With more than 9 km of sandy beaches, Torrox Costa is a welcoming place for everybody, from young to experienced. Enjoying a sunny day, eating in the restaurants with sea views and local food or just having a pleasant promenade walk in Torrox Costa will pause your routine succesfully.
Torrox is a municipality in the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It belongs to the region of Axarquía. It is located in the Costa del Sol, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra de Almijara.
The city itself is divided into sections: Torrox Costa on the sea and Torrox Pueblo, 4 km inland. Torrox Park, a housing section in between the costa and the village, could be seen as another division. Torrox is located in close proximity to Nerja.
Axarquía is a region of Andalusia in southern Spain. It is the wedge-shaped area east of Málaga. It extends along the coast and inland. Its coastal towns make up the Costa del Sol Oriental - one of the sunniest places in mainland Spain with the average of 320 sunny days a year. The natives of the region are called axárquicos.
