unless they included that as some kind of dream (just typing dream in relation to fnaf makes me shudder a bit lol)
Yeh I'm wondering if part of the story will include Afton went from wearing the suit, the springlocks being sprung, and him becoming springtrap.

Willy using the suit to disguise himself from the other animatronics goes crazy in the context of the fnaf 3 springlocking scene- he puts on his disguise to get the kids to back off, to stop seeing him as a threat, but because he took their animatronic bodies their vision is unclouded
I've seen a few people saying they want a post-credit scene with MatPat as a detective saying something like "I have a theory", but I think that would be kinda lame.
What I would like to see is Vanessa trying to convince her superiors to help, and as soon as she says something about having a theory, her superior (MatPat) turns around and says "You don't want to go down that rabbit hole"
Firstly, that’s brilliant, write for cinema. Secondly, my pitch for a post credit scene is more sinister. We recreate the Sister Location trailer by showing close ups of familiar looking animatronic parts, before the Funtimes turn on one by one as the camera zooms in on Circus Baby as her green eyes light up.
i have this bizarre speculation that we might witness william's death. it feels apropos that we not only get the revelation that the missing children's incident happened, but also get hit with the brick when the spring bonnie suit is shown in the trailer. it could give us a better understanding of when sister location happened and a sensible reason why william was just stuck in the back of a dilapidated fnaf location for 30 years and only brought back in fnaf3. people thought he was dead, but michael found out hes actually still alive and goes to the fnaf3 location to burn him, but instead william just comes back for fnaf6. throws alot on the table, but hey. thats just my speculation

Another option as to why Vanesa says that Abby is in danger from the animatronics: She's lying.
Like in the games, she knows who the real threat is, and she's (reluctantly) on his side. It would also explain her chill almost playful attitude towards the situation.

That’s actually not an eviction notice. If you read the fine print, it says ‘child support or other court ordered payment’. Our boy Mike is on parol, and owes monetary compensation for beating the crap out of the guy in the mall. Either to that guy or he got fined instead of doing jail time, he can’t go to jail cuz of Abbey. So the question is why did he beat that guy up and how will it relate back to fazbear…. (haven’t finished the video yet so apologies if this is brought up 😅)
I have a theory the guy Mike beats up can be connected to bite of 83 (maybe he was with Michael and CC there and triggered Mike's memories) or called him out on being an Afton?
@@harveyjmort I agree, either the bite incident or Mike witnessed something else at Fazbears and this guy triggered a PTSD response. Maybe his memories are repressed, or not. Like he saw a guy with a kid, and PTSD brain made him think something nefarious was going on.
As for the bite - I just can't get over Abbey's connection to the crying child... she has so many striped shirts...

Theory: The animatronics wanted to make Abby "one of them" because Mike is an adult, and as established in the games, animatronics (and maybe the spirits) only attack adults.
I think the animatronics want to stuff Abby into Golden Freddy
Also in Silver Eyes possesed animatronics are only attacking adults, and they are kidnaping the only child that is here because they want to protect him from those adults. So maybe they want to kidnap Abby because they want to protect her from adults too?
The taxi scene is in front of Mike's house, just compare, they are going to the pizzeria. And you got it right, the person being dragged is Michael in that hall, he also seems hurt in the back

If that is how things go down, it could mean we may see the bite of ‘87 or something similar. There is the shot of Mike seeing a young boy in the back of a car that doesn’t seem to be any of the ghost kids. It’s possible that he may be starting to recall repressed memories about what happened to his brother and what led to his current situation of having to raise his sister on his own. His inability to keep a job and apparently anger issues might be related to that unresolved trauma. And his fuzzy memories might explain why he doesn’t know his father is or was the owner of Freddy Fazbear’s. He may have been taken away when Fredbear’s was the only location, and he never associated the newer place with the man that abandoned him, etc.
But making Fredbear’s diner into William’s ‘lair’ of sorts is a useful way to merge multiple locations, doubling as the movie version of the rental bunker.
I can't wait for the FNAF movie. And William Afton is back again. The thumbnail for this video looks awesome by the way.

I feel like the movie is definitely a different continuity. The story the movie is telling seems to be all original but might have some details that could be used for lore.
I hope it’s like the Silver Eyes book. No lore clues( in his statement on the book’s canonicity he expressed that the book shouldn’t be used for lore but apparently people decided not listen) anything just standalone. He even trashed a 100% game lore story for being to overstuffed. A lot of his screenplays had nothing to do with the games anyway.
@@SCP-469 After FNAF 6 many things from the books went to the games, and it was the Novel trilogy that revealed William's motives and Henry and Charlotte were book characters that went to the games later.

I know that Vanessa is seen in the hospital in one part of the trailer, but I have a sneaking suspicion that she will be a ghost guiding Mike through this (hence, why she has all this knowledge about what is going on).

I'm so happy that we're finally going to get a motive for William Afton. The movie is going to have to give him a defined reason for why he does what he does, not just "because evil"

@@RyeToast I kind off wish that it would be cannon to the game series, because it would clean up a lot of the plot holes and dead ends in the main story. Unfortunately, you are probably right, and this movie will take place outside of cannon.
Edit: I just remembered the fact that Help Wanted has the throwaway line of the games being made by a rogue indie developer, Which means that this movie could actually take place in the main cannon. Still not likely, but slightly more plausible.

13:04 I think that maybe the reason why the animatronics are trying to separate Abby from Mike is because if Mike Schmidt really is Michael Afton, the animatronics might have confused him with William, like in Sister Location when Michael says "They didn't recognize me at first, but then _they thought I was you_." and they're just trying to "protect" Abby from their "murderer"

Springtrap isn't in this movie, that's just William in the Spring Bonnie suit.
Also before you say "But Springtrap IS William in the Spring Bonnie suit", that's only partially correct. William only becomes Springtrap after the spring locks go off and kill him or maim him to the point of near death, and he comes back years later as a corpse in an even more dilapidated Spring Bonnie suit. This, on the other hand, is not Springtrap, not YET.
I theorize William will show up to the restaurant wearing the Spring Bonnie suit - which will be withered in appearance due to the fact it's over 30 years old - and try to kill Michael and or Abby, but something will happen and the spring locks will be set off, causing his supposed death.
I don't think we'll see William as Springtrap until the 2nd movie. After all, Matthew Lillard has signed on for 2 more movies after this.

I think Mike gets turned into Golden Freddy - the trailer shows off how Mike and Abby hold hands and Golden Freddy and Abby hold hands later on in the trailer. Mike also gets that crazy mask thing put on him and Abby is smiling at him when they are in the taxi. Scott also mentioned way early on that the movie script would be the story of Mike, who’s probably William Afton’s son in the movie.

Finished the video. First of all you are the only smart person on this goddamned site. Second, I've been theorizing the "animatronics are protecting Abby" since the trailer drop and listen. Listen. They're not just aggressive towards Mike because he's an adult. We know from Sister Location that the animatronics, in at least one instance and probably in the first game, CONFUSED MIKE FOR WILLIAM. What these animatronics are seeing is their killer walking into the murder location, ALONE, WITH A CHILD. They are dEFINITELY protecting Abby but not just from anyone, they think they're protecting her from WILLIAM. They're gonna realize they're wrong however when they find out SpringBonnie is a thing, and that's when the spirits are gonna corner William and trap him.
SECOND, bro I NEEEEED you to talk about the Garrett/Crying Child theory. We saw a shot of him in the trailer in Mike's Woods Dream being driven away; from the social media of Young Mike's actor, he refers to Garrett as his "new best bro" and they're seen in a restaurant together; Garrett's actor had his own trailer, was on set for multiple days at least, and seemed to filming around the same time as Abby as he has videos hanging out with her actor as well, implying he may show up as a ghost; Garrett and Abby are also casted to look eerily similar to each other which could def fuel Michael's paranoia. And if CC is one of the spirits in Golden Freddy, no WONDER he's immediately friendly towards Abby and will help her save Mike... after all, "IT'S ME."
I’ve had a theory that William wants people to go to Freddy’s to kill them, and take their remnant. That’s what the contraption could be, a remnant harvester.
I love the idea that Fredbear's Family Diner, if it's even in the movie, is where William takes Mike to for the strange torture device scene (which, let's be real, feels like a Springlock suit personally modified by Afton for brutal murder than any of the animatronics on stage)
along with it being why Abby & Golden Freddy are taking a taxi from the pizzeria in the first place, that old place doesn't get as much importance as it does for being "the first location in Freddy's history where the Bite of '83 took place"
and it also seems oddly fitting for William to instead be springlocked at Fredbear's - where the tragedy begun is where it ends, for now atleast

I have a lot of thoughts about the trailer:
1: I think movie Michael is going to die and be stuffed into Golden Freddy. The short version is Michael gets got and goes onto possess Golden Freddy alongside one of the MCI kids. I think it would be a good explanation for the scene of Abby holding a Freddy’s hand and the taxi scenes. Also I think this could explain Michael in the forest with the kids- this could be a spirit realm of sorts.
2: Vanessa is sus. She seems so certain that the animatronics are haunted and claims to know what they want. Based on Michaels being like “ghost robots wtf?!?” the supernatural isn’t widely accepted in this world. Idk if she is an antagonist, misguided, or just knowledgeable for plot but it feels off to me.
3: I agree with Riley that the animatronics aren’t trying to hurt Abby. It’s established in the games and books that the animatronics are friendly towards kids and more agressive towards adults, especially security guards. So the animatronics seeing a kid with a security guard and think that she’s in danger fits in well with established themes/patterns in the franchise.
4: this is wild speculation and could be me making connections where they don’t exist. I think there are a lot of parallels between Michael, Vanessa, and Abby and the Afton kids in the games. I’m NOT saying Vanessa is actually their sister in the movie or anything like that, but I think there are some interesting similarities.
- Vanessa in the movies obviously shares a lot of similarities to game Vanessa (security guard, possibly working for William, etc). And I think most people are familiar with the comparisons of game Vanessa and Elizabeth.
- I feel like Michael is pretty self explanatory.
- Abby and Crying Child is less
obvious, Abby is a girl and alive while Crying Child is a boy and not alive. Which is fair. But there’s so little established of Crying Child’s character that his personality is basically wearing a striped shirt, having brown hair, and being associated with Golden Freddy/Fredbear. And guess who has brown hair, was wearing a striped shirt in the first teaser image, and is shown with Golden Freddy in the teasers and trailers we have. Abby.
Idk if these things mean anything but I noticed them and thought they were interesting.

I think Vannessa is working for William, maybe as a replacement for Fourth Closet Circus Baby. They could even be doing remnant experiments (though I doubt that'll happen). It could explain the other people sneaking into the abandoned restaurant though.
Notice that Michael’s car and a car in the restaurant parking lot is purple. Like in midnight motorist
Also, Golden Freddy’s eye is blue. Implying that he has both the crying child and Cassidy in him and might switch between them in the movie
I got the vibe from the trailer’s cut that maybe Mike DID get kinda scooped by whatever the spikey machine is when he’s trapped in the chair, but he gets put into the golden Freddy suit and that’s why they’re in the taxi together at the end, like shit goes down and Abby’s just like okay my big brother is an animatronic now time to go avenge him
Mike Schmidt is also Michael Brooks. The forest scene is a flashback. He is the GF kid. He gets taken away, around the mci, the animatronics, want him, not Abby. Mike gets killed and becomes GF, which is still Michael, protecting Abby.
The 'police officer' is actually named 'Shelly'. Obviously, she is Baby or Vanny though. I'd like to see the villainess be 'mrs Afton', but might be Ballora, or the real Vanessa, while Shelby is an animatronic.
It's also possible Steve isn't the Villain, but end up being Mrs Afton.
The people that break into the building are all relatives that lost someone to the rabbit. Hank is Henry. It's fine for him to die, if the second movie is going to be the novels, with Carlie as the main character, and her dad already dead. I think one of them is 'Jeremiah'

Some things I think that's going to happen:
William is using a fake name to get people to work for Fazbear's so he can get in after having to fake his name to avoid authorities.
Vanessa's 'knowledge' is more just a hunch. At least, I hope that's how it's presented.
The shot where Mike is screaming next to a door, that's Mike getting captured by William and strapped in the "device".
The "device" is the Golden Freddy suit. It looks like it, and I think Mike is possessing the suit.
At the start Mike and Abby they hold their hands in a specific way. A friendly Golden Freddy holding her hand the exact same way later just confirms this.
We see the words it’s me in the trailer so Golden Freddy is already possessed by this point so no.

The potential meanings for each of his names is interesting too.
William means "harnessed with a gilded helmet" (like Spring Bonnie) or "guardian", and Afton means "evening" (so his full name could be translated as "night guard").
His alias Dave means "beloved", something he desired to be in the books, and it's likely Miller was inspired (due to his obsession with him) by Henry's surname of Emily, meaning "rival".
TheGoldenAquarius has noted that the name Steve Raglan can be used to mean "glorified programmer" (the Welsh word Raglan being equivalent to the Ancient Greek "programma").

Great theory's I have been thinking the same thing about the animatronics protecting Abby not turning her in to one of them. And that Mike is still Michael Afton and he was adopted at some point by the Schmidt family and Abby is Mike's adopted sister. I agree its Spring Bonnie Springtrap will come in later.
Honestly, I think this movie is going to be at the VERY LEAST extremely fun and I cannot wait! Probably gonna have to stay off the internet the day of though so I don’t get spoiled since I’m gonna watch it the day after it’s release as that is my birthday. Watching the FNaF movie on my birthday is too much of a perfect opportunity to pass up for me.

I seen someone say that Michael dies around the end of the movie and he ends up possessing the Golden Freddy animatronic. Which would explain why Abby is so comfortable around him, and that both of them are trying to get away from the pizzeria.
Don’t really believe it myself, but I can see where they’re going with it.
9:42 finally someone brings this out, so far all the theory videos I’ve seen doesn’t talk about this line or just dismiss “oh so the animatronics are gonna kill Abby this means it’s probably just different from the games”
I definetly agree this theory, but I also had one other idea about the Golden Freddy with Abby stuff. If Mike Schmidt truly is Mike Afton, that means that some form of the Bite of '83 likely happened. If that is true, and the Crying Child is inside of Golden Freddy, then Abby is techincally his NIECE. This could be part of the reason why Golden Freddy is friendly toward Abby-even if he holds some resentment to Mike for the Bite, he recognizes that Abby is his family and should be protected. I don't have much evidence for this theory besides the established canon of the games, but one thing I did notice is that in Golden Freddy, only his blue eye is active. If I remember correctly, Golden Freddy had two glowing eyes in the bad ending of FNAF 3, and one glowing eye in the good ending, as a way of showing the Crying Child leaving while Cassidy stayed. I have theory on why Abby and golden Freddy are in the taxi together please read this. so Here’s what I think would happen, this is going to be a Elizabeth/baby situation when Golden Freddy shows no aggression to Abby so he could get her trust so he can lure Abby back to Freddy’s so Golden freddy and the others can stuff her into a suit to make her like them as Vanessa states in the official trailer. By the looks GF looks like he gonna do it himself and he seems more aware than the others maybe that’s why his eyes are blue? That’s my theory. What do u think? U can do a video on it, some people disagree with me but that’s I really think it’s going to happen.

Is it possible that being in hospital is what (in the movie universe) makes Vanessa vulnerable to being taken over by William? Maybe a head injury that muddles her memory and makes her at greater risk of manipulation? Or it might even be the impetus for a change in career… being attacked by robots as a cop certainly makes a game dev job look super safe and tempting in comparison

This feels like a much more polished version of the story with vannessa being introduced before help wanted and the mind controlling stuff.
Seems like Wiliam will probably die or wear the old springbonnie costume and then die.
In terms of connecting to the games it seems like the afton family story will be really similair but with some diferences.
Seems like Micheal had a brother (mini theory but the scene with micheal beating up a gaurd in the pool seems like he got angered by maybe a mentioning his involvement of his brothers desth at family diner) and still has a sister which lines up with Elizabeth eventually.
Only think we havent seen but there are actors on the list that dont have confirmed roles yet so im thinking henry will be in there somewhere even if he is not a main character

I have a personal theory: Afton and Mrs. Afton got a divorce when Mike was pretty young, so he may not recognize William at first.

The Female villain will definitely lead us into FNAF 2, and possibly FNAF 3. (The sequels to this movie.) Eventually leading up to the point where we are now in the games. Security Breach, with the Pizzaplex and such.
I have a feeling that it won't always follow Mike and Abby, but it'll still revolve around William and his atrocities. Just with the female villian as the leading part of the story. Vanessa will probably play a part in the sequel with the Pizzaplex.

With all the connections to "The Silver Eyes", Matthew Lillard stating he's part of a 3 picture deal, and the amount of elements from the series in this one film alone really makes me wonder, how exactly are the other 2 films gonna play out?
