Nice haul. Morbid Angel used to be on Earache Records. They were still on the label when Heretic was released in 2003 and I saw them live for the first time the following year. And I’ve just realised that was probably around the time that you were born which makes me feel quite old!

I love Obituary I've seen them twice and met them once too, they're really cool guys, I own every Obituary album on vinyl, Darkest Day was the hardest one to find and also the most expensive too 🤘

Godzilla - Possessed Demo is badass its kinda Floridian "Old School" Death Metal by Gojira B4 they changed their name (its on CZcams/18min)...

Good video Niamh. Although you didn't show any Metallica you did mention death metal a number of times (Morbid Angel etc), which I refer to as thrash when talking about bands from the 1980s. I've always thought much of the debut Metallica album 'Kill 'Em All' from 1983, sounds more like lo-fi hardcore punk than metal as such. Curious for your thoughts on this!

Alcest is great, love their moody, mellow (most of the time) shoegazey metal. Definitely proggy!

I believe carbon is added in the
Manufacturing process to create black vinyl. As time moves on adding colour has become popular and is a positive marketing device for companies. Ive got some coloured records and playback
On most is comparable to the original carbon black.

When will young people realise , coloured vinyl is not cool , it sounds shit , black vinyl sounds best and always will do .
