    I have a 2017 white P2 which came with 105, it was really easy to upgrade it to Ultegra Di2, just order grommets and use the cable guides inside the downtube to route one 1000mm or so Di2 cable into the little window where the cable guides are. I didn't even have to remove the crank or bottom bracket.
    I do hope that the new 2020 P2 can be upgraded to Ultegra Di2 just as easily, as upgrading to the Ultegra Di2 instead buying a factory model with it, will save quite a lot of cash. And not all bikes have this kind of upgradeability, for example a Trek Emonda ALR 4 (Tiagra) 2019 model, can only be routed with cable since its not designed for Di2 at all.

    Love this bike. I had the P2 for a year and it is such a solid light weight all around great bike for the price.

      It really is!! I'm super happy with my purchase.. now time to save for some sick wheels :-) You drive a trek now, right? Did it survive your crash?

    Very good review! It certainly helped me in making a decision as to which Cérvelo model to buy. I'm not about to break the bank on a TT bike and this is definitely a good buy since they are currently on sale.

      @BrendonCamm  Před 3 lety

      Hey! I'm glad you got some value out of the review, I don't think you can go wrong with the P2! There is no real reason (that I can see) to spend 10k on a TT bike when we have these on the market, you can use that extra money for aero wheels and other fun stuff! Appreciate you taking the time to watch, enjoy your new ride :)

    Pretty much in the same boat as you were last year.I am considering the P2 or P3 Di2 or maybe an Argon 18 E-117, which is little cheaper but has this weird aero V-brakes. IMHO, the normal P3 isn't not really worth the extra cash because the frame is almost identical and the difference between 105 and Ultegra mechanical isn't significant enough. The elephant in the room is what will Cervelo (and Argon 18) release for 2020. My suspicion is a P2/P3 with disc brakes, which would make thinking....

    • @BrendonCamm
      @BrendonCamm  Před 5 lety +1

      Totally agree.. its very hard to justify the normal P3. I'd like to see disc brakes on the entry level tri bikes, I'm not a great bike handler so every bit of help is appreciated ;) I didn't realize Argons have different aero brakes, they sound interesting I'll have to give those a look. Thanks for watching Norman!

    Very informative. I have a problem though with my Cervelo P2 frameset. I cannot find a wheelset that fit it. Does a wheelset with a rim dimension of 622 x 21 fit this? Mine is a P2 650c model.

    What about Giant Trinity Advanced? A bit cheaper...

    • @BrendonCamm
      @BrendonCamm  Před 5 lety

      Definitely a great bike as well! Actually, one of the fastest guys in my local circuit rides one. For me, I found the Cervelo to be a little more responsive to pedal strokes if that makes sense & overall I felt more comfortable on it. I ride a Giant TCR Advanced for a road bike and I love that so Giant definitely knows what they're doing! From what I've heard Cervelo has put R&D into making their tri bikes more aerodynamic but who really knows and does it make a difference for the everyday fella? If you can get a bike that feels comfortable & you save a couple bucks it's a win win! If you can I'd try them both out to see what feels right :) Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment, have a great weekend!

    Nice review! Just considering to go for an upgrade and get a tt bike. Cervelo P3 is on my list. Anyway, what is the speed difference between tcr and cervelo, though you should get the same aero position on the tcr to compare. Anyway, what is your feeling, what is the speed gain at 30kmh against the tcr?

    • @BrendonCamm
      @BrendonCamm  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Active Zone! Yeah it's a little tough to figure out the speed difference without the same conditions, but that being said it's much more achievable to get in a proper aero position on my P2 compared to the TCR and stay in it for the entire duration of a race. I've found that on average for the same watts I've been able to go anywhere from 2-5k/hr faster on the P2. Honestly the biggest difference I've found is how much better I feel on the run when getting off of the tri bike compared to a road bike. My run doesn't suffer half as much, so even though there may not be a massive difference in bike time my overall race time comes down thanks to the fresher run legs!! Really appreciate you tuning in, I hope that helps :)

      Hey Dalton, I haven't personally tried that but I know a few people in my local club that have converted their tri bikes to aero road bikes. I just took a look at the stem and it seems pretty standard so I believe you could! That would be interesting to try. If you go that route I'd be intrigued to hear how you like it.
