Yeah! After our Overland Expo here i had pretty much decided i was going with 23Zero. But i still wanted to look around at other swags, and found very few brands that distributed to the US.
@@farmersgrip i can lay flat on my back with no issue (width wise). My dog (pit/lab mix) has slept with me in there once or twice, that is a tight fit, but it was fine 👍
Thank you for this video, I have been looking at swags lately for my motorcycle adventures due to the durability along with ease of setup/break down of them and I have been cautious of how long they are because I am 6'7" (used to be 6'8") and 300 lbs. you have definitely helped me make a decision.
You should invest in an easy fold stretcher they're super easy to set up, a little bigger and higher off the ground so easier to get in and out of and you can sit in your swag with your legs out like s seat great for taking off or putting on boots etc. The 23zero Alaska range canvas sleeping bags are awesome as well. my son and i use the 900 double and the 900 bandit both excellent swags but i prefer the double much easier to get in and out of. wishing you many happy swag adventures from Sydney Australia.
@@donaldo1974 yeah! I bought this cot for my previous tent setup to just get me off the ground inside my tent. Once it’s time to replace it, that’s exactly what I’ll do. The sleeping bag i have, I’ve been using for about 10 years now. It’s a Cabela’s Outfitter’s bag, rated at 0° (F). Its treated me very well! But i saw 23Zero’s bag at an Overland convention, and if i replace my sleeping bag, that’ll be on the list for competition
Lmao. When you got in and your feet and head slightly touched i was like that doesnt look big enough for mw. Than you said your 6'7 and im like, well my 6'2 ass will be fine haha. These look cool. I was looking at tent cots from camp rite. I had never heard of these swags before. Neat concept. Freaking australians haha
Haha! Yeah! It is tight quarters, but it’s very constable. I like sleeping enclosed like that. Also, now I’ve tested it sleeping in the rain and wind and freezing cold. Very happy!
Great video, I've been looking for a more portable cot option for my swag, thought the overhang might be an issue, but it doesn't seem like you've had an issue and looked stable using that big bear oasis cot. Thanks for the info!
Yes! The overhang it does have is actually perfect in a way. Keep rain away from the cot. One complaint, this cot is low to the ground. But it’s also very compact, so good trade off. The Big Bear Oasis cot is can’t find it on Amazon anymore, but any XL cot will be the same dimensions. 👍
You could! Let’s say i seasoned it “naturally”. Its been rained on multiple times now. It’s not completely canvas, it’s a poly-canvas blend, so it’s not really necessary like with full canvas.
That would’ve been worth mentioning in the video. I use the Big Grizzly Cot by Oasis Got it off amazon, not sure if this link will work, but here a.co/d/77oKZAN
Took a couple weeks. Maybe 7 or so business days. Once it shipped it arrived pretty quick. I believe they ship out of Utah (Salt Lake City area) if you’re in the US
As long as its the same dimensions or bigger. A slightly wider cot might even work better so that the poles of the tent actually rest on the platform of the cot, where with mine they’re hanging off the edge.
@@bigzoffroad makes sense thanks for the help will probably be getting the dual also. Y’all going to uwharrie this year? I’ve done several things on my rover since the last time I ran into y’all on the rocking mountain loop.
@@Thomas-mf6du yup! I think between the two it just depends on how you want the doors. The middle pole is nice because it helps the swag hold it’s form, but leaves a smaller entrance. Planning to hit up Uwharrie in April!
@@nate5234 oh! Yeah i have had this problem with a couple videos. Its my mic, it likes to record in stereo and then it only records the left channel on the GoPro. I missed the setting on the mic and didn’t realize in editing that it did that. 👍 Competing devices
Good to see these are getting noticed in the US, very popular here in OZ 🇦🇺

Glad to help another giant out!! 🤣
@@bigzoffroad is it wide enough to be comfortable or would the extra money for the size up worth it

Really glad this helped you with that! We’re the same size!! Haha
People are always shocked that i fit in this thing. I love it!
@@bigzoffroad I should ask as it looks like you have had this for a year now, do you have a long term review of it?

Ah cool I’m actually looking at this one and the bandit. Why did you choose the dual over the bandit?
@@Thomas-mf6du the bandit is 2 smaller doors on each side and has a middle pole.
Me just being so friggin big, don’t want to mess with a middle pole.
