I don't know Viking language, but still I like the awesome music and its intensity and hence I listen to Viking Metal. Also I like playing Viking like games like patapon.
The 'viking language' is actually just old norse, and old high German (Danes). But vikings or vikingar/vikingeren/vikingir/vikingis were just raiders. They raided as their king, lord, or jarl commanded. Often to nearby rival clans. However, occasionally, they would raid distant lands like Russia, England, Germany, France, Africa, the Middle East, North America, etc
