I love seeing people doing this combo in the online Coloseum. My feathershield reflects it straight back into their face and I get free points.
Important note: both Sorcerous Connection and Keen Call are Limited skills, meaning only one will go off prior to Trinity Rain's 'second' casting. Given that a crit is 150% total damage of the base attack, unless you're using a significantly over-leveled witch to cast Sorcerous Connection and therefore giving the Trinity Rain witch more than half her base M.atk (instead of using her to cast Trinity Rain for some reason), it's better to use Keen Call, given that Keen Call doesn't have a negative like Sorcerous Connection does - and this allows Earthquake to be cast at full damage plus the stun.
Another key thing is that Start of Battle buffs can be canceled out by dispells, like wereowls have, so if you're facing an enemy wereowl, the fight will probably proceed as though Quick Cast never went off, but the Trinity Rain witch will be short two PP. I think that, a Feathershield's magick mirror, and a start-of-battle snipe of either the Trinity Rain caster or the Quick Impetus caster are the main things that can shut down this combo.

@@greggreyes6869 It's really not? Like "hard countered" means actually useless which isn't true. It is less useful but it's not like worthless. Just stay away from the Shield guys but in my experience there aren't a huge amount of them in the first place. It is fair to say the feathershields hard counter it but they hard counter all magic, that's the point of their class.
Your end game counters are being blinded, magic reflect, and being dispelled once your team member uses the hood on you.

Yeah, I learned the hard way that feathershields shut this build down hard.
@@trevorweisberg8470 you can counter it by having another caster go first, and have gambler's coin for example reduce the chance to hit of that spell to the point where it won't hit your characters if reflected
And this is why yufini with glacial ring and hawk eye with warhorn pretty much destroys 90% of encounters
@@onion_____ Pft, she's amazing no matter how you use her. I have her as a frontline dodge tank coupled with a druid wielding the sandstorm staff, it's awesome watching her knock out whole groups of enemies each time they try attacking her.
You mention that in the video Limited trait skill conflict and it is for every type of skill so Keen Call and Familiar connection does not work together juste Like Rapid Order and Quick cast.
Enjoy the combo while you can, cause reflect magic just demolishes the combo. And owl's buff dispell hurts the combo too.
But for more fun combo-ing, give your Trinity Rain caster the item that double casts so you can two uses of Trinity rain (which makes Sorcerous Connection just better), and use an item to give your caster max initiative instead!
With great power comes great potential to have it taken away and death
Eventually you'll get the Lips' Ring which is essentially Quick Cast but I can target another unit, which will free you up to use Recast from the Magia Soul for even more damage

Familiars Medallion buffs magic on another. You get the damage of 3x Trinity Rain.
Lip'sRing > Trinity Rain > Familiars Medallion > Magia Soul > Trinity Rain
I feel like using the magia soul and a wizard is better because often I fight featherbows who love getting off a blind before I finish casting. With magia soul, I can still get a second cast off and now without blindness.
One word. Feathershield. 🙃
Another combo like this uses the Wyvern’s dragoon dive, except there is really no risk of it being reflected. You can have it conferred, damage boosted with war cry and given truestrike with really any method - my favorite being the Heavenwyvern’s Reigns which also grant an extra 20% physical dmg. Trinity Rain is a good build, but it takes longer to come online. Dragoon dive build can be used as early as Drakenhold.
One counter in the entire game does not a combo break.

Not a fan of trinity rain as it cant be tomed. board nuke + buffs for sure though is the way to go once you get access to it.
early on you have arrow rain and dragoon dive. Dragoon dive IMO holds up alot in the coliseum and later on due to the double dmg v cavs while being physical (can be tomed). arrow rain is nice to start then gets replaced once you get yunifi and glacial arrows. That holds up alot because its physical and freezes. You dont want a primary board nuke thats pure magic as that'll just get negated by radiant knights or reflected by feathershields.
then mid-game, you get access to the best no-charge ones in elemental roar from the elven sisters. bruno/gladiators get to level 30 soon so you can get their no-charge physical board nuke too.
Then once you hit bastorias, you'll get access to the telluric staff for earthquake and morard and his board nuke. Earthquake IMO is better than trinity rain. It stuns, is cheaper and is no charge. Only problem is its pure magic. Its great for a secondary board nuke. Morard's board nuke is the same as gladiators.
whats missing in your team are elven archers who can help counteract the dispels of wereowls and shining light of angels. These are the counters to the board nuke + impetus strat. the optimal team structure is:
1. board nuker
2. someone to impetus. Ideally has another role like tank.
3. an elven archer or etolinde. They will perform a bunch of roles for you. They will protect you against your hard counters with pure field. Bow of quickness can be set to shut down wereowls/angels at start of battle. Mystic conferral is another buff to add to the board nuker. Give this unit high initiative. They can heal the party too.
4. a mage who can use conferral tome. Typically assumes a secondary nuker role.
5. another tank. can have a secondary role like an end of battle healer.
heres an example of the unit described above:
frontline- celeste (evade tank, impetus unit) and liza (evade AND guard tank, end of battle healer)
backline-yunifi (board nuker), lhinalagos (cleanser, healer, mystic conferral) and auch (stun tome conferral, secondary nuker)

Please do a death lance build! I got my werefox to trigger it twice on occassions. Double instant death is niche but pretty neat, theres gotta be a way to do it more efficiently. Im thinking elgor once i get him(ik its possible saw an arena team with him).......not that it matters by that point in the game 😢
Shaman are faster than werefox.
Shaman > Poison staff > Werefox Deathlance
A lot of folks like the Trinity combo because of the magic potency. Another setup could consist of having 1 person use 'Hastened action' to boost max initiative on the witch, so the witch can then use 'recast'. Then use other members for activating sorcerous connection and Quick Impetus. This lets you get 2 casts of Trinity Rain off within the first round.That could work with some of your other passive skills to boost crit rate etc. I don't actually use this Trinity 1 round build in my game though since it's too OP and I'm trying to spread the action between all my units.

Also I forget, can ice/thunder conferrals work on magic attacks?
Nope. Magic Conferral buffs dont work on magic but work on Physical. Wyverns firebreath, Gladiator Bomb dive,Twin Elf Elemental Barrage, Arrow AOE, Bear's Earthquake. Wyvern 2x fire + Stun is my bae.

I would put this, honestly, as your C or D board nuke team. You probably can get it earlier than some others so that might put it at A in early-mid game. As soon as you have the elf sisters and Yunifi at 30 you have 3 better board nukes and only 1 of them takes a charge. Even with recast I'm not convinced that this is much better than dragoon dive.
A should be Rosalinde, B should be Yunifi.

Sorcerer’s connection doesn’t work? I can’t get enough damage to get the unicorn sword.
How did you get dews of illusion in your shop, it says infinite stock but my shop has zero for sale, it doesn’t even show up..

You can't combine Keen Call and Sorcerous Connection but what you CAN do is equip the Sniper's Amber Lens on your caster and the Familiar's Choker on a support character (+ Lip's Ring if needed). These effects don't conflict and give Trinity Rain +50% Mag. Attack, Guaranteed Critical, and Truestrike. Accounting for 1 more character to wear the Cat-Ear Hood, the setup only requires a total of 3 characters to be effective. Any remaining spots left in the unit can focus on clean-up and account for contingencies.
I'm sure some people will complain about trading the ability to Recast for this configuration but a Buffed, Truestrike, Guaranteed Critical is probably always going to be better than a double cast.
Not in practice, no. 2x casts can get through barriers, blindness, buffs, reflects, Survive 1Lethal hit, and heals. There's too many ways to survive 1x cast, even with True Strike + Crit.
@@almostontimehero5415 You'll end up with more stragglers more often relying on double casts plus you have to deal with your accuracy roll on each of the 6 hits to get your damage through without Truestrike. Unless the Survive Lethal enemy buff is for an entire attack, not just 1 hit, then Trinity should have the power to plow through it anyway. Either setup will need some squad members to mop up after the cast and I find they have less trouble doing so when I run Hawk Eye over Recast. The Hawk Eye strategy possibly frees up an accessory slot for something like a Sorcerer's Medallion and allows another character to run Recast instead.
Edit: Truestrike doesn't bypass blindness.

I do a similar setup but with Glacial Rain. Quick Impetus is insane.
You forgot to mention. keen call and serious connection doesn't activate together prior to activating trinity Rain.
Small correction on the cost here. The Millenium Scepter only costs 30 shards and the white car ear-hood twenty.
However i agree about Trinity Rain. This ability turned Auch into an absolute druid-proof nuke.^^ And Warlocks trade the quick cast of the Wicca for the ability to finish off the one survivor guarded by a Hoplite or Sainted Knight thanks to their lvl 25 passive. Though i actually turned tactics in a way, that Auch only starts casting Trinity Rain if there are 4 or more targets on the field on his turn. Cause if only three targets remain then Fireballs and Thunderstorm are more than enough.^^
Where do you pick up precious rod for that limited heal skill?
I'm trying to recall where I got my first one that you see in this video. You do get one from the Bastorias treasure maps, but I did those after I recorded this.
This doesn't work against higher level enemies, even quick cast doesn't proc quick enough in the colloseum ranked matches. Which takes ages to cast trinity rain.. what am I doing wrong? Also sorcerers connection isn't working, the other witch doesn't confer the buff!
I know you said that there are magic counters later on at the moment but there is one other big counter to this strategy and thats other sorceress', since they will get access to ice coffin which you would've already seen allowing them to freeze your backline since it targets the row with the most people and putting a stop to this. They do start getting splashed around in generalist teams so something to be careful of and not easy to avoid. You'd be surprised how consistently something like this causes big trouble in little Fevrith
They won't get ice coffin off before your first cast of Trinity
I would imagine that'll be the case 90% of the time but with some of the occasional high initiative quick cast sorcereress', the spook is real but there are ways to circumvent it anyway, so at the end of the day. Good strat, has one minor way of being overcome but easily dealt so it's good overall. I might try and abuse it in my True Zenoiran run

Tried using this build to take down Amalia in the colosseum, but they all still get wrecked and die before I can get Trinity Rain off... am I doing something wrong? Ive copied everyone's skills exactly as in the video. I reached spot #2 with this, but can't beat Amalia.
It's best to grind Amalia down by stealing AP/PP from her so she can't get to her board wipe attack.

the rogue attacking Alain with his pp-block is pretty bad, he should target the owl or anyone else really.
In the arena I remember one fight that's pretty tricky with a quick-impetus-cheese setup. It had a griffin with a dispel item which would f up your impetus chain, and she was protected by an evade skill. It was a bit of a head-scratcher to figure out how to kill her without ruining the rest of the setup

So my sorceeous connection is going off but keen call isn't... She keen calls other attacks but not the big trinity set up
I have the opposite problem where Keen Call activates but not Sorceress Connection...

I got my second cat hood last night and recast, just for this mix for a 4x rain.
(Edited) You can't get 4 rains, u can get 3, but it's horribly unlikly due to setups. The best u can do is 2 rains with truestrike and guarantee crit one first hit, not on recast.
4x rain? As in 4 rains in one party or 4x damage?
@jaimegonzalezjr2169 Well, let me be the first to apologize for some misinformation. Was under the assumption that two quick impetus stacks (they sort of do) and recast would trigger wereowl restore. Both do not. Which I should have tested first before opening my mouth. Althought did manage 3 rains, but it would never work in actual combat. Again im sorry.

And then enemy will spend 1 pp to remove those buff your caster xD Still an opening Rapid fire from Archer will also counter that said enemy :3

ditch Sorcerous Connection, and Ditch the Sorcerers Medallion and just give her a hood for just more magic attack. Move Alain away from the Trinity Rain user so they dont get Full Columned. This is just Me, i wouldnt use the Earthquake staff, try the Wind Secepter. Also Bastoria's has hidden Magia Soul, you should try Magia Soul instead of the Lapis Pendent with your Trinity Rain, that way it hits twice.
Wereowl doing absolutely nothing for you in this composition, anything could have 4pp and do the same role while having more useful AP skills for your strategy. Your second sorceress also isn't using Sorcerors connection as the Keen call is limited and blocking it, take the choker off it's a dead slot, heck take the second sorceress out to be honest what she's doing doesn't add much either.
They add durability and versatility in situations where trinity rain does pop due to enemy owls and the like
I personally hate the pvp arena being in game at all, mainly because I did not started to play the game from day 1, so only just unlocked area and everyone has this build already set up XD.
It sucks, but thankfully you can keep changing and looking for groups in PVP repeatedly without wasting anything. I always search out any casters in the group that have anything from Trinity Rain to Sandstorm and everything in-between. Eventually you'll find something that your squads can take out if you just keep looking. Some people just want to help others out and get them the tokens; mine is a decently powerful group but easy to destroy with a cheese-worthy group.

Glacial Rain (TrueStrike buffed) + Lighting Conferral + Witch Ice Coffin
You can hard counter pretty much any build in this game.
Trinity Rain? Get some Feathershields and laugh. Or Wereowls and laugh. Or a Rapid Bow. Or blind them. Or... you get the idea.
Don't worry. Even losing all the pvp fights still gets you 200 coins per day. No need to rush anything. Enjoy the game, get fun builds of your own, have fun.
I think I pretty much just quick cast ice coffin both instant trinity rain and dragon dive teams in coliseum.
For people who are going to use this, be very careful on True Zenoiran against enemy feathershields. If you walk up and cast trinity rain into them, you will likely lose your entire squad, and that means you are losing likely your best squad. I also personally preferred just letting Alain's rapid order allow my unit to move much faster and giving them a raven plume, rather than wasting rapid order's incredible buff.
