    Ron Bishop, formerly of Clyde Engineering NZ from 1960 thru(of and on) till 1979 has been in awe of TS14;s since he saw the first one arrive in Wgton destined for John Philp Contractor New Plymouth. Clyde celebrated the sale of the 100th TS14 before the Terex name appeared and the model must have made a lot for many Simple components and a glutton for work. The cabs in the video were initially conceived in Rotorua for machines roading in timber. Big brother TS24 had an awesome noise too!! Great

    Fatántisco, the sequence of loads was beautiful, and its position to see these machines allowed filming in a great performance, grew up seeing these TS-14B in service, parabens, continue sending updates of this work.

  • @ConstructionMachinesChannel

    Super video. Great camera angle on the operation. Cool seeing these old scrapers at work 👍

    I grew up near a stone quarry that used almost exclusively Euclid equipment. The sound of these screaming Detroits brings back memories.

    @ianfraser It looked like he had the ejector forward, like he was dragging, not loading.

    Thank you. Did a run many moons ago, here in Australia, on a Brazilian built TS-14B. It ran two 6V53N's. I distinctly remember the notice in the cab for the horn stating, "buzzina'!

    Greg lambs Ts14 In this video Was In the classic plant and machinery magazine last year, being a 7uot-61sh It was built in the Usa between 1964 and 1966 which makes It a Euclid built machine rather than a Terex.

    Hay good vid, Love the TS 14s, used to do alot of work on them when working for T&D. nothing like hearing a lovely screamer kicking the cats arse. I also worked on the only 2 TS 24s in the country, Ross Reids had them at the time then but not were now. they had push pull capability and were amazing the dirt they moved. No dozer invovled. 12v71 in the front and 6v71 in the back. Awsome.

    Interesting if watching Aussie or Kiwi scraper operators they carry their bowls low just of the ground, if watching Yank scraper drivers they carry theirs right up high, must be good brakes on Yank scrapers?

    24 are beasts at moving dirt. I would have loved to run a TS24 on this job! would have been kept smooth from top to bottom while hauling 24 yards of dirt at a time.. No caterpillar could have matched the TS24 for amount of dirt per hour or been as fuel efficient!

    • @tassi13827
      @tassi13827 Před 2 lety

      Many years ago I worked with both TS-24s and 631s. I'll take the 631s for both ease of loading and noise. The Cats moved more dirt than the 24s per size of machine because of their loading ability.
