The games with the biggest competitive scenes are at evo, so I guess that must have meant not many people were playing KI. But after watching this tournament this game seems a lot cooler and more fun than I initially thought so I might play it

I want this game to continue. I never played and I can’t stop binge watching videos about it so I can already say I’m hooked and hoping that this game gets the love it deserves in the future. It may not be in 2020 but let’s look and see what happens in 2021

Tusk's music for the Aganos mirror was freaking perfect
I loved that the crew in charge of the Overlay took the time to put which player was using what color on Aganos, that is something every TO should do on any mirror on any game
The fact that the combo after a player's health hits 0 causes the music to specifically follow the actual hits of the combo is fucking HYPE. It's as fucking hype as Tekken 7's slowmo, or DBFZ's dramatic cutscenes for supers. This game is STILL stylin' on the competition.
KI is going to have a great year with EVO and the status of it's online gameplay.

Microsoft is *dumb* as rocks. They have this awesome fighting game that runs all over Street Fighter and they did nothing with it. Damn shame. If poor ass Capcom can have a good pro series, why couldn't Microsoft with all that cash?
Not all of you just these two clowns. I bet they pick top tier charachters and spam special moves all day. Killer instinct best fighting game ever!
The best part is how much it influenced the industry. If you enjoy best of 3 online right now in fighting games thank KI.
If you enjoy the "season" update path that Capcom took with SF5 instead of releasing a whole new full price game with 8 new characters, again, thank KI.
If you enjoy actually being able to play online and not compensating your combos for lag (the good old days) again, thank KI.
KI'S netcode was superb, and every single fighting game had its own netcode relentlessly compared to Killer Instinct because it was the gold standard.
Remember when NETHERREALM completely revamped one of the recent Mortal Kombat's netcode entirely? That was due to NRS fans complaining, and comparing it to KI.
Whether or not you play KI or love it or hate it, if you've played a modern fighting game, it has taken some inspiration from this game.
I hope with what Max has done I hope Microsoft sees and listen to make a new KI.
We NEEEEEEEEEED a follow-up to this for 2020. Make it happen Microsoft!

This game is such a fun game to watch. I really hope we get a KI2 on Series X because everything about this game is awesome. The environments are top tier, the net code was flawless from what I heard, the characters look amazing and as people have pointed out the fact that there's so much variety shows good balance, and most importantly the game's announcer is fucking godlike. Seriously he helps make this game as epic as it is.

@@walterflanagan9674 not really true with mk11 lol beginners tend to over use grabs, pokes, and specials. Sonic fox, Dragon, Tekkenmaster, all good ass players. And their strings are crazy good. They just take a lot of practice.

Yes. Depending on the strength of the punch button used will determine the speed of the projectile.
Every fighter that uses projectiles has 3 different speeds they can throw. Light is slow. Medium is a little faster. Heavy is the fastest. Shadow version is like heavy but with extra hits, speed, or strength
Damn that first round Cinder was the better Dahlsim than Dahlsim could ever be.

Read up a little on how balanced this game is, the most accepted tier list is by a guy called Infilament, and the tiers go from S to A-. Any character can win tournaments. Pretty impressive for an 8 year old game.
