  • Blistering. Angry. Harsh.
The public comment portion of the Country Club Hills city council meeting of June 26, 2011, was direct and pointed, culminating in calls for Mayor Dwight Welch's resignation.

I love how the public is calling out the council members who were doing similar actions as the mayor. 😂

This is great seeing so many folks in the community taking part in their local government. My local government is getting out of control I’m going to find time to get more involved in my government.

    Pathetic council!!!
First off they have a Mayor that openly admits to miss using the City Credit card inappropriately, Council Members openly insulting each other with character assassination accusations in an open forum.
Secondly, while citizens are voicing their opinions and concerns in the 3 minutes allotted to them, I watched while Council members boldly and openly ignoring them while speaking amongst each other, as well as having to be reminded not to keep interrupting the Citizens while they were speaking.

Sickening isn't it?!? The council forgets who they actually work for.. the council needs to be fired and reminded.. A new structure and regulations need to be implemented.. one that does the good will of the ppl and not their own individual desires.

I just love to see these city council and other meetings locally. It's great to see people exercising their rights that are guaranteed by the good old US Constitution. People are speaking up about police abuse of power and with their elected officials. It smells like the 60s again. Could we have a renaissance in the making? People are getting into people again.

Woody Woodlstein the truth. the federal government's job should be only concerned with the protection of the amendments in the bill of rights. the rest, personal things that people need to decide whats right and wrong for themselves should be the concern of the state. gay marriage, abortion rights, immigration on the state borders, and drug prohibition are personal. it should be left to the state. i do not understand why these are always brought up in the presidential elections. its not their business. congress and the senate are inneffective at achieving anything anyways we might as well leave it to the states. the president should be most involved in international policy with the congress. war mustnt be declared unless its approved by congress.

I listened to the entire meeting. some good some bad what I do not understand is why were the folks that spoke in the public comments section. No one redacted them saying their name and address portion considering that cyber folks now have two things they need for identity fraud, I am not saying to not say their info but redact it before putting it out to the general public. Like the woman whom son was shot now his friends know who and where she lives incase their friends get arrested.

Uploading this video without redacting the addresses of the speakers is dangerous and negligent.
